One of my friends that's ttc has quite bad endometriosis so I'd have a bit of guilt telling her if I conceive early and she struggles @ladydolly

@Emz01 this is my first time doing OPKs and I've stuck mine all down to see the progression. I think I'm going to have a gradual build up. I'm CD 13 and they are no where near positive but showing a little more each day. I don't think I ovulate till around CD 16. So hopefully it shows.

I quite literally had every symptom going last cycle! 🙈🙈 I was a nightmare. Going to play it cool this time. Haha

Emz01 · 24/07/2017 15:28

Thanks for all your replies ladies. I will have to keep testing and see how I get on. Last month I didn't quite get a positive and still ovulated. I've been testing a couple of times a day and ran out of opks will need to get some more 🙈

Janefx40 · 24/07/2017 15:41

Hi @Emz01 sometimes my lines have got stronger towards ovulation but last month i had faint, stronger, non-existent then positive in the days leading up to ovulation! So I think it can be a bit random! If you use digital ones you don't have to do so much interpreting but they are more expensive.

I am also a crazy symptom spotter - I had no idea how many changes and twinges I got during my cycle until I started TTC. Month 4 now and am slightly better informed about my body and the many things that (despite my hopes) do not necessarily mean I am pregnant!

HolyShmoly · 24/07/2017 18:44

I have definite pre-AF symptoms so I'm looking ahead to next month now.
Has anyone used fertility lubricant? (The word lube makes me feel really gross!) I think I'm going to pick some up for this month, but not sure if there's a particular brand to go for?

TwinkleTee · 24/07/2017 19:03

Hi ladies, can I board the bus?

Age: 36 (eep)
TTC: #2
Cycle: 1
AF due 5th August.

Its the first round of Clomid I've been on this time TTC and I've forgotten how pants it makes you feel! Got the first +ve opk for a considerable time last week which means the meds are working thankfully. Although I'm such a horrible hormonal mess that I'm suprised DH still wants to shag me TBH Grin

ladydolly · 24/07/2017 19:43

Welcome twinkle. Did you use clomid last time? How did it go? I'm older than you so don't feel too bad :)

holy I bought the best rated one on amazon - that's basically how I buy anything. This was the first time I used. DP's face when I gave him a little warning, that was worth the £13 alone Grin

The pulling feeling has started. Pleeeeease don't let this just be in my head!

pixieinlove · 24/07/2017 19:58

The waiting is a nightmare. I am analyzing everything I feel. Feel like I have slight period pain feeling. And trying to analyze what the feeling is exactly BlushWas so long ago that I was pregnant can't remember what it felt like.
And I'm in the worst mood imaginable. Go from wanting to scream to wanting to cry.

Surely if I tested + OPK on Thur. Hopefully ovulated either Fri/Sat/Sun it would be too soon to feel anything ??

Welcome aboard @TwinkleTee interested that you are taking Clomid. Did you take it with DC #1?

@HolyShmoly do you think they could be early pregnancy symptoms rather than AF symptoms? #foreverhopful

TwinkleTee · 24/07/2017 20:09

Thanks @lady and @Pixie!
Yes was on Clomid for first DC. It worked first cycle after 18mths of TTC naturally, which was a huge relief. Desperately trying not to get my hopes up for this first cycle as I know lightning probably wont strike twice.... But not really wanting to take it again as it makes me feel like an utter pile of cack.... Poor DH, living with a hugely hormonal me and a very "spirited" 2 year old.... poor bugger needs the Gin more than I do Smile

juneybean · 24/07/2017 20:12

x x Our Spreadsheet x x

Sorry if I've missed anyone....just let me know!

HolyShmoly · 24/07/2017 20:22

Pixie I know I'm not out until AF comes, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I've added conceive plus to my basket, but I won't click buy until I know for sure it's not this month. That seems to be the highest rated on amazon.
Twinkle is clomid for pcos? I was diagnosed with it a few years ago, before we started ttc, but I'm assuming we'll have to try at least 6 months before the doctor will even look at us?

Shanners123 · 24/07/2017 21:56

Wow there's 40 of us now! Fx for everyone!

I'm not sure what's going on with my cycle. Currently cd21 and day 5 of "high fertility" results on my OPKs, but no sign of peak yet and AF is about a week away. Not sure if I've missed peak and OPKs are lying or if my peak is actually this close to AF. Surely not?!

Have dtd every other day pretty much since cd4 so I'm hoping I've covered it. 🤐

@holy I bought fertility check gel which is the same as pre seed / conceive plus. It was fine, felt a bit strange but would use again. Might try one of the other two if this cycle doesn't end in a Bfp.

HairyWorm · 24/07/2017 22:40

Evening all.
Hopping over from the July Bus as I think a BFP is quite unlikely this month.

Long story but I needed more sticks than normal for my monitor. I had a few left from an old box and I think that I've either not ovulated or the change in sticks has coincided with ovulation so the monitor hasn't recognised it. Anyhoo, I'm giving AF until Sunday to make her grand entrance or I'll POAS.

I'm also trying to find a good app as Glow (and others) seem to ignore ovulation test results in favour of their own calculations. I recall having same issue when TTC DD.

Quite reassured to read I'm not the only one in here over 40.

HairyWorm · 24/07/2017 22:49

Shanners are you using clear blue monitor too? Something I found out a while ago is that once you get a high reading, you will not get a low reading again in that cycle until you get a peak (or if you miss a test).
So basically, without a peak you could continue to get high readings right through to end of your cycle and waste a lot of sticks!

HairyWorm · 24/07/2017 22:55

Can you add me to the spreadsheet juneybean

Age 41
TTC 2
Cycle 2
Test date 30th July

Cheers

Shanners123 · 24/07/2017 22:57

@hairy no I didn't know that! Wow. So the question is do I keep going and hope my peak comes in the next 2 days? (I've only 2 sticks left)

Shanners123 · 24/07/2017 23:00

Also my app updates are as follows..

Fertility Friend is good for tracking bbt and which cd number you are

Ovia is my new fav. So easy to use and actually suggested moving my FW based on the data I was entering

Clue is absolutely pointless and I have stopped filling it in. Horrible interface

Period Tracker I'm sticking with purely out of longterm loyalty but it's incredibly basic and really not for ovulation tracking

Janefx40 · 24/07/2017 23:15

@juneybean whenever you update the spreadsheet my AF is due 2nd August so technically test day would be 3rd August (if I can wait that long!)

IntelligentPutty · 25/07/2017 06:57

I'm using 3 apps.

Ovia. (I like this one Best).
Mc my cycles by medhelp. I used this one last time conceived.
Clue. No experience as only started this one a few days ago. Comments on here not promising though.

Bought some opk strips this month. On way from amazon. Is the idea that soon as u get flashing face start to dtd and carry on until at lease solid face. Is it worth carrying on after?

ladydolly · 25/07/2017 07:40

I highly recommend ovuview. It gives a nice table/grid of everything you're measuring.

Janefx40 · 25/07/2017 07:46

Hi IntelligentPutty - yes keep going for a few days after you get your static smiley face.

if you are using the dual hormone ones then the flashing face means your estrogen is increasing which signals you are moving towards ovulation. So you DTD then. The static smiley means the tests have detected a surge in your luteinising hormone (LH)which happens 12-36 hours before you ovulate. As you only test once a day you won't know if your LH has just spiked that minute or a few hours before - so you could ovulate that day or the day after. The egg then lives about 24 hours so you could get pregnant 2 or even 3 days after your LH peak although it does take sperm a while to get to the egg.

One method we were talking about on here says you should have sex every other day until you get your positive, then 3 days in a row and then wait one day and once more (I can't see the point of that last one but I suppose everyone is different so maybe worth a shot).

DoAsDreamersDo · 25/07/2017 08:13

I use Ovia and Glow apps. I like them both and they are telling me the same thing so that's a good sign! Today is the start of FW for me Grin

ally62442 · 25/07/2017 08:39

I've used Ovia for the past two cycles. Before that I used Clue for about 4 years. So it's got the most data input. I transferred a years worth of period info over to Ovia. I also used Fertility Friend last cycle but I just don't like it! My fertile window is different on FF than it is on the other two. So I'm just mainly sticking to Ovia now.

Firework83 · 25/07/2017 08:58

Good morning. Not posted since FW as been trying not to get too caught up in the TWW. Apparently I ovulated later this month (says Fertility Tracker) so not due to test until Sat. I'm 9dpo now and have really weird sharp stabbing pains in my ovaries (particularly left), and shooting pains in my breasts. My bbt chart is quite elevated too. I did a FR test last night and it came up with what apparently is called an evap line but straight away. Not sure what to make of that. I plan to test again tonight.

In terms of apps I like Fertility Friend for their charts and Ovia for general logging.

funnygirlthatbelle · 25/07/2017 09:16

Morning everyone!

Thank you juneybean for adding me to the spreadsheet. It's Cycle 1 for me and test date will be on 31 July! I'm not feeling very hopeful, i keep feeling like i'm going to get AF already - that sort of dull ache in my lower tummy and wanting to eat allllllllll the food.

This TWW goes on FOREVER!!!!!!

Sending good luck to everyone !! xxx

veggielover4 · 25/07/2017 09:25

Morning all! Well, I think I'm officially in the tww - I'm either 1dpo or 2dpo unsure as dd was sick around O date so I spent the night in her room & managed to lose my bbt for a day in the process but temp is way up this morning. Will be testing on 5th Aug!
lots of baby dust to all 👶
🤞 for some Aug bfps on here xxx
