I just ordered preseed too @FingersXssd83. Hopefully it will help things along. It has great reviews on Amazon.

Countrygirl94 · 18/02/2018 09:54

@sqidgebum been tourturing myself for having too much wine last night and reading your message is just what I needed to hear this morning. You are so right. I remember my MIL telling me they struggled to conceive SIL so one night they went out drank every white spirit (they were told that helps haha) behind the bar and 5 weeks she was pregnant.

SqidgeBum · 18/02/2018 10:12

Ye Countrygirl94 its the one TTC tip most sites leave out haha. Its all about being relaxed I suppose, and planning TTC and DTD on a schedule is not relaxed. I really felt the pressure this month. We are going to really try to take the planning down a notch this month. Its not good for me. I am an emotional wreck. Thats not relaxed.

DreamyCat · 18/02/2018 10:32

@SqidgeBum @Countrygirl94 @Cammy30 Thank you all for the honesty and solidarity! I'm feeling better about being hungover now thanks to you ladies. I've also been driving myself crazy with POAS & every supplement I can think of!

Got another flashing smiley today. So that's something!

DreamyCat · 18/02/2018 10:34

@FingersXssd83 Yes, let's all cut ourselves some slack and enjoy our pizza/wine/whatever while we go through this process.

Countrygirl94 · 18/02/2018 10:52

@sqidgebum @dreamycay it becomes all consuming. Fingers crossed we get our bfp this cycle! Grin

EverythingNow · 18/02/2018 11:46

Wow congratulations @Knitkitty! Fab news!

I too have a drink, sometimes it’s needed Smile especially when AF shows her face.

I think I have a nearly there opk this morning - cd 11, so maybe later today or tomorrow I’ll get a positive!

KnitKitty · 18/02/2018 11:54

Thank you all. I still can't believe it. I've taken a Clear Blue digital now too and it says 2-3 weeks pregnant; so now I'm worrying about the bit of bleeding I've had this week, but I know it's probably fine. It could even be my cervix bleeding as it does that occasionally.

Just in complete and utter shock. Confused

flyingplum · 18/02/2018 12:38

@countrygirl94 - i'm so glad to hear other people have these freakouts about the 'perfect' lifestyle. we've only on our second cycle of trying, and i keep forgetting about alcohol...had three beers at a reception at work last week and then remembered I wasn't supposed to be drinking. bah. I've been good about coffee, but then I had a worry about tea. Argh!

flyingplum · 18/02/2018 12:38

Also, congratulations @KnitKitty! :)

DreamyCat · 18/02/2018 13:58

@flyingplum Yesterday I read that caffeine has no effect on fertility so I'm carrying on with the coffee and reminding myself that it contains antioxidants (whatever they are!). X

DreamyCat · 18/02/2018 14:00

I wish I wasn't so hungover as DTD feels like to much effort but as it's a high fertility day I should try & seduce OH.

DreamyCat · 18/02/2018 14:01

@KnitKitty Hopefully it's just implantation bleeding - has it stopped now?

flyingplum · 18/02/2018 14:12

@DreamyCat - yeah, I've read conflicting advice, but I figured I was going to have to cut back if I ever manage to get upduffed, so thought i would try and kick the habit now (particularly given how flipping strong I like my coffee!!!). I've actually found that I'm sleeping much better, so perhaps it's a good thing, though the first week I kicked it, I was asleep by 9.30 every night!!!

DreamyCat · 18/02/2018 14:24

@flyingplum I like mine strong too! One of my coffees is in reality about 4 "normal" coffees.... hmm maybe I should try and cut back, I do have trouble sleeping.

Cammy30 · 18/02/2018 14:41

@SqidgeBum @FingersXssd83 I got conceive plus last week and it has definitely helped DTD and DH has even got more excited than normal which is making the BD'ing this cycle non-robotic! Hopefully you both find the same! My FW started yest and due to O this Friday so I'll keep you posted if it has clung to the swimmers like if claims lol! Xo

Ginge12 · 18/02/2018 14:49

Hi Everyone 👋
AF arrived today so I'll hop on;
TTC #1
Cycle 3
Age: 27
CD1

Fingers crossed we all get those BFP's this month!

MissDollyMix · 18/02/2018 15:10

Afternoon everyone. Thought I’d take a break from building an ikea wardrobe shoot me now to come and have a catch up with everyone. Congratulations @KnitKitty wonderful news!
As to leading the perfect lifestyle. That doesn’t happen here. Admittedly I haven’t had my BFP yet but that’s probably more to do with being an old codger than the amount of wine I drink. Admittedly I’ve asked DH if he could try and reduce coffee and alcohol consumption and, bless him, he is trying but he has a stressful job and works long hours and sometimes you just need a let out. I’m trying to drink less and lead a generally healthy lifestyle as I’m trying to keep the weight off but conversely if I go to gung-ho on this my periods stop all together so i guess it’s all about balance. Certainly, I’ll have the odd drink until I see those two lines on that stick. Along those same lines though, I think were entering FW but I have a stinking sinus infection and I’ve had to resort to taking Sudafed, which I’m sure I’ve read is contradictory to TTC. Anyone heard this? Am I just making it up? Feel a bit silly really. At one end I’m downing the grapefruit juice to increase mucus and at the other end I’m taking sudafed to dry everything up. Blurgh! Trying to power through on paracetamol this afternoon but feel like I’m in a fish tank!

stegosauruslady · 18/02/2018 15:34

As I'm TTC number four, I have had my share of the TTC crazies in the past (I had a couple of mcs, which turned me into a mad woman).

I'm fully embracing the relaxed TTC this time. I'll have the odd few drinks, some caffeine and I'm not beating myself up for the occasional unhealthy eating. I like to channel my obsessive tendencies into my running these days!

Also, congratulations knitkitty!

Owlpatrol · 18/02/2018 16:03

Congrats knit!!

Feeling bleh today I'm cramping about 6dpo so probably out. In fact certain I'm out so watching girlie films crying at every other moment!!

Hengine · 18/02/2018 16:16

Hello,
First bus for me, although cycle 3 of TTC.
Got accepted for the clear blue trial thing so I’ve got an excuse to pee on sticks now rather than trying to be relaxed then kicking myself when it doesn’t work...

Pyxie · 18/02/2018 16:20

Hi all, thought I'd join you now that I've stopped breastfeeding and AF has finally arrived!
Age: 31
TTC #2
CD3 (cycles are usually around 35 days)

peaches1991 · 18/02/2018 17:51

@hengine how long did it take them to get back to you about the clear blue trial?

Woody096 · 18/02/2018 18:00

Congratulation @knitkitty, lovely news.

Healthy lifestyle? Kinda! When I conceived dd, we had been on month long tour in Australia & New Zealand & I conceived despised being sozzled most days. Fairly sure it was the relaxing aspect of it.

@owlpatrol, don’t lose faith just yet xx

They emailed the consent forms the day after I applied,
then when I sent the forms back they phoned the same day. I missed the call and they phoned again 5 days later.
So all quite quick but I had to wait to get my period bonfire they sent me the pack.
Have they sent you the consent forms?
