Yum was in need of a new thread, and I thought the title was apt because it's not just TCOYF charts anymore... hope it's ok?? I don't want anyone to think I am taking over

Just needing something, anything, to take my mind OFF my impending doom

Yes you too have a great Christmas Ready and City.

Nothing happening here, apart from DH NOT reaching for the drawer (a week too early to mean anything ) and then declaring afterwards that he won't be making that mistake again as he felt depressed.

Well, his Christmas party is on friday (supposed day of Ov) so him being drunk is my only hope now.

Anyway, best wishes to you both and anyone who may be lurking.

cityangel · 18/12/2007 22:45

Good luck 3catstoo

Happy moving and Christmas Ready

I will try and pop in lots to send Christmas wishes.

3catstoo · 20/12/2007 17:54

City, has Greedy had her baby yet?
Am I being daft, have we already heard that news? She was due in November wasn't she? Or am I totally mad and got the dates wrong?

DH has his Xmas bash tonight. Lots of EWCM here, so hoping he gets drunk and carried away. Naughty of me I know but it's my only hope.

Have a fab Christmas.

cityangel · 20/12/2007 22:20

I know she has so I scrolled back and it was October!

10/10/07 4.29pm and she weighed 8lb 9 1/2oz!
Greedy called her Marcy

Good luck with dh... drink has the opposite effect on mine!

Happy Christmas to you and Ready

3catstoo · 21/12/2007 11:35

I must have missed that post.

Interesting that she had a girl. That's what we all thought after Oving 6 days after bding.

DH was a bit too sober last night. So we had a debate at 2am. The really frustrating part is that he lets it get sooooo far before pulling back and saying 'no condom, no sex'.

I can't think where to go from here.
I know I can't force him to have another baby but this feeling hasn't gone away for 3 years.

I still feel that although we tried for 15 months, we didn't (or rather DH didn't) do everything we could.

DH thinks that once DD goes to school next year that I will get a full time job and forget about having another baby.
I can just see it getting worse actually.

I think Ov was yesterday or today. I ran out of opks.

How are you feeling City.

I don't mind you talking about your pregnancy, I am thrilled for you. Please don't feel you have to limit your conversations/posts on here. To be honest it's nice to hear about other peoples good news and excitement, it lifts my mood .

Now I must get on with tidying the house ready for Christmas and the arrival of my parents.

Lots of Love

Hello Can I join please? - have two dcs (both conceived after charting ), ds 4 in Feb and dd nearly 2.5.

I am 35 now and trying for no3 but have a feeling it will not be so easy this time. My first cycle after my (copper) coil was removed was 35 days. Am now on day 29 of second cycle and am not sure what is going on this time either. I wasn't going to chart this time as dh hates it but have changed my mind...

Good luck to you all anyway

3catstoo · 22/12/2007 10:07

Hi Petitfilou, you are more than welcome to join us. There are very few of us still on here now.

Good luck to you too.

Hope it works for you again.

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/12/2007 11:35

hi 3cats!!!! how strange you thought of me just before i decided to come on here and look you up!!! sorry....i thought you knew i had popped! i was 10 days overdue in the end as well. my third was definatlet the most painful, was yours? mind you she was a lot bigger than my other two.

how is everything with you then? great news about city isn't it? you will be next........i really hope 2008 is the year for you! has dh come round to the idea a bit more now?

greedygreedyguzzler · 22/12/2007 11:37

sorry 3 cats .....just read your previous post and i can see dh is still a bit reluctant! why is he unsure about another one?

cityangel · 23/12/2007 16:34

Oh 3cats I hope it works out. PG is going ok now after the bleeding scare. Just hanging on for 12 week scan in Jan to see if ok...

Hey Petitfilou good luck with the charting. My dh hated it too. I think that was because it was a daily reminder to him that it wasn't working out for us. Still after 15 months we've got lucky... 9 weeks pg with fingers crossed.
Are you using the charting software or paper charts?

Hi Ready I hope your house move is going ok... let us know when you're in!

Ready · 31/12/2007 14:09

I'm in. Online. Woo.

How was everyone's Christmas? I had a lovely time, got well and truly spoilt rotten, and am looking forward to 2008 - it is going to be a bump-er year

How are you all?

Ready · 31/12/2007 14:11

Hey Petitfilou - Welcome to the thread. Have to say I haven't been charting for a few months, I needed a break from it. But may get back to it soon. How are you finding it?

3catstoo · 02/01/2008 12:49

Hello all.

Happy New Year.

Greedy, my third wasn't the most painful, they were all equal in pain stakes. She was quick though, 1 hr 24 mins. No wonder I had a prolapse!

Congrats to you though. How is it going with 3?

Ready, glad to have you back. Are you all settled now?

City, how long until your 12 week scan?

Petitfilou, how is the charting going?

Amazingly DH has had a handful of weak moments this cycle. Not sure if any of them were great timing. Fingers crossed that one was.

For the first time ever I have sore nipples. It's been for about a week now.
I am spottier than ever too. Not sure if it's all the build upto AF. It is due today I think.

Christmas was great, just wish it wouldn't be over so quickly.

xxxx

Ready · 02/01/2008 18:32

Listen here... none of this pain talk

3cats Sore nipples and spots!! OOooh. It would be lovely if you got your BFP - then that would mean that I would definitely be due mine . Glad you had a lovely christmas, know what you mean about it being over so quickly. The build up seems to go on forever, then it arrives and bam, it's over!

2008 will be our year!!!

3catstoo · 03/01/2008 09:29

If only Ready.

My AF arrived yesterday, shortly after writing my message on here.

I was sure I was pg.
At least AF arrived on time and didn't keep me in suspence.

The spots are really bad. I have a huge one on my chin. I don't want to be seen out today!

I'm hoping DH will be in a giving mood this month too .

Big hugs all round.

Ready · 03/01/2008 10:28

I have a sympathy spot on my chin, especially for you 3cats - no idea where it has come from as my skin is usually fine until the end of my cycle, can only assume that it is all the bad foods eaten over xmas

Fingers crossed this is your month!!

3catstoo · 03/01/2008 13:28

As if January wasn't depressing enough !

I feel pale and unhealthy.
I made myself feel worse by going out to buy some new jeans. I tried on my usual size but looked hideous (sp?). The styles have changed again. Low rise is bad enough but it seems to have got even lower. I object to showing the crack of my backside!
Even if it were'nt so big I'd still object!

I came home thinking that I will not buy anymore clothes until I have lost weight. Now I don't know what to wear.

I'm sure I go through this every January.
I get through jeans like there's no tomorrow. Holes in the right knee always.
The last pair lasted 2 months! They were a good fit too but Next have changed that style. I tend to go to Next for Jeans because I am short and the petite range is a good length (most of the time).

Now I have to figure out how to lose the middle bump and bum !

Ready · 03/01/2008 15:16

January is a low month isn't it. All the hype of xmas and new year over, the bubble bursts. I always take my xmas decorations down before new years, even though everyone mutters at me and says is is bad luck or whatever. But for me, I cannot face the new year with xmas decs, it just brings me down.

Invest in some Liz Earle tan-lotion, a little squirt of it in your moisturiser (body or face) and it gives you a subtle glow. Exfoliate well first, mind

I am sure you didn't look hideous at all. Where did you get your jeans? I have got a lovely pair from River Island, and they are not too low rise, just enough to not be high waisted and really unflattering. Proper hip level. I am not tall, and RI jeans are always a good length. Check them out.

A good tip to disguising a middle bump - ruffles. I am pretty sure it was Gok Wan who said if the fabric has ruffles and rolls, it makes it impossible to tell what is fabric and what is you

3catstoo · 03/01/2008 21:11

Thanks Ready,

Will try the Liz Earle lotion, I really feel like I need a tan.

I've never tried River Island for jeans.
The best jeans I got were from Liz Claibourne (sp?). But our local shop closed down so London is the closest.

My middle bump isn't big but I know it's there. My clothes are starting to get tighter (some I can't get over my bum , yet I could 6 months ago).

Since turning 30 I seem to put on weight quicker. I've always been small and been able to eat what I like. I fear those days are over. Time to watch what I eat and get to the gym. I suppose it will be good for me in the end .

Thank you so much for being so supportive, it is really appreciated.

Ready · 03/01/2008 21:54

I am sure your middle is in great shape, especially factoring in your children - I have always been curvy. I am quite happy with myself at the moment, could lose a few lbs perhaps, but I am looking ok. If turning 30 makes it harder to stay trim, I might be in trouble
I swear by Liz Earle The tan lotion is natural too - sunflower seeds or something, which is good. It doesn't have that strong smell like some fake tanners. Do you reckon I could get a commission or something for product placement
Never tried on Liz Claibourne jeans before. I did try on a pair of 7 for all mankind jeans a few months ago, and they were amazing. The fit was incredible, with one exception - the leg length!! I am only 5'5" so I often have problems with leg length. Tut. Probably a good job they were too long, because I would have bought them, and they were over £100

Ok. Enough of my waffle. I need to finish my ironing.

3catstoo · 04/01/2008 17:32

I think it's the fact that I've outgrown lots of clothes that has highlighted my growing middle section.

Not really sure what exercise is best for tums, bums and thighs.

I think the running m/c is all I could cope with. All those other machines look far too complicated to manage .

Do you go to the gym?

I wouldn't pay huge amounts for jeans as I do seem to go through the knees very quickly.

Ready · 04/01/2008 18:36

I'm not going to make any bawdy comments about you wearing through the knees of your jeans

I don't go to the gym, I have been a couple of times, in my younger days, but always felt really self conscious - everyone there is toned and knows what they are doing. And the machines are dull! I had an exercise bike at home once, and I used it every day for about 3 months then got bored.

What I do is Davina's workout (I have both, but the boxercise is what I am using at the moment) - it sounds sad, but I don't have to worry about other people looking at me (so long as I remember to close the curtains) or what I am wearing and dh has done it a few times and thinks it is a good workout, so it's not just a con. I really enjoy doing it, and feel as if I have done something. And on days where you just don't feel like working out you don't feel like you should be at the gym just because you paid a membership. I always find that if something is a choice not a chore then I am more likely to stick at it. Her routines work the whole body but highlight certain areas, which you can always concentrate on if you feel the need.

That said, I haven't done it once over xmas and new year - but in my defence I have moved house and been super busy

3catstoo · 04/01/2008 19:22

I didn't think of getting a fitness video/dvd. What a great idea Ready..

I hate the thought of going along and looking silly and not wearing the right thing.

I might try that next week.

Have a fab weekend.

As for the knees, I have no idea how I do it but it's always the right knee. Every pair of jeans now has a huge hole on the right knee.

freddiesyummymummy · 04/01/2008 20:09

Hello
Just starting to chart again while TTC #2.

It only took 3 months last time but I think its worth it as I'm sure it would have taken me a lot longer without knowing what was going on!

Any tips as last time i did this was nearly 3 years ago!

Ready · 04/01/2008 20:46

I am full of bright ideas 3cats I can fully recommend Davina's work I particularly like the box-ercise in her 3x30 minute workouts, really gets the heart going. - that's pink cheeks through working hard

freddiesyummymummy Good luck! Have to say I am probably not best placed to give any tips, I haven't actually charted for a few months and I'm actually still ttc#1, been going over a year now. Perhaps you have some tips
