AF arrived today so I am now hoping for a March bfp.
This is cycle 6, ttc #2. Aged 32.

Never started a thread before, so hopefully you will join & we can symptom spot together!

@emilyrose1290 the positive comes up when you’re just about to ovulate, which could be anywhere from 12-48 hours from now. Aim to DTD today, tomorrow and Monday to maximise chances Smile

flyingplum · 10/03/2018 13:09

@LookingAtTheStars89 do you get ovulation 'symptoms', like ovary pain or ewcm? I have PCOS and endometriosis, and relatively irregular periods, but always assumed I did actually ovulate because of my symptoms. But everything I've read suggests that might not be the case (particularly EWCM)?

Lemonsnlime · 10/03/2018 13:16

I’m new here. Been Ttc for 15 months for #1, 33 years old. Feel silly joining mumsnet when I’m not a mum yet but don’t have anyone to talk to about it except DH.

AaronPurrSir · 10/03/2018 13:22

@lemonsnlime Welcome! Don’t feel silly, a lot of us here are in the same boat Smile

SqidgeBum · 10/03/2018 13:25

Lemonsnlime no, that is exactly why we are all here. We all talk on here because most only talk to DH/DPs but they dont really understand how it feels as a woman TTC. I only joined this month (I am on cycle 8 TTC #1) but it has helped me a lot to see so many others dealing with the same things. I thought I was going mad before. Welcome Smile

Lemonsnlime · 10/03/2018 13:25

Thank you! Ovulating right now but don’t think I’ll be on the March bus as still not dtd! Sad

LookingAtTheStars89 · 10/03/2018 14:03

@flyingplum. It's funny you should ask, up until the last two cycles, my cm was pretty good, I got a decent amount of watery/ewcm now I'm lucky if I get a finger tips worth! My sex drive goes up mid cycle nowadays which it never did before. I had a day 21 test last month and it came back at 17, my cycle last month was only 26 days so it would've been two days out. According to the NHS between 16-28 is classed as "borderline".

LookingAtTheStars89 · 10/03/2018 14:03

@SqidgeBum. You mean we talk AT dh/dp's Grin

flyingplum · 10/03/2018 14:29

Sorry, not quite up to speed with the numbers - 16-28 of what is borderline what? embarrassed ignorance face

bubblybrit · 10/03/2018 14:36

@LookingAtTheStars89. AF just arrived. Double disappointment as my DH and I are staying at a hotel tonight to celebrate our anniversary....so no BFP and no naughtiness this evening. Lol. Ah well at least I can have a few cocktails 🍸!!

I’ve not read all this thread so apologies if you have already updated but how did your DH get on with his appointment? Xx

LookingAtTheStars89 · 10/03/2018 15:09

@flyingplum. I don't quite get it myself lol. A good level of progesterone to say you have ovulated is supposed to be 30nmol + But some how they have a borderline bracket of 16-28nmol. I still don't get how that works lol. I will ask my Dr next time I see him. Maybe it's supposed to be if you weren't exactly 7 days past ovulation when you had the test?

@bubblybrit. FFS! She always arrives at a sucky ass time. How long was your cycle this time? I'm sorry it wasn't your month Flowers Pamper yourself with goodies and a nice hot bath. That's one thing I do enjoy when AF arrives, a hot bath, like burning your skin off hot lol.

DH's sperm sample result was great, until it got to the morphology % which was only 3%. According to bus data, natural conception is unlikely. I think I'm kind of pretending it my head that it's not happening and carrying on as normal. I'm hoping with diet modification egg it can be changed. If not we are looking at IVF with ICSI Sad I don't think DH is keen on that due to costs.

bubblybrit · 10/03/2018 16:10

@LookingAtTheStars89. Yeah it’s not the best time but trying to remain positive and will be indulging in a few glasses of wine!

Ah I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t get the results that you wanted Flowers although it may be ‘unlikely’ it doesn’t mean that it is impossible so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you! Would you qualify for any nhs funding for your ivf if the cost is an issue for your DH?

Emilyrose1290 · 10/03/2018 21:04

Thanks @AaronPurrSir! Me and DP have been dtd every other day anyway to be on the safe side..

LookingAtTheStars89 · 10/03/2018 21:30

@bubblybrit. No, anything we need like that would have to be paid for. Glasses of wine sound good :-) I've said to DH that it's probably best if he avoids alcohol altogether, given the results. We don't really drink so it's not an issue.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 10/03/2018 21:31

@bubblybrit. Enjoy your time. Wine

xLauraa · 10/03/2018 22:34

@LookingAtTheStars89
That's good then! I know they have to basically 'check boxes' for when they're doing referrals etc..
That's the one symptom I don't have! I have the rest. I'm not chunky anymore but my weight comes off very slow, despite training twice a day and walking 10-12 miles per day :(

You'd hope they'd do something if they have evidence you aren't ovulating, and I thought that they tell you to try for 12 months then if nothing they do something 🤔 it's as if they alll have their own rules sometimes. You just got to cross your fingers for a nice GP😂 I stick to the same one even if it means waiting a bit longer for appts!

Ah we have the bloods done on the same day 😁 I've pre booked my follow up. You should try do the same! May be quicker!!

Aw I'm sorry! My DP is on TRT so he's going to get checked too! We're very alike by the sounds of it!!

FingersXssd83 · 11/03/2018 07:13

Gah! Desperately needed a good sleep and been up since 4am with cramps and AF to arrive one day early (woo for Mother's Day!).

Now on cycle 9 TTC #1 (age 34).

Not looking on social media today as it will be full of gushing posts.

Getting fed up of this now although just this last cycle I've begun to relax a bit more... DH has a SA on Monday so that feels like a bit of progress at least!

See ya'll on the April bus! X

Owlpatrol · 11/03/2018 09:22

Morning ladies just catching up....@LookingAtTheStars89 snap with ewcm this month almost non existent I forgot to opk on cd12 and worried I may have missed it or not yet got a positive opk I'm on cd14.
@Lemonsnlime you've come to the right place I'm on cycle 15 Sad no kids yet and no bfp ever!
@bubblybrit hope you had a nice night. I'm currently suffering from hangover despite saying I wasn't going to drink this cycle my friend twisted my arm last night (she doesn't know I'm ttcing)

Nothing much to report here still no opk. Still no deeds. Probably out lol. Mothers day sucks!

I randomly started googling adoption this weekend and considering it as an option in the future because i don't think I could do ivf injections. Surprisingly I actually am really positive about the concept of adoption.....

Must book that doctor appointment I'm so silly for being a chicken. I'd have thought if id have pcos I'd know? I'm a bit chunky with a bit of hair on my tummy but that's because I have dark hair!? God knows!

AaronPurrSir · 11/03/2018 10:32

My DP is feeling the strain of DTD to schedule, he’s getting too stressed and struggling to finish. Has anyone else had this? I’m not sure what to do, I hate putting pressure on him but we won’t get pregnant without putting the work in Sad

Lemonsnlime · 11/03/2018 11:53

Yes I’m the same! You don’t want to make too big of a deal because that will just make him worse but at the same time you’re panicking at the the thought of a wasted month!
My DH has been jet lagged after traveling this week and every night he’s put it off. Actually lay in bed last night seething as he was snoring beside me Angry

PassTheAfterEights · 11/03/2018 17:09

Hi everyone, happy sunday Smile

Just checking in really, bored & trying to ignore uterus not pee on my internet cheapies at 4/5dpo

March feels like a loooong month so far! Hope we get a few BFP's to celebrate this week x

Emilyrose1290 · 11/03/2018 17:20

@AaronSirPurr yes me too! OH very excited at lots of DTDing at first, but the pressure does get to him. We are trying to do every other day which is a struggle as he works late shifts. Have found not telling him when I’m ovulating works best for us. I use OPK but just don’t let on. By doing it regularly anyway there’s less pressure when it ‘counts’. But yes I feel your frustration when he couldn’t ‘perform’ I tried to be sympathetic and not get annoyed, imagine how he feels etc, but I side was so upset about wasting time, the gap with DS getting bigger etc. It’s all very stressful!

SqidgeBum · 11/03/2018 18:44

Ok. I need someone to talk some sense into me, please! I am 8DPO but my AF isnt due according to my app for another 8 days or so. For the past two days I have been feeling queasy around mid afternoon for about 3/4 hours, and then it passes. It feels like car sickness, not enough to make my physically sick, just waves of queasiness.I am emotional to the point that I nearly cried over a cardboard box that wouldnt bend for me today, and then a half an hour later I was doing the whole 'maybe I dont even want a baby!' moan. Then suddenly I was fine again. I have been cramping, very light, not like AF, and had clear discharge from 5-7DPO (sorry for the TMI). It has stopped now.

This couldnt possibly be symptoms of pregnancy right? Its way too early. Its implantation time, not symptom time. I just need someone to say 'its unlikely' as I think I am overthinking things when logically at 8DPO it couldnt be. DH is just saying 'it would be great if it is!'. I need to hear logic. Help, please!

Owlpatrol · 11/03/2018 19:49

@SqidgeBum aww honey I know how you feel however without trying to give you any false hope those do sound like gppd symptoms soooooo keep us posted. Apparently implantation can happen from 5dpo any I think anything before that is purely hormonal x

Finally got positive opk this afternoon dtd this morning but not enough time to hold legs up so most came out (sorry tmi!) So keep plugging to dtd tonight as well

SqidgeBum · 11/03/2018 20:33

How bad is it that I actually didnt think of implantation symptoms! I always just thought of implantation bleeding as the only symptom and that doesnt always happen. I am trying not to get my hopes up. Still a long wait til Saturday which is the first realistic time I could test really (3 days before AF is due). I just cannot let myself get excited again. I was just too disappointed last month. I am trying to assume all are just AF symptoms.

Good luck with tonight @Owlpatrol!
