Figured I'd start this up before we completely fill the other without a link.

Hi guys, i'm cd11 so just getting going with fw.
So if you cervix is low that means you're close to ovulation??

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/12/2017 09:24

@sophherts. Sorry it was a bfn for you. Don't give up yet! I'm either due today or Sunday, so I won't be testing until Sunday as I can't bear the bfns!

sophherts · 07/12/2017 09:39

@LookingAtTheStars89 I know, I think it's because I got my bfp last time (ended in mc) the day before af was due so I'm expecting that again if I am pg!

Fx for you!

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/12/2017 09:42

@sophherts. I have never had an early positive! I wish I was one of these women who can pee on a frer at 2dpo and get a bfp lol. Just remembes that sometimes implantation can take a little longer x

RDW1989 · 07/12/2017 09:50

Hi! First post Blush

First month TTC, CD6. We have been waiting a while to start trying, so so excited now!

According to the Glow app I'll ovulate on 15th December, but planning to DTBD every/every other day throughout this first cycle just incase Wink

Funkyemzie · 07/12/2017 09:51

@HoneyCake86 thanks for that...thats a great read!!! Sorry, I didn't mean to sound shitty in that last message, I find it totally fascinating reading about what others experience!! Xxx

ImpatientMammy · 07/12/2017 09:53

Morning sorry about you BFN @sophherts. I'm annoyed with myself this morning as I caught myself symptom spotting at 5DPO 🙄 had to have a word with myself x

RDW1989 · 07/12/2017 10:00

P.S. How do you conceal the fact that you are TTC in December?

I don't normally drink often, but I have lots of events coming up this month (e.g. Christmas parties) as well as a family party on New Year's Eve, where it will look odd if I don't drink - people will automatically assume I'm pregnant. Argh.

I don't really want people know, as it creates additional pressure. Any ideas?

sophherts · 07/12/2017 10:07

@LookingAtTheStars89 I wish it was just more black & white! I hate the guesswork about it

Merrz · 07/12/2017 10:12

RDW1989 Hi, my sister-in-law went to a family party and pretended to drink, she took alcoholic drinks when she was offered and pretended to sip them then either passed them to her dh or left them lying on a table somewhere and on her own round or dh she either missed herself out or bought coke so it looked like she was actually drinking, no-one suspected. I think it was an expensive night for her dh though haha.

Merrz · 07/12/2017 10:16

You could also say you have something on the next day so you're driving because you can't have a hangover?! I think as soon as you make excuses for not drinking people get suspicious though, pretending to drink might draw less attention

ImpatientMammy · 07/12/2017 10:18

@RDW1989 say you went out the night before any can't even think about more 🤢 x

RDW1989 · 07/12/2017 10:33

Good idea. I've also seen some alcohol free wine/prosecco/cider around. No-one else drinks prosecco so maybe I can sneak it into the fridge Wink

My family are pretty tactful, but my husband's have been asking about babies non-stop since our wedding in June. They will definitely say something if I don't drink!

Af is due 30th Dec so hopefully I either have the all clear to drink, or some good news...

dingdongdigeridoo · 07/12/2017 11:09

Or just have a couple on your TWW? I don’t mean binge drink, but if you are pregnant it’s too early to harm the baby. I’d go mad if I couldn’t have a couple of glasses for the last few months!

sophherts · 07/12/2017 11:21

I have a question about ICs. So it says on the pack that they're sensitive to 10mlU which is much more sensitive than the FRERs which are 25mlU but everyone says the ICs are rubbish. I don't get it! Which is more reliable?

HoneyCake86 · 07/12/2017 11:25

Thats ok hun you didnt sound shitty Xmas Smile nah merrz its said that its supposed to go higher but mine goes the opposite, goes very low. I think its better to just check your cervix throughout the cycle and get to know what it does, cos all women are different xx

ImpatientMammy · 07/12/2017 11:25

@soph You might be more likely to get a false positive it they're that sensitive I tested my first pregnancy with a pound shop one though I was still pregnant the cost of my test obviously has no impact your either pregnant or your not I suppose x

Merrz · 07/12/2017 11:43

Ahh ok thanks Honey I'll add cervix checking to my list of things to obsess about Wink

LookingAtTheStars89 · 07/12/2017 12:28

Argh feeling antsy today! Everytime I go to the loo I'm like "Please don't let there be blood"

ImpatientMammy · 07/12/2017 12:32

🤞

Gem173 · 07/12/2017 12:37

Got what I think is another pos opk again today, never had multiple posivites, guess I usually catch the end of my surge and this time I’ve caught the beginning.

sophherts · 07/12/2017 12:46

@LookingAtTheStars89 omg same!!

louella99 · 07/12/2017 12:53

Interesting about the cervix moving. Maybe I'll have to try and locate mine. I just don't think I'd be able to find it haha!

I'm on cd 15 today, still getting negative opks but hoping to get a positive in the next couple of days. Hope I'm not the last one left on this bus! Not due to test til 23rd Dec

Although I do hope there are some BFPs before then x

Gem173 · 07/12/2017 12:57

@louella99 I’m due to test 19th according to ovia however I haven’t ovulated yet will prob do tomorrow so testing could be pushed back to 21st

Merrz · 07/12/2017 13:03

Loella99 Im also planning to test on 23rd, af due boxing day but think i'll test 23rd because i have works xmas party so i will then decide if i'm going to get hammered, drown my sorrows and make a fool of myself or find an excuse to not drink!
