@McTufty yip. Daily I decide I won't temp and then when I go to bed I always think 'why not' as all it's done is confuse. One day it goes up. One day it goes down. And if I google I can't find one that does that ConfusedConfusedConfused

PhoenixDown · 26/08/2017 18:13

yes yes yes yes finally got a clear positive OPK after days of 'hmm almost??' ones Grin

We DTD last 2 nights so hoping to get another 2 in. let's hope DP is up for it cracks knuckles

AlexsMum89 · 26/08/2017 21:17

@marigold83 I'm glad I'm not alone!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 26/08/2017 21:51

So I am (or so I thought) cd10 and looks like I'm at the beginning of having another period 5 days after I just finished. I'm just going to cry in a corner

roseandtime · 26/08/2017 23:00

That's weird @unicorns, does that happen often to you?? It's too early for implantation bleeding though right?

roseandtime · 26/08/2017 23:01

Yeah that's not even possible, sorry, I'm being stupid there. Hmm! Poor you!

AlexsMum89 · 26/08/2017 23:04

I'm sorry @unicorn I had a terrible time at the beginning of the year after coming off the depo injection. I bled almost constantly for 2 months. In the end I was given some help and things kicked back into a cycle again. I feel your pain!

PineapplePrincess · 26/08/2017 23:18

Not looking good for me this month. AF due Monday/Tuesday, but I caved and did a test yesterday, to a BFN. Was the Clearblue one which is suppose to detect up to six days early.

Grrrrrr!?!

Still holding on to the microscopic hope that the test was wrong. Never knew how much of a closet optimist I could be until start TTC.

juneybean · 26/08/2017 23:22

Still very early pineapple those early tests only work for some people

For example some people start off with HCG at 1 and it doubles every 48 hours so it'll be 9 days after implantation before you get a positive on a 10 miu test however some people will start off with HCG at 5 so they'll get a positive 2 days after implantation.

Does that make sense?

OP posts:
PineapplePrincess · 26/08/2017 23:37

Thanks @Juneybean.

Implantation is typically 9DPO? So that would take me to 23rd, so yeah possibly if HCG levels are low and slowly rising, maybe test wouldn't pick up.

Trying not to get hopes up. Every month is like a rollercoaster!?! Beginning to lose hope overall. :-(

juneybean · 26/08/2017 23:39

It's shit every month :(

Steaksauce · 27/08/2017 00:00

Hi, late to the party but can I join?

This is my first ever post on mumsnet!

Age:37
TTC #1
Cycle: 2

Left it a bit late to get cracking with this kid malarkey, in cycle 1 I got a bit over the top, ended up obsessed with poas and spent a fortune (husband doesn't know that...)
Now have some cheapies in my drawer and one FRER to double check should the get a bfp.

I'll be testing 1st sept (af due 31st Aug)
TWWs are DULL

MonaTheMoaner · 27/08/2017 01:08

Checking in!

Age: 28
TTC: #3
Cycle: #2
BFP due: 11th September

According to Ovia I'm in my fertile window between now & next Wednesday so I'm just going to jump on DH daily with no hesitation. Scary for me as I'm going back to university on the 18th September so I'm very apprehensive about being pregnant & studying simultaneously.

Bubble04 · 27/08/2017 06:22

I'll join too if that's ok

Age: 37
TTC: #3
Cycle: #1
AF due: 5th September

I'm not tracking anything, don't know when/if I ovulated, but I'm keeping fingers crossed. This is a last ditch attempt as there's already a big age gap as my DS2 is 9. We've given ourselves a year. If it doesn't happen then I guess it's not meant to... x

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/08/2017 07:59

@roseandtime Nope I've always had normal 28 day hassle-free cycles from this point pre-mc. Took OPKs the last few days and they've become more negative and faint despite the fact I should be just entering my fw tomorrow.

@AlexsMum I'm hoping it sorts itself out quickly but I have no clue what's going on

roseandtime · 27/08/2017 09:11

Oh I'm sorry to hear that @unicorns. Hopefully it'll just take your body a bit more time to settle out?

juneybean · 27/08/2017 09:42

Do we know how much alcohol affects BBT? Me and the wife had a night out last night and understandably my temperature has shot up today (9dpo)

OP posts:
passmethewine123 · 27/08/2017 10:21

@juneybean any more than a couple drinks has a big effect on my temperature so I always disregard my temp the morning after a night of drinking

CoconutGal · 27/08/2017 12:26

AF due tomorrow, took a PG test this morning, negative. Boobs have been sore for the last few days, I'm cranky, emotional & have a short fuse. 🙄

Janefx40 · 27/08/2017 13:03

@CoconutGal sorry about the negative. You're not out til AF arrives.

Having said that I'm pretty sure I am out. Cramps getting stronger plus DTD flushed out some early signs of an imminent period.

To add insult to injury I have cystitis and am on a campsite. Only blessed relief I've had so far was treading water in the sea for half an hour.

Not my best day! Bloody TTC. Bloody AF. Bloody aging body.

On the plus side I will officially be on the September bus. AF/BFP due 26th Sept xxxx

@juneybean glad you went out and had fun drinking with the wife! Fun and booze highly important x

PhoenixDown · 27/08/2017 14:40

well, annoyed on 2 counts today

  • I fell asleep last night so didn't DTD, after a positive OPK Sad
  • Held a right good wee in for 4 hours, got back from supermarket, went upstairs to do OPK and somehow went onto autopilot and just went straight in the loo and flushed before I even realised what I'd done. Wanted to see if surge was over or not. Arrrrrggggghhhhhh Angry
McTufty · 27/08/2017 15:17

Welcome mona and steak and bubble!

janef cystitis is the worst! I had a UTI a couple of cycles ago which I am sure I have from not going to the loo post shag because I want to keep the sperm in!! Sorry AF got you - welcome aboard the September bus!

phoenix that's so annoying!!! I always do that too. Luckily I seem to be able to pick up the surge even without holding for ages first.

Sorry about the BFN coconut Sad Hopefully just too early for you and it is still your month.

juney it doesn't really affect mine to any great extent, possibly a little high. Your temp going back up is a great sign!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 27/08/2017 15:19

Well the bleeding has stopped (though I've said that so many times in the last month that I don't really know what to believe). My opk last night when I was spotting was so, so faint (the right one is what I took last night, the left is the day before).

I'm guessing my levels just went a bit haywire. I'm going to try and not expect much this month I think. Unless my surge picks up very, very quickly then I doubt anything's happening; I've never had one this faint before Hmm

September Bus
juneybean · 27/08/2017 15:47

Haha phoenix that reminds me this month I knocked a cup of wee into the bath this month and ended up dipping a stock as it trickled down the plughole. The things we do!!

Sorry to hear you think you've got AF Jane :(
