Starting an April thread because I couldn't see one yet.

I'm 33 (for another week!)
TTC baby number 4
Cycle 3
CD 3
BFP due 11/04

AF is nearly over here, I'll actually be fertile when DP is off work this month which helps. If I get my BFP this month I'll be due in the middle of December.

I'm invoking Murphy's law this month. I'm bound to get a BFP the week before we go for a child free week's holiday right?

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I suppose I'm on the April bus although not really sure.

Age: 32, DH 33
TTC #1

We only decided to start TTC about 10 days ago, had my Mirena (which I'd had for 4+ years) out one week ago, and now starting. Only had 1 day of spotting after the removal. Really at this point I think I'm just waiting for my first AF so I can start to see what my cycles are like as I truly don't remember.

I feel like I'm going mad already and time has never passed more slowly so I'm happy to have some people to chat with along the way! Good luck to everyone here!

Another thought, does anyone have a recommendation for a prenatal vitamin they're taking that agrees with them? I chose one at random off the shelf and it is called Swiss Natural Total One Women, however twice now I've taken it on an empty stomach and become so suddenly nauseous that I was panicking in my car . Thinking I might need a different one...

Took the plunge and bought some cheapy OPKs from Amazon, figured it's worth knowing ovulation patterns up front.

Only CD4 but looks like AF is on her way out after a fast and furious visit.

What day should I start testing on the opk?

Afternoon all, I’m 7dpo (ish I think) today and starting to get really impatient with the 2ww now. Anyone else start taking frequent trips to the bathroom to check cm and cervix position (or is that just me?!!) as if it’s going to change that much during the day! Definitely got some cm which I’m taking as a positive sign and cp is low and soft. I know high and soft is a good indicator so trying not to take the low position as a negative sign.

@LP17 no joke 6 people I know have announced pregnancies in the last couple of months and whilst I am so so happy for them deep down I am insanely jealous. I have definitely perfected my ‘happy face’

@emdoc I’m taking the pregnacare before conception vitamins and take them every evening with my main meal and so far I haven’t had any problems

chocaholic1 I’m the same, nothing unusual to report sadly, cm is exactly the same as every other month, cervix is high-ish and soft.

Boobs hurt even just walking up the stairs but again that’s not unusual.

@emdoc I had my Mirena out at the end of Jan, had a very short 2-day period at the beginning of Feb, then a 5-day one 18 days later. Then it seemed to settle down as that cycle was 27 days and I ovulated on Day 15. Hope yours gets back to normal quickly - I think I used to have around a 28 day cycle.

For vitamins DH and I are taking the Pregnacare Him and Her ones with dinner and have had no problems.

@everythingnow are you due af on Saturday or planning to test then? Saturday is the earliest I said to myself I could test...really hoping to hold out another couple of days but I got some 10ml internet cheapie sticks with my last order of FRER so might use them to pass the time!!

Thanks @EverythingNow and @Chel1888 for the kind words about my bladder. It's so inconvenient because I just get this mad urge to wee and I'm often on my own in the classroom and just have to hang on. Cutting out sugar is a good call. I'm already not drinking, just in case.

I'm probably being a bit dense, but what is TWW? Is it something about The Wait? I can't work out the middle W. The... Wistful Wait? The Wellhurryupandshowmeafuckingpositive Wait?

@LP17 Isn't it just the most disgusting drink of your life? I've bought two more cartons of it, even though I think I've probably already ovulated.
I'm still asking DH to perform every other day until CD31 (the latest I've ever ovulated). Poor guy. He's looking a bit worse for wear! I was told men just loved this part of baby making but I'm experiencing a very tired husband. It is a lot of pressure...

I'm already stocked up with internet cheapies, FRERs and Digital Clear Blues. I'll save the FRER and Digital for the weekend of the 6th of April, but I'll probably be using random cosmetic lids to piss into for the internet cheapies all of next week. Because I love to punish myself. And ruin my lids.

P.S. What is normal for temperature and cervix after ovulation? My temperature is really random, and I wonder if it's because the heating is now off in the mornings?

chocaholic I’m not 100% when I’m due tbh. I think AF is due Sunday but she could turn up between Friday and next Wednesday. Ill probably test sooner to decide whether to drink on the bank holiday as have some plans.

I've been ttc around 7 months now though I did fall pregnant last July unexpectedly but MC in the August just under 6 wks. I wasn't trying last year, it just happened but since then I've had very irregular periods and nothing but BFN 😞
I am using the Flo app and I should be ovulating this week which is great as my DP is home till Monday (he works away) so fingers crossed I'm lucky this week and will get a BFP next month. I would absolutely love a Christmas baby 🙏x

It's my birthday tomorrow and we leave for a weekend away (where I believe there will be little signal, and lots of extra curricular activity), so I'm hoping to come back to some BFPs :)

@emdoc I just use pregnacare and that seems to be ok for me! I got my partner the male version as well (not that hes very good at taking them).

I'm on CD13 now but predicted ovulation is not until next Friday, but going on a hen do that day. Definitely going to DTD the morning of or considering arriving a bit later in the evening even to wait for BF to get home from work as I don't want to miss out for the month! We'll see what ovulation tests say nearer the time! I just want it to hurry up but it's such a long wait!

@emdoc i have been taking the seven seas trying for a baby tablets. Seem good for me.
soooooooo 10 days until i can test on ovia app lol. i really didnt think i would be symptom spotting... stil got lots of cm.. and been getting a sharp crampy pain in my left pelvic side this evening. oh and im so tired. lol. iv gt my fingers crossed so tight haha

@emdoc I take pregnacare, but have tried numerous different ones. I've found that I have to take them at the same time as my main meal otherwise I feel sick too, may be try that first before changing!

I’m 31, got a 9 soon 10 year old dd from a previous relationship! Been trying for 2/3 weeks but came off pill about 3 weeks ago, had a break through bleed and nothing since then... so not sure where to start or if I’ve fallen already, I bought some cheap early tests of amazon but a bfn 🙄 although I guess would be far too early!!!
My body is feeling weird though but poss pill withdrawal!!! Anyway nice to meet you all and good luck 💝 xxxx

For those taking pregnacare have you found your cycles have altered? I read a lot about longer cycles etc so I decided to take folic acid by it's self as I have irregular cycles as it is. X

I'm good thanks, for once haven't already sickened myself of TTC this month having been neck deep in packing boxes, but plenty of time yet ;) second month on the Clearblue control so can't try OPK's this month but if we don't get lucky will have the Clearblue ones to use from next.

@Boboelephant also starting FW today, due to ovulate Tuesday. Here's to doing it like (easter) bunnies...

@stackhouse did you ever find out when to start with OPK's? Would be glad to know for the future.

According to the calculator, if April's my month conception would be Easter weekend & EDD would be Christmas Day :/
