Have been slowly coming off antidepressants and stopped taking the pill (using condoms) to get body back to normal ready to try for no.2 in June, also started taking pregnacare. I know its early to start posting but got my first proper period today so just been on site to check fertile dates for months again and think we're going to go for it in June - ooooooooooooo, very excited. Just wondered if there was anyone else out there planning way ahead cos i wouldn't talk to anyone in RL life about it so far ahead, other than dh!

pmsl spugs, you're full of great ideas today!

tigers, am v impressed with multi-tasking!

tigerschick · 02/06/2007 15:32

Mean I agree about the wine - but also about the periods/shagging thing.

meto · 02/06/2007 15:33

honestly, it was invasive (I thought anyhow) deffo take 2 painkillers before you go in. it doesn't hurt as such, like a smear if you like, but you can feel the cold liquid going in. it's odd to see your insides outside if that makes sence? wil have a look to see if I can see an old thread of mine. it's quickly forgotten about, be prepared to be sore for the day thou. and don't forget to take your own towels as hospital pads are awful.

spugs · 02/06/2007 15:35

Wine is the way forward, plus my theory is the more I drink the more likely I will be to 'catch' therefore feeling very bad for the next 8 months. Will let you know the results of this 'theory' in a couple of weeks time

tigerschick · 02/06/2007 15:38

Interesting theory... wasn't there a line in, I think it was Friends, where someone suggests that they try getting drunk to improve chances of getting pg because it helped for "a bunch of girls in high school"

Oh god - not that I expect you to care but it's now 48-22 to South Africa

lissie · 02/06/2007 15:38

thanks meto, some of the ladies on the ttc after an ep thread have had them quite recently and they've said pretty much the same thing. just really worried that my remaining tube is a bit cr*p

lissie · 02/06/2007 15:40

lol, just look at the soaps for proof. you either get trolleyed and have sex with an ex or someone other than your dp. preferably someone of a different race. or you hate. or is going to jail for gbh... the list goes on!

scorpio1 · 02/06/2007 15:41

the alcohol thing worked for me at 16 !

i wanna go out for dinner tonight; but better not. might make sausage casserole and get pissed instead on a nice bottle of red.

tiger - of ourse you can multi task, you are a woman!!

meto · 02/06/2007 15:41

honney when I went for mine I had the same fears, when I was 11 I had one tube and ovary removed as apparently 'it had never grown properly' - bollox if you ask me but that's neither hear nor there now. main thing is to remember that hopefully it will give you a 'flush out' if you pardon the term, and everything will be fine. just relax as best you can take deep breaths and think or something else. mine gave me the results straihgt away.

scorpio1 · 02/06/2007 15:42

lissie - or you get pg and dont want it

spugs · 02/06/2007 15:43

there you go, forget temping or those stick thingys and buy a bottle of cheap cider, sounds a lot less stress ful In my case it has been when I havent wanted to get pregnant that I have - straight away and when I want to it took ages (ok so 4 mths which isnt ages but felt like it).

scorpio1 · 02/06/2007 15:45

I'm in my 4th month now and it does feel like forever. think after Jasper is born (thats my babies name btw!) think we are going to BF and not use contraception....and see what happens! then no more after that.

first though, i have to get bloody pg! heapy ider it is! if im not pg (will wait till period comes) im going clubbing.

scorpio1 · 02/06/2007 15:46

might be my last time ever wearing hotpants.....

meto · 02/06/2007 15:46

also lisse feels like you need to do a blooming big poop

lissie · 02/06/2007 15:47

pmsl. when ds was concieved i'd been told that i couldnt have children (my womb was under-developed) so we were being interviewed by the local adoption agency

spugs · 02/06/2007 15:48

scorpio - heapy ider??

scorpio1 · 02/06/2007 15:49

i can never press my 'c' properly when i type fast soz

tigerschick · 02/06/2007 15:50

We were ttc dd for 3 years. We lived in 2 houses in that time. Neither had central heating or double glazing and 1 was 1/2 mile to nearest neighbours. Within 6 weeks of moving here (which has both c/h and d/g) I was pg. I think things happen when they are 'supposed' to - tho it's really frustrating waiting ... which is why I'm not sitting 'round waiting this time

tigerschick · 02/06/2007 15:51

Ah - I was going to ask that spugs. I think I like 'heapy ider' better tho!!

scorpio1 · 02/06/2007 15:53

i too, tiger, believe they 'know' when the right time to come is.

ds2 was discovered at 6 weeks, just after dp landed a good job and ds1 had started nursery for a day a week. this time, i think Jasper is waiting until i finish uni for the year for definite, which is next week.

scorpio1 · 02/06/2007 15:54

you would probably say it like that when you're drunk anyway, wouldn't you??

tigerschick · 02/06/2007 15:56

Nah - when you're drunk it's 'sheepy shiderrrr'

spugs · 02/06/2007 15:57

i find speaking near impossible when drunk . You never know then scorpio you might still get a bfp

scorpio1 · 02/06/2007 15:58

is it only me that knows what i wanna call my baby? i just know i will have another boy, too. dp likes Toby.

i don't think i will get a bfp this time round. i havent had a period since 20 april

tigerschick · 02/06/2007 15:59

When do you have to decide about next year, Scorpio? You'll get your bfp the morning after that...it's sod's law!
