Hi Ladies, thought I would just grab the bull by the proverbial horns and get this going. Hope the name is okay. MrsMc I am afraid we will all be thinking of you and your DH (and his light saber) everytime we post

Too many individual posts to go back and answer so I thought I'd start with a positive message for all of us from the March thread and for any MC newbies...

Today is my 1 month MN anniversary and I do not know what I would have done without you all. It is the ability to get on here and "let it all out" that keeps me going. I have been blessed to have found you all and whatever lies in my future - your kindness and advice will stay with me forever.

Big Love and Hip hip hooray for a fabulous new positive thread POPSY xxxx

p.s. Gilly get your arse down to london - we can drink the bars dry of Rose (purely medicinal of course )

Blimey EllieG those pregnancy vibes were strong. I got a BFP at 5am this morning!!!!

harveysaunt · 10/06/2007 13:40

Oh WOW Winkygirl. Another BFP!! I am so happy for you hun. xx

alittlebitshy · 10/06/2007 16:16

wow winky!!! congrats!!!
ellieg - i started a july thread (so proud of myself lol).

However, i'm only sort of in it cos af didn't start. I'm trying not to be too delusional... it prob will come late, but as i said on fri, i had a bit of spotitng (mainly when wiping) and the same again today. Pink.

what could it mean? I keep telling myself it could be what so many people talk about on here and a perfectly normal thing in early pregnancy, then i start worrying that i am pg and in the throes of miscarrying (i guess more a chemical pregnancy though cos i'd only be 4.5 weeks if i was), then i start mentally shouting at myself that it's prob just my body not sure what to do after the m/c (although I have had a fully normal af since).

ARGH!!!!

Decided I am NOT going to test tomorrow as planned. I'm going to hold out a bit cos the disappointment of a bfn and no af to follow soon would be yuk, but also the fear of a bfp followed by proper bleeding petrifies me. if i don't know, it can't hurt me (yeah yeah). And remember i did a test on fri that was prob a bfn but there was a faint line but i'm not sure if it was there from the start (it was a wee before i actually got up that i tested lol).

I am so not convinced by myself... but each day i hold off testing is good, and if i am pg and if it sticks, i have a whole 8 months to be pg in so surely a few days won't make a difference.

If i'm not I sure as hell hope af comes NOW!!!!

popsy76 · 10/06/2007 19:37

Hi Ladies, well still no sign of AF but sickness is a bit less - maybe I have same phantom PG symptoms as you all? Is defo weird and not like last time. I have had cramps midway thru cycle both times too and only since ERPC - is foul what the MC does to our bodies isn't it? I wonder if the hormones are just still up and down. Anyway - had a six week cycle lasy time (first after MC) and i am starting to feel that pre-AF depression so you never know. Have been trying not to think about it cos thought was PG last month (due to cramping not MS) and if same cycle length as last I will be due on at end of this week.
Sounds like lots of us are in the same boat?
Congrats winky we should be keeping a tally of the converted from our thread so it keeps us going! Hope you have had a fab weekend basking in your expecting-ness
Torres Hols sound LUSH - get yourself some flip flops and a sarong - that's all you need (will get all scuzzy and everyone will think you are a year off youngster )
littlebit hope this month was a BFP for you!!!!!! Huge PG-stylee vibes are well over due for you hon xxx
kensgirl Hi hon - haven't heard from your for ages - how are ya (sounds like we are phantom buddies)?
nh how are you - we are usually in the same boat so are you phantoming/PG or AFing now (so as I know where I am heading next ?)
Been trying on bridesmaids dresses yesterday - friend obsessed with getting thin ughhh I just am so out of that frame of mind these days felt so sane ha ha
Is our first wedding anniversary today - gonna slip on my new vicotias secret hot pink and ornage undies and show the hubster a good time yee haaaaaa

Conrgrats Winky girl!

Happy Anniversary Popsy! and Mr popsy! I am admiring your willpower, though, are you going to test? I do so hope it is good news for you! Ithink I am your phantom twin, at the moment, my body is still a bit upi and down, currently in a spotty phase [attrative or what, no wonder I,m not pg....). I have been around but I have lurked on this thread more than posted, and have been mostly on the ttc your 1st thread plus a abit in the hut... I'm determined to put 100% effort and positive thinking into this month, as it is cd 3 here. As I have short cycle I expect my fertile days to begin around day 7 onwards think I ov about cd 10. Glad to hear its not only me with the crazy symptoms as I had convinced myself I ahd a hormonal imbalance, endometriosis, and PCOS all at once, esp with a 23 ish day cycle. Here's to a lucky month x

EllieG · 11/06/2007 10:26

Hurray winkygirl!

basilbrush · 11/06/2007 12:02

winky great news!

patkica · 11/06/2007 12:21

Hi all, I am back after a few weeks to say hi and especially CONGRATULATIONS to Basil, Winky, the mystery person and hopefully Popsy. I thought I needed to stop thinking so much about ttc so I went away for a while and it has been good for me, but I have dropped in to see how you all are from time to time.

I also wanted to say that in my first post MC cycle, I had all the symptoms everyone else has mentioned recently, especially sore boobs, metal mouth (never had that before), tiredness and cramps. I always had some of this just before AF, but this all happened about 10 days before and it was awful. This month I used digital OPKs and it was just as well because I never would known I was ovulating otherwise when normally it's easy to tell from cm. I agree with everyone that cycles post-MC are a big mess and there's no making sense of them. THis month has been a little better, but it wil be a longer cycle again. I used to be 29/30 days, but now it's crept up to 34/35.

Hope you are all well. P xx

patkica · 11/06/2007 12:32

Forgot to say that I had a 'natural' mc at 5 weeks so it wasn't the D&C that did it o me.

nh101 · 11/06/2007 14:35

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.

I've had a bit of a break from MN after getting AF last Wed cos I realised I was becoming totally neurotic and coming on MN was making me really stressed out about TTC. I feel so much better now cos my period was a lot heavier than the first one I had after my MC, it felt like a proper period rather than just a bleed, so I think my body is ready to TTC now whereas maybe last month was just too soon.

I have my fingers crossed for you though Popsy. If you feel like I did I am sure you feel desperate for AF to stay away, but if it doesn't I am sure you won't feel as bad as you fear you will (I was terrified but after it came I was kind of relieved)

I am going on holiday on July 15 so may not TTC so much (?) this month cos I am a bit wary of driving to France and camping with morning sickness etc. and wouldn't mind getting pissed on my hols too! Not using any contraceptive though so will just wait and see what happens.

So might not be PG again till August (unless when I get to June 27 which is my next fertile time I feel totally obssessed with getting PG again).

Good luck to everyone else (I have my fingers crossed for you MrsMc) and I'll check back in soon!

nh101 · 11/06/2007 14:37

Forgot to say congrats Winky!!!

EllieG · 11/06/2007 14:44

Glad you're feeling OK nh - I am justing taking things as they come. Feel like am through the maddest stage and just chilling about it all now, which is a nice place to be. Not sure how long that will last though...

torres · 11/06/2007 17:59

Afternoon all,

thank you so much for sharing your post mc symptoms. I really had got myself in such a state last week, I was convinced the surgery had damaged me somehow. It's reassuring to hear the symptoms are the same for those who didn't have an ERPC, really sounds like our hormones were thrown up in the air and are taking a while to get back on track.

winky- congrats hon! and at 5am too- how did you get back to sleep!! keep us posted with your progress.

alittlebit fingers crossed, maybe you'll tempt a BFP out by starting the July thread! I am still laughing at your comment 'it was a wee before i actually got up that i tested'!! I'm not sure how that works, do you sleep on a commode? do you have a gentleman's friend ?

popsy hope you had a great anniversary! have my fingers crossed for you hon. Not sure I could pass for a year off- youngster but maybe with a fringe to cover my wrinkles and dark glasses I may pull it off ( and seeing as other year off youngsters will be drunk!). Good idea about setting up a tally of our graduates to keep us motivated.

kensgirl- you are so similar to me, its spooky! I was thinking the same things too- I spent all last week looking up endometriosis and PCOS on the net! So glad you are feeling positive for this month, wishing you lots of luck.

patkica glad the break helped you but also glad you popped in to let us know you are ok. Thanks for sharing your symptoms too.

nh Glad your AF seems back to normal. Maybe not bothering ttc and having a super holiday lined up means that a BFP will creep up on you unexpectedly!

ellie so glad you are chilled right now.

lissie I read on another thread that your HSG went well- so pleased for you xx

alittlebitshy · 11/06/2007 18:03

lol i meant a wee before i was actually planning to get up and stay up ie, i went back to bed. lol lol.

still no idea what's up with me and my body and too scared to test again.

torres · 11/06/2007 18:06

alittlebit- so glad you cleared that up, was thinking of all sorts of permutations!!
Sorry you're still in limbo, I'd be too scared to test too. when is AF due?

lissie · 11/06/2007 18:07

hi all! thanks torres, feel like i can relax a bit now.

congrats winky!!!!

torres · 11/06/2007 18:10

lissie- you can relax mentally but physically its full steam ahead i guess !! . It's fab news, such a shame you've had to wait so long for it.

alittlebitshy · 11/06/2007 18:11

af was probably due last thursday.

post m/c i had a 25 day cycle then light bleeding - a bit more than spotting though. then I had 21 days then a full on proper period. then i was due last week, and have just had 2 days where i have a had a tiny bit of pink mucus/poss spotting ... it's 35 days now. I was around cd30 pre m/c. It was the equivalent of today that i got my bfp last time, but i am too scared in case it's a bfn but also scared in case it's a bfp then i have to worry about bleeding cos if i know i'm pg i will know it's a m/c. does that make sense?!

Think will test on thurs if no af - but i'm sure it will either be af sooon or it'll be a bfn and a messed up cycle.

I am symptom spotting though and that makes it worse!!

lissie · 11/06/2007 18:13

made sure my appt was before my fertile time tbh tho its good and bad news. on the one hand, everythings fine! on the other, we dont know whats causing our probs.

torres · 11/06/2007 18:14

oooh... that does sound promising, especially as you have had a normal AF/cycle since mc. I know exactly what you mean about testing. Thursday sounds a good compromise. Damn, I'm off on holiday on Thursday so I won't know for ages!!

torres · 11/06/2007 18:15

lissie- are you being investigated for your mcs? have you had any blood tests?

lissie · 11/06/2007 18:16

alittlebitshy, i understand, but you'll drive yourself mad if you dont find out for certain {{hug}} leave it a few more days honey x

alittlebitshy · 11/06/2007 18:17

but i had a bfn on fri. it's impossible. argh - i so can't be pg. and if i am will it stick?!

(although with dd i had a bfn on the fri then a bfp on the mon and i was 7 weeks by then!!!)

lissie · 11/06/2007 18:18

ive had all the blood tests now. and we have our follow-up appt on the 16th of july. at which point ill be prescribed clomid

lissie · 11/06/2007 18:21

can you go to the docs for a blood test?
