I’m due to test 17th, but think I’m going to try a FRER on 15th (which would only be 10DPO, I seem to have a short luteal phase... 😕) I have a few things planned for next weekend so it would be nice to know and I’ll have friends staying at mine in the morning of 17th! I’m kind of lucky as I always drive everywhere so my friends have stopped expecting me to drink, but it would be nice to have a few if I’m not pg.

Really trying not to gets my hopes up this month. Really really trying...

@Foreverretro I'm due 17th so if you get a BFP 15th I'll probably end up testing on the 16th 🙈 x

I'll be joining this bus. We're not actively trying till next year but we had an 'oops' moment last night and I'm at the beginning of my fertile window. It's a small chance but it could mean I'll be testing around Christmas day. What a present that would be.

First response tests are more sensitive than 10ml aren't they?

Does the literal phase effect when you can test? I ovulated day 14/15 and my cycles 32 days long. When's the earliest I could test? I'm 7 dpo today

If af hasn't shown up tomorrow then I'll be a day late & I'll try an FRER

@ImpatientMammy I did POAS and a BFN but not for a couple of days I've given up now, will wait till the weekend and then again maybe Wednesday next week if still no AF, google says a positive could take as long as 6 weeks to show for some women so I'm gonna take the no-show AF as a good sign and wait it out. If I come on I come on just trying to chill out now

So what is the most sensitive test? I've always used FRER but haven't had one since CD30 and it was a BFN, I'm now CD34, 3 days late!

af due boxing day

I'm really frustrated as ovulation is due at the end of next week and DH is away for the two days directly before it! Obviously will still try before and after but I feel like it's highly unlikely for this month now! And AF on boxing day will be disappointing, but at least I'm prepared for it. He's away again for a month early next year, but hoping it happens before then.

I've been using the natural cycles app for a year to get to know my cycle (while still using condoms) so that's why i'm pretty confident about when i'm ovulating next week. Hopefully getting to know my cycle will pay off eventually!

I swear internet cheapies used to be 5mlu. When I had DS I got a positive at 9DPO. Faint one, but still there! Now they all appear to be 10mlu.

I wonder if there’s a chart that tells you the relationship between DPO and test sensitivity. I’m guessing by the day you’re due on, the majority of tests would work.

Well heres a chart that shows average hcg levels by day after 14 dpo. So 25mlU might not detect if youre on the minimum 17mlU hcg on AF day 🤔 though most prob would i imagine

@HoneyCake86. I've only ever had faint positive at 14dpo. By the looks of that chart you may not get a positive until 17dpo!

So I just found out my former best friend got pregnant almost immediately with her new boyfriend and is now 30 weeks. I don't think I should feel as annoyed as I do.

@Aph413. I think it's normal to feel things like that when you are ttc. There's this real gobby mare in my dd's school playground, you know the type that's always hollaring at her kids, I've just noticed she's pregnant in the last few days and when I walked through the school gates this afternoon I clocked her puffing away on a cigarette! It took me all my time not to go over there and give her a piece of my mind!

Just whitnessed a woman in boots buy 2 separate FRER's instead of a box of 2! Could have saved £5.50 when you buy as many as me you need to know this

@peterpanwendy. Cost isn't always an issue for people. I wish I was one of those people!

Sorry to hear about the BFN @sophherts! I'm on CD31 today and no sign of AF! Getting loads of funny cramping not like normal...went out and brought tests! Tempted to do one tonight and then one tomorrow if AF still a no show. Not sure if that's sensible though!
