Insomnia can be a symptom City .

Glad you're feeling reasured.

Hi Ready.

Ready · 28/11/2007 21:59

How was the winter Pimms 3cats?? How are you? Made any headway with DH? - Know what you mean about stubborness. Me and dh are both stubborn, neither willing to back down, even if we know we are wrong. Hope you are ok?

City - Ooh, insomnia, hope it is a symptom, and I am sure I hear that feeling horny was due to the pg hormones too - so fingers are firmly crossed for you, chick! Take it easy and look after yourself

cityangel · 29/11/2007 00:27

thanks Ready thinking of you an 3catstoo

iampgatlast · 29/11/2007 13:17

hi ladies

ready - i hope you are ok?

city - i hope you are resting and being positive xx

sorry if this seems like i am butting in but i was bored so thought i would toddle over to the conception thread and see how some old buddies are doing but then i have read about your story 3cats....am i right in what ive gathered that dp doesnt want any more children and is using condoms however you do and are trying to "persuade" him not to use them? apologies again if you think i am interfering but i just wanted to say what a friend of mine and dps did when he found out his wife was cheating.

our friend found out his wife was seeing another man (they have a very promiscuous relationship so i wont go into detail) but anyway he was frightened of her leaving him and thought the only way she wouldnt was if he got her pregnant which she was dead against and always insisted on condoms. because he couldnt get away with not using one as she would just stop all action, he got a needle and pricked all of the packets of condoms straight the way through so they were no longer "sealed". He did get her pregnant and a year later they had a son, the affair was stopped as soon as she found out she was pregnant and she now knows the truth about what happened and doesnt hold anything against her dh for doing it.

i just wanted to say that there could be other ways around it as what you are going through must be so so hard and semi selfish on your dhs part as you gave him more children when he wanted it but now wont even consider doing the same for you. i wish you luck hon xxx and sorry again if you think i am being nosey and speaking out of line. x

Hi Lampy, doing ok... vague nausea.. need to keep it together as have 20 people coming for drinks at the weekend!

Ready · 02/12/2007 12:45

Good to see you Iampg - Hope all is well?

City - How did your drinks for 20 go? Hope you are well, liking the sound of the nausea . When is your scan? A week Monday I thought you said, but shamefully too lazy to scroll down and check .
I haven't had any alcohol yet, but as soon as I do, you can be sure it will be in your honour

3cats - How are you doing? Ok I hope, thinking of you. (hug)

cityangel · 02/12/2007 19:29

Hi Ready drinks went well I think. I thought I may be able to drink earlier in the week as I had lots more red bleeding. I was convinced I was losing it. Doctor sent us to A&E and amazingly the scan showed its still there 6 weeks old Saturday and has a tiny heartbeat . They could also see the source of the bleeding and I need to go back in a week if it hasn't stopped.

So for now fingers crossed...

I feel bad posting about being pg in here so I will post any more details on the other thread and stick in here for chats if that's ok?

I would really miss you guys if I have to go for good :0(

Ready · 02/12/2007 22:22

Oh, ok. Well, we don't want you feeling bad, so chat is fine.
I will just post this about your pregnancy here though, as it is hard for me to visit the graduate thread at the moment... I am sorry to hear that you had lots of bleeding, but lovely to hear that the scan showed a heartbeat - that is wonderful news. All the very best.
Glad the drinks went well, hope you weren't rushed off your feet - still haven't had that cocktail for you, I am not really in the party mood at the moment, but I am sure that will change

cityangel · 02/12/2007 23:14

Oh Ready I understand how hard it must be to be in the party mode, when the time comes I prescribe a mohito or leggy chardonnay
Thanks for your lovely wishes.

How is dh? I always think of him when we watch the footie. We did well in Europe last week, but still don't seem top notch at home.

Is your family Christmas mad or adverse? We are the former with the dancing entourage and Christmas tree... I am sure some (most) of the people who came over at the weekend think we're nutters

3catstoo big hugs to you. I hope some festive relaxation is heading your way

3catstoo · 03/12/2007 16:39

Hi Ladies,

Glad to hear that the scan went well City .

Hi Ready, big hugs to you.

The Winter Pimms is quite addictive .

Needless to say I got nowhere with Dh. Besides that I have had the worst bout of thrush I've had in years. I think due to the antibiotics for spots (which haven't gone anywhere). DH has been 'dying' with a cold .

Iampg, you are not butting in at all.
You have the right story yes. The fact that DH didn't wear a condom for 15 months (up until last month)makes it worse. So he did do his bit in a way. I just didn't get pregnant. It was a struggle, however, to get him to BD at the right time. He thinks he did his bit and now he's putting his foot down.

We had an interesting chat over the weekend though. I gathered from it that if I could guarentee him a boy he would be a bit more willing. Daft I know.

This month is pretty much out of the question as Ov is roughly Christmas, when my parents are staying (we have a really really really squeeky bed !!).

Thank you for your thoughts though. I shall not give in. I have the idea that I will not return to work until after I have had another baby. The longer he waits the longer it takes !!
Of course it will drive me insane if I have to stay at home alone. I do want to work, eventually. But I will fight my corner.

Best Wishes and Big Hugs to the 3 of you.

xxxx

cityangel · 03/12/2007 22:52

I've never tried Winter Pims what does it taste like? Will miss sherry the most this winter I think!

Ready · 04/12/2007 14:47

PMSL at the squeaky bed 3cats Here's to a wonderful Christmas full of fun and laughter, and without all the worries of ttc. Resume discussion in the New Year I reckon

Never had winter pimms either - love regular pimms though

Sherry! Cityangel - I would never have pegged you as a sherry drinker Christmas is a relatively tame time for us really - DH is usually busiest at this time of year, lots of games (he's fixed up again now, phew!) around the holidays, as you know. Hehe, I always think of you when I see your boys playing now too

3catstoo · 04/12/2007 18:50

Winter Pimms is quite similar to the usual one but you heat it up with apple juice.

I quite like sherry too.
Baileys is nice aswell.

I'm not a wine drinker as I can't handle it. After half a glass I get a 3 day hangover with blackouts and all.

So I steer clear (I think I drank too much when I was 18 and now my body can'y hack it.)

Mulled wine is fine though and goes down a treat. I think that's why I like the warn Pimms too.

Listen to me going on about drinking .

The squeeky bed is a real problem you know. Even with no one else in the house, it bugs us sometimes..
Must do something about it in the new year. Or add to the list...

Story time now so must dash.....

xxxxxx

cityangel · 04/12/2007 23:06

I feel left out not having a squeeky bed.. off to make it squeek

3catstoo · 06/12/2007 14:58

Nothing to be envious of City

AF arrived first thing this morning. A 27 day cycle this time. Looks like I did Ov when I suspected it was a bit early.

Not upset as I knew there was no chance. Also the short cycle means my next chance comes around more quickly .

Ov for this cycle has moved since I updated my chart. Makes it a bit easier as our visitors won't have arrived by then.

Now I'm going to be on a mission to declutter the house and prove to DH that I could cope. Wish me luck.
I have been very good though and started sorting cupboards and clearing the mess from our bedroom. It always seems to our room that ends up with all the junk in.

Hope you are both well (you to IAMPG).

cityangel · 06/12/2007 20:27

Good luck 3catstoo that sounds like a good plan

Hope you're doing ok Ready

Ready · 07/12/2007 21:24

Still haven't had that drink for you yet City - won't be long, and I will be toasting in your honour.

3cats - I am sorry that you are in a new cycle, but loving the plan of proving you can cope.

Ready · 11/12/2007 13:43

Moving house next week - yay! So may well be without internet access for a while. If that is the case, I hope you both have a wonderful christmas and great new year

cityangel · 11/12/2007 18:20

Good luck with the move Ready moving any further south?

I'll try and sneak on over Christmas but will be out of action over New Years so I hope you have a good one!

3catstoo how are you?

I am full of cold and trying not to put off wrapping Christmas presents any longer, it's amazing how many diversion tactics I've come up with so far!

Ready · 11/12/2007 19:21

Moving back east - I have been just like you, putting off wrapping presents, but I finally gave in and broke the back of it today. Sorry about your cold (hugs) - look after yourself. xx

cityangel · 12/12/2007 00:05

Cool I hope it goes smoothly

Come back when you can I'll miss you

I managed 4 presents must try harder!

I bought 4 boxes of tissues to persuade the cold away! My Mum gave it to me!

right off to bed, hi 3catstoo waving

Ready · 12/12/2007 10:07

I think you jinxed yourself in an earlier post, when you said of all the vitamins you'd taken, that you got fewer colds Hope you are feeling better soon.

Big wave to 3cats

3catstoo · 14/12/2007 18:16

Good Luck with the move Ready.

Hi City. Hope your cold goes quickly.

cityangel · 16/12/2007 17:56

Ready · 17/12/2007 00:10
