Have been slowly coming off antidepressants and stopped taking the pill (using condoms) to get body back to normal ready to try for no.2 in June, also started taking pregnacare. I know its early to start posting but got my first proper period today so just been on site to check fertile dates for months again and think we're going to go for it in June - ooooooooooooo, very excited. Just wondered if there was anyone else out there planning way ahead cos i wouldn't talk to anyone in RL life about it so far ahead, other than dh!

plummymummy · 31/05/2007 15:57

Hello - it's not flying believe me! Time is dragging. Having a scan on Monday. Too early for heartbeat probably (6 weeks, 2 days).

tigerschick · 31/05/2007 16:05

Afternoon Ladies

Thanks for your thoughts earlier. You really are a lovely lot

Well scan all done. Ended up having to have an internal scan - grrr - but lady was very nice and it's no where near as bad as a smear test (or child birth lol). Results won't be ready for quite a while tho I've got a gp apointment on 12th so hopefully they'll be back by then. She did, however say that she could see lots of small folicles which is a sign of PCOS but need the blood results as well to confirm that.

Scorpio - good luck for tomorrow...it ain't over til you get a bfp or af pitches up.

Egg - sorry about your tummy, I'm sure it's nothing bad tho.

Plummy - It's only a very few days until Monday.

Thelittlesoldiersmummy - hope you are well and happy, where are you in your cycle? Can't keep up with everyone, sorry.

Anyone else -

Egg · 31/05/2007 16:53

Scorpio this is PG no 2. I am sure I had pains last time but seem to have more this time. I am worrying as DS has been to park twice today and lifting him on and off swings etc hurts! I know everyone who has a second child has to still lift their first (unless they are much older) but it makes me worry...

tigerschick, glad scan is over. I had one of those and was diagnosed as having polycystic ovaries, but not as having PCOS (not severe enough or something). That was back when I was TTC DS.

Supposed to be cooking supper for DS now, so had better go.

tigerschick · 31/05/2007 16:59

Hi Egg. Sorry if you've already said, but did you take Clomid? I wondered about this as I know it's often used to 'treat' PCOS but don't know about polycyctic ovaries without the 'syndrome' bit. I just hope that, whatever the tests and ultrasound show, there is something I can do as I don't want to have to wait another 3 years for dc2. And I hope they don't insist on testing dh coz that will be that. He won't be tested - which I respect.

Egg · 31/05/2007 17:39

No I had no intervention as such, apart from some blood tests to check I was ovulating, which I was, and also to check my hormone levels. Then I had this pelvic ultrasound which detected polycystic ovaries. We were booked in for DH to have some tests done and to look into it further in July 2005, but I found out I was pregnant in June 2005. Pheweee. DH was not overly keen on having tests either.

tigerschick · 31/05/2007 18:14

We had no intervention with dd. We always had a 'what will be will be' attitude. But now I really don't want dd to be an only child. Dh would like to have another but he is adamant that he doesn't want any tests. TBH I think my gp reckons I've got PCO or PCOS as neither he nor I mentioned it when I went to see him but it was on the notes that the ultrasound lady had today. He also said that, as we have dd, it is very likely that any 'problem' would be related to my exceedingly irregular cycles. Well now I'm in my own odd little 2ww ... so I get to see how it feels for those of you with regular cycles

scorpio1 · 31/05/2007 18:17

Tiger - hope you are ok after hearing that today. i'm sure your dd won't be an only

tigerschick · 31/05/2007 18:28

Scorpio - gotta go, bath running

plummymummy · 31/05/2007 20:30

Tiger - hope everything works out ok and that the scan yields helpful news.

manamana · 31/05/2007 21:23

hi all. lots to catch up on while i've been away, finally feeling back to normal after the labyrinthits - managed to scare myself by reading lots of stuff on the web abpout people who have it long etrm
Now just waiting until next friday to test or af to arrive, will be cd29 and am pretty regular (going to a 40th birthday long weekend so need to check before embarking on the booze!)
Sounds like some of you are going through some tough stuff so {{hugs}} - will go back and read up properly to catch up.

Manamana - quite a few friends have had labyrynthitis really badly and have been affected for months so very glad yours is better now and you can concentrate on babies...

tigerschick · 01/06/2007 08:19

Am ok this morning, less pain last night too. Off to see GP at 10am.

tigerschick · 01/06/2007 08:27

plummymummy · 01/06/2007 09:32

Oh sorry Lissie, but as everyone says - it aint over til the painted lady visits!

lissie · 01/06/2007 09:34

i suppose, was so hopeful too!

i think this is the first time i've been wrong!

plummymummy · 01/06/2007 09:35

I think I have had pregnancies before where I have only got bfp after af late.

plummymummy · 01/06/2007 09:36

Do you feel pre-menstrual?
