March bus - bfp’s welcome.

AF arrived today so I am now hoping for a March bfp.
This is cycle 6, ttc #2. Aged 32.

Never started a thread before, so hopefully you will join & we can symptom spot together!

@LookingAtTheStars89. I know it must be disappointing but if it is PCOS then at least you have a definite answer and can work with the GP who can support you in your ttc journey.

What did your dr say would be the next steps? My symptoms were acne, irregular cycles and excess hair. Since my last pregnancy my symptoms have diminished but I suspect I don’t ovulate every month.

@Woody096. He said it'll depend what the ultrasound and progesterone test comes back like. If it looks like I'm not ovulating then it'll probably be down the clomid route.

Boooo I've got some cramps today about 6dpo looking back i usually get them around 9dpo so keeping everything crossed it's implantation

@owlpatrol hopefully implantation pains? Fx!
Still no smiley face, but I had accunpuncture this morning to promote ovulation, i felt it more on the right pelvis so hopefully a sign all is well and I will ovulate soon x

I got another flashing smiley today (day 11 of cycle) and I'm confused as I don't normally get a positive OPK on the ICs until about day 19! Could I have been timing DTD totally wrong?

@dreamycat, the flashing smiley detects your rising hormone levels and then a solid will confirm ovulation. Normally a flashing will appear a few days before O, so maybe you will ovulate a little earlier this month?x

This TTC lark gets bloody complicated fast, varying opk results and all!

CD3 here. DP and I have quite a lot of child free time round about when I'll be fertile so that should be fun!

Other conceive plus users - do you feel it leaves a weird residue when it dries? Almost a bit chalky! Gosh, TTC is sooo romantic

Just turned on my new thermometer and the battery is dead.... Not going well so far!

@Tefiti2. Yes! I stopped using it because of the weird feeling an now use Fertile Check fertility gel.

So following the electro-acupuncture yesterday my clear blue opk went from an empty circle yesterday to a solid smiley today 👍 normally I get a few flashing days so maybe it was the acupuncture!

I ended up drinking a far bit of prosecco last night at a dinner party and am now feeling slightly hungover and worried that this counts as "binge drinking" when ttc. Urgh, I am rubbish at this - really struggle with the ttc perfect lifestyle!!

Erm... I may have to jump back off the March bus...

I thought I'd started my period on Tuesday but it turns out it must have been implantation bleeding or something. I took two First Response tests this morning as I haven't really bled much and a strong second line came up immediately on both.

I don't feel pregnant though, so I just can't quite believe it. I'm going to buy a Clear Blue digital later today.

I think I'm in shock. I really wasn't expecting a BFP.

DreamyCat that 'petfect' TTC lifestyle just isnt attainable. It is a recipe for madness. You are human, you are allowed a bit of relaxing down time with a glass (or 5 :-/) of prosecco. I always think of the amount of women who have said to me 'I was bladdered the night we got pregnant'. Its not ideal but its certainly not a hindrance from what I have heard. Dont feel guilty. We have enough pressure on us as it is.

KnitKitty that is amazing news! Congratulations! I am sure it will take time to sink in but its fantastic.

@SqidgeBum Thank you so much for saying this and pulling me out of a shame spiral! I do really want a baby but sometimes all the pressure gets to me. X

@DreamyCat I spent all last month not touching a drink. When my AF came I had wine that very night, thinking "well screw this". My friend is a gynaecologist and says alcohol can help women relax and that's why you can conceive, as you need a relaxed woman! So my hungover headache this morning has fully taken this advice on board! I think until I've been trying over a head I'll maybe then get DH and me to cut it down! Xo

Of course it does DreamyCat. I find the pressure to be perfect and selfless and always think about 'I could be pregnant so I cant do X, Y and Z' is a bit much, and then when AF comes you automatically blame yourself saying 'I need to do more and be better'. Its rubbish. I have had 7 months now of beating myself up over every drink or pizza/ I have timed our DTD to the hour. Its done no good. I have been popping every type of vitamin pill and reading every tip. Its done no good other than to make me go a bit mad. Actually, why lie, very mad. Looking at the women around me who get pregnant being over a healthy weight, not on vitamins, not counting days and not crying for a week each month, I am starting to think its more luck than me, and I cant control luck. I am going to try and give myself some slack. I think we all need to give ourselves some slack.

I got my AF last week and polished off a bottle of wine at a friend's party last night. Haven't drank that much for a while as TTC, can't say it helped tbh.

Just ordered preseed off Amazon. Has anyone had a past BFP using it?

Decided against temping as I've had my 21 day test, which came back with no issues. DH has his sperm test in a few weeks so keen to see his results 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Totally agree that we all need to cut ourselves some slack @SqidgeBum I've been going a bit mad TTC too 🙈
