There's totally a line @oceandreams, congratulations! How long have you been trying?

Sorry about the BFNs Flowers

PinkBeetroot · 16/09/2017 12:30

Sorry to hear that Meow Wine
Congratulations Ocean!! Definitely a line. Woo hoo!!
I took another test this morning after the strange faint line a couple of days ago and nothing at all now, so that'll teach me for fishing around in the bin.. AF not due for another week though so still hopeful.

PinkBeetroot · 16/09/2017 13:33

@nimbleknitter I agree, I'm out of OPKs and am not buying any more for this reason.. I don't need the extra stress that comes with it so from now on "what will be will be"!

Janefx40 · 16/09/2017 13:38

I'd like to do a month without OPKs too. We know more or less when I ovulate now and I think that would be liberating. But OH wants to do them so we do

Coffee3 · 16/09/2017 18:40

Congratulations to those with positive tests!! 🎉💐
After all of my questions about opk's I've not had chance to use them !
I started my last period on 3rd Sept and it was really heavy (heavier than usual and lasted a week)
Then yesterday it started again?!
Anyone had any similar experience or clue as to what might be going on, other than my uterus breaking down?!
I'm wondering if I've somehow missed becoming pregnant & miscarried, but in a week since the end of the last period this seems unlikely? I might go the gp on Monday, but don't want to waste their time?

pulpi · 16/09/2017 21:54

Congrats on the BFPs!

Coffee, if it's unusual bleeding for you, it's probably worth a doctor's visit.

Well and truly in the TWW now and starting to symptom spot.

-Food tasting odd (although possibly due to congested nose) - check.
-Vile mood towards DH after he brought me coffee whilst I was having a lie-in - check.
-Feeling bloated (could've been the 2 fajitas) - check.
-Dark nipples (although after a year of breastfeeding, I can't quite recall what they're supposed to look like) - check.
-Freezing cold (although I live in Scotland) - check.

So possibly pregnant but definitely insane. Confused

PinkBeetroot · 16/09/2017 22:42

Fingers crossed for you pulpi.
I've had some pink spotting this evening so hoping it's not my period on the way massively early.. dare I hope its implantation bleeding? 🤞

Cakelaur · 16/09/2017 23:01

Hoping I can jump on the band wagon/bus.
4dpo, temping and splashed out on a clear blue advanced fertility monitor. My other half thinks I'm crazy. It's only 2nd cycle of really trying but it didn't happen last month so of course I assumed I was broken and bought every gadget I could!! 🙈
So in the TTW. And feeling positive. I defo O'd and we DTD in the lead up. So fx!!
Good luck to every one else and congrats to all the BFPs so far!! Xx

PinkBeetroot · 16/09/2017 23:08

Welcome cake! 😀

Cakelaur · 16/09/2017 23:58

Thanks @PinkBeetroot how many dpo are you?

PinkBeetroot · 17/09/2017 05:20

@cakelaur 8 dpo here

Cakelaur · 17/09/2017 09:16

@PinkBeetroot I'd say that there's a pretty good chance it's IB rather than AF. Eek!! How long until you're gonna test?are you temping?

McTufty · 17/09/2017 10:06

@coffee3 I'm really sorry I don't know what that could be, you poor thing. Totally legitimate to ask your doctor though, good luck.

@pulpi promising symptoms, when will you test?

@pinkbeetroot at 8dpo that sounds massively like implantation bleeding, fingers crossed!

Welcome @cakelaur, nice to meet a fellow early obsessive! I'm a couple of months further along than you but it took over my mind very early on! I thought "well if I was ever going to get pregnant I don't see why it wouldn't have happened cycle one" and other such crazy nonsense! I've not got the monitor but I use the dual hormone sticks. How are your temps looking? I also temp so love to see a chart!

I think I'm 10/11 dpo here so technically AF is a couple of days late given my past few cycles. I have minimal symptoms but might test when I get home today (we have been away at a wedding this weekend) as I've never been far along enough to do it before!

Presh12345 · 17/09/2017 10:40

Going to ask a daft question. How to you know when you have ov'd?? If you aren't using the opk's? I've never had ovulation pain before so nothing is new there. I'm going by ovia app and using the fertile days as ovulation. Had a few twinges today that reminded me of period pains but not due for another two weeks.

McTufty · 17/09/2017 10:45

@presh12345

If you're not using OPKs then it's a case of getting to know your body. Look for EWCM, and a high cervix. In my case I get little EWCM so it's a very wet vaginal sensation and a high soft cervix that I can use to judge, although I do use OPKs. You can also take your temperature to confirm ovulation.

But lots of people just have sex every other day from the second week in their cycle and don't worry about the specific ovulation day, it's whatever works for you. It's hard to say whether you're having ovulation pains without knowing whether your other signs point to ovulation. They're quite non specific and personal. I don't get ovulation pain that I can recognise.

Cakelaur · 17/09/2017 11:05

Hi @McTufty
I've attached my chart. It's doing crazy things at the mo. So. Or 100% sure I've even O'd now. Although I had sore boobs, ewcm etc but it's my first month temping so maybe it's normal for me. How's your chart going? I think it's so exciting all the stuff I've learnt! There so much process behind it all!! Haha. But still defo expecting (totally unrealistic I know) to be pregnant immediately. It's the one thing I can't control! But also enjoying the whole process with my other half if I'm honest even if he does think I'm a loon right now! Haha

McTufty · 17/09/2017 11:43

@cakelaur I'd say you definitely ovulated as I can see a difference in the pattern of temps post ovulation. It's a tiny bit erratic temps though, are you recently off birth control? I had a couple of charts just like that! Mine are better now, I have a temp spike and they're clearly biphasic but it took a couple of cycles to get there. I've also got better at taking my temp consistently which has helped.

Anyway everyone's chart is different and on Fertility Friend, which I use, you can look at other people's charts and the pregnancy ones come in all shapes and sizes. It's the general pattern that matters, as long as it shows a biphasic pattern post ov, which yours does, that's all that matters!

PinkBeetroot · 17/09/2017 12:22

I'm out Sad... My pink spotting has unmistakably and unexpectedly turned into AF. Gutted as it came from nowhere. My cycle has been a bit all over the place since stopping breastfeeding, but I was feeling really hopeful this month. I'm off to have a little sulk in the corner!
Good luck ladies, I will loiter about to cheer you all on! Grin

Cakelaur · 17/09/2017 12:25

@McTufty that's good to know. I've been off BC for about year and a half. But we've been withdrawing since then. We had a couple of 'whoopsies' a couple of months ago and decided that actually we both now ready so we did NTNP last month and then of course I decided I needed to up the game as it didn't happen immediately! Haha. I've actually really enjoyed temping.
I do it every morning around 7am. But hubby leaves for work at around 5.30/6am. And I don't wake up but I defo stir from then til my alarm. But I'm not awake enough to take my temp then. I've try to read my cervix but totally don't think I can ever feel it. So gave up on that for now and just do cm, temp and clear blue fertility monitor. It was more to give me peace of mind that my body was doing what it needed to.
My hubby has an 11year old so we're pretty sure he's good to go. And him and his ex fell pregnant by mistake with one time unprotected. So I guess that plays on my mind a little. Although it was 11 years ago. So everyone is a little older.
We'll see. #rantover haha x

Cakelaur · 17/09/2017 12:26

@PinkBeetroot sorry to hear that. You can always try temping along side it all. I think it's quite fun. Fingers crossed next month is the one.

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 17/09/2017 13:29

Well AF has just arrived so on to the October bus I go. Hopefully I won't see some of you there

pulpi · 17/09/2017 15:53

@McTufty - I'll be 8dpo tomorrow and will have to tape my hands together to stop from testing.

@PinkBeetroot - I stopped bf after a year in July and I've only had one period so far. I'm not sure if my symptoms are really symptoms or just my body readjusting.

Anyone else trying to hold out until Wednesday to poas?

Meggimoo · 17/09/2017 16:13

Gutted @pinkbeetroot. Have a feeling I'm right behind you. Had teeny bit of brown spotting today and yesterday but also been a bit crampy so thinking AF is going to spring up early. Not due till 22nd.

PinkBeetroot · 17/09/2017 17:21

Thank you Cake, fingers crossed for you!
Wine for you, Unicorns
@Pulpi, it's so frustrating isn't it. I fed until about 10 months and had I known how long cycle would take to get back to normal, I would seriously have considered stopping earlier.
Sorry to hear that Meggimoo, fingers crossed for you til AF arrives.

Marigold83 · 17/09/2017 17:24

Sorry hear about the af's and af symptoms :-( @pulpi I'm due to test on Wed
