AF arrived today so I am now hoping for a March bfp.
This is cycle 6, ttc #2. Aged 32.

Never started a thread before, so hopefully you will join & we can symptom spot together!

I'll be testing on Saturday too @SqidgeBum! Testing buddies! Fingers crossed for us both - and everyone else on the bus!

xLauraa · 12/03/2018 09:22

@Owlpatrol go see the GP it's worth knowing. And because you've been TTC for 12+ months they'll get wired in straight away 😁 even if they just do a few tests it's a start 😊 I was really worried at first but I'm so happy I went now!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/03/2018 09:46

@xLauraa. Hey. Just thought I'd keep you updated. I called my GP for further information about what my results meant but I only got through to the Secretary. She said that my results had gone back to clinical admin and to phone them at 1pm. Now I'm even more confused!

xLauraa · 12/03/2018 09:54

@LookingAtTheStars89 how strange, I have no idea what that means! Wouldn't she just let you book an appt with your GP so you can talk about the results? Hope you find it soon!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/03/2018 10:01

@xLauraa. I originally asked for a telephone consultation. I'm worried now that they are going to tell me something bad!

Alex2790 · 12/03/2018 10:20

I do ovulation test and it just shows you how wrong app’s can be according to the app i ovulated on the 4th but using ovulation ticks i actually got peak on the 9th. Which is ten days before my period is due which is quite close to my period due date. Wonder if i would actually feel implantation or anythin x

Ginge12 · 12/03/2018 10:30

Cycle day 23 for me today and my temp has gone up further 🤞🏻 Jesus my boobs are killing today and feel massive!! Hoping it's all a good sign as don't normally get this before AF!

I actually managed to avoid POAS this morning, so proud of myself!!!

Any BFP's today?

Owlpatrol · 12/03/2018 12:46

Yeah planning to book dr soon do you have to have an appointment first or just request bloods on the phone to receptionist?

Got a positive opk last night but didn't dtd again last night

sodababy2 · 12/03/2018 13:28

@Owlpatrol I'd book an appt first and go from there. I went when I was TTC #1 and it was taking a while. GP was really good and referred me for blood tests and scan and DH for SA. Fortunately I never had to have the tests as I got my BFP a few days after! Hopefully the same will happen for you!

@Alex2790 Apps only give average dates and are only really useful if you've been recording data for a while so it gets to 'know' you. An app will predict you ov on CD14 and have a 28 day cycle. Obviously that's not the case for us all!!

I'm 7dpo and feeling pretty down. This time last month I just knew I was pregnant and I got my BFP on 10dpo (although lost it). I just don't think we've done it this month Sad

PassTheAfterEights · 12/03/2018 13:57

@LookingAtTheStars89 crikey that's a pain, any news? hope they have had something reassuring to tell you x

@sodababy2 huge hand hold for the rest of this week, so want it to be another bfp for you x could also test Sat with you & @sqidgebum but DH b'day Sunday so might hold off (but I won't).

Have a batch of 15p IC's that should feed the addiction til i can justify a FRER. On the CB trial too so might get a freebie digital next week (rather have the BFP to be honest) :/

sodababy2 · 12/03/2018 15:32

Thanks a lot @PassTheAfterEights You're brave waiting for your DHs birthday! That would make me test earlier for fear of ruining it but that's probably my negative thinking.

I keep prodding my boobs and now they hurt lol Grin

hayleyfx · 12/03/2018 15:57

Hi ladies, can I join?
I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks in December 2017. This is now my third month TTC since it happened and I’m so desperate for March to be my month! Fingers crossed it’s third time lucky 🤞🏼 I’m 1dpo, AF due on 25th of March! I hope there are lots of BFP’s this month! Baby dust to you all! Smile

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/03/2018 16:33

@xLauraa. They got back to me and it looks like I do have PCOS. They are going to wait for the ovulation results to come back before I make another appointment. I know the wait to be referred here for fertility stuff is two years but is that only if there isn't an obvious problem? If I wasn't ovulating, would I still have to wait two years (one year now as it's already been one) ?

xLauraa · 12/03/2018 16:56

@Owlpatrol no you can't just request bloods you'd have to see your GP 😊

@LookingAtTheStars89 ah really! Yeah I'd like to think they'd see you especially as you've got proof of having something effecting your fertility! So you can see a GP as soon as the bloods are back? Sorry you've got that news 💞 but it is a relief knowing rather than being in the dark about it!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/03/2018 17:00

@xLauraa. Yeah, it is better to know. I'm going to have to find some major will power to lose weight now! I have to wait until Friday to book an appointment x

xLauraa · 12/03/2018 17:11

@LookingAtTheStars89 me too! I'm trying so hard!
I've just downloaded some books on my Kindle that speak about PCOS, recipes, foods to promote in your diet etc.... I've had a little read through one and I already feel mega positive! My BMI is 28.9 but I've got to lose 20kg until I'm even at the top of the healthy range but I'm in a size 10-12 it's ridiculous!! I don't have much hope of getting referred to gynae! Xx

flyingplum · 12/03/2018 17:34

Booo @LookingAtTheStars89 - welcome to the club :( Good luck with the weight - i've been quite lucky with mine, in that while I do put it on relatively easily if i don't watch myself, I find it ok to keep to a 'healthy' weight with just a normal diet. However, that also means that doctors tend to just shrug their shoulders with me in terms of treatment...sigh.

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/03/2018 19:02

@flyingplum. @xLauraa. There's no way I will ever get my BMI down to 24, no way. I can manage 30 at best!

Before I had DD3 two years ago I was 11st 11lbs but I get stuck there, now I know why! I didn't even attempt to lose weight that time - I had DD (age 5) I was 15st 9 when I fell pregnant and then my weight literally fell off but once DD3 was born WHAM "Hello extra 3 stone" Sad

Even my Mum has said to me she doesn't understand why I'm not slimmer (Hmm gee thanks lol) my thyroid is at optimum level and everything, I like the odd sweet thing but I just drink water, I don't have much dairy and I don't like snack.

xLauraa · 12/03/2018 19:15

@flyingplum keep going on at them! And try different GPs!!!

@LookingAtTheStars89 unfortunately that's PCOS for you. Something to do with possibly being insulin resistant and how your body stores glucose and not using it bla bla.... unfortunately it's always gonna be harder for us to lose weight, it's a fact!😣 but we can do it 💞 stay positive!!! Xx

Pumpkinbee · 12/03/2018 21:06

Jumping on. 4DPO and going slowly nuts symptom spotting despite the fact it know it's not possible at 4DPO.

Woody096 · 12/03/2018 21:14

@flyingplum, I am the same. My BMI is 20 so my doctor didn’t really believe I had PCOS until the results confirmed it. Before I conceived Dd, I cut out dairy and wheat, within 2 months had a bfp. Have cut it out again (this is my third week) cheated on mother’s day and had a bit of cake, bloody hell I have paid the price and had the most awful stomach cramps since. I am only cd 8 and DH is going to away when I am likely to ovulate. Not much hope for this month. On the upside my skin has cleared up massively since cutting the dairy and wheat! Every cloud and all...

xLauraa · 12/03/2018 21:50

@Woody096 that's really interesting! I've just spent today reading about foods related to PCOS and I'm gonna have a few weeks of the "dos and donts" to see if I see/feel a change! I can't cut out dairy 😂 but gonna stick to low GI carbs and cut out high GI for now

LookingAtTheStars89 · 12/03/2018 21:52

@Woody096. Good God! I'm like a hippo compared to you!! Shock

@xLauraa. I could do with My DH getting on board, that would make it easier for me! I need a pusher!

flyingplum · 12/03/2018 22:19

@Woody096 - interesting...is that an insulin link? I've not had dairy for almost 10 years, but I do love wheaty things. I might cry if i wasn't allowed toast. I guess I could try it for a few months though sob heh heh

Woody096 · 12/03/2018 22:31

@flyingplum. I am not sure. My accunpuncturist said my body (well she inspected my tongue) and said I was showing signs of inflammation and suggested to cut those two items out to see if it made a difference.
