Piffleoffagus · 11/08/2004 08:32

Thats awesome news xoz!!!
I've still no AF, due tomorrow not a single sign of it arriving.
Fingers crossed big time, will be away all weekend but if I test before then I will let y'all know, might be another graduate yet....

Azure · 11/08/2004 08:44

SKBF, I know what you mean about the relief of it not being OV time. It was worse when I was taking my temperature - every day I would get stressed about trying to take it (it's meant to be as soon as you wake up, without moving) before DS would bound into our room - I found myself waking up ridiculously early just to take my temperature. CD26 for me today, so I'm at the "reading volumes into every twinge of my body" stage - crazy really, because the twice I've found out I'm pregnant before I didn't have any symptoms. Frustratingly I don't know when I ov'd this month, so am in the dark about my cycle - I know I didn't BD enough. Oh well, AF expected Sunday.

thanks everyone.
Sorry runtus... I have to admit that I did have mixed feelings posting this morning because I know how many of you have been trying for soo long and I knew that it would make some of you upset Hopefully it will be your turn soon
(((((big hugs)))))

Azure · 11/08/2004 08:45

Piffleofagus you must test before the weekend - you can't leave us in suspense. I have a feeling it's going to be a good week, despite the early disappointment of AFs.

BeckiF · 11/08/2004 10:26

Congrats XOZ! ... C'mon now, rub your lucky pants on the screen!! LOL!!

runtus · 11/08/2004 10:29

Xoz don't you dare feel bad about such great news! Us BFN's will have our time one day.......

I have this strange image of a woman I have never met before rubbing her pants on a screen in the middle of her office!

logic · 11/08/2004 10:50

Congratulations XOZ!

xoz · 11/08/2004 15:44

Rub my pants on the screen....
That's not a nice image. My pants are not exactly small... and anyway I thought it was fairly important not to be wearing any during the ttc thing. Maybe that's where you're going wrong Becki

hester · 11/08/2004 17:51

Congratulations, xoz

Cobweb · 11/08/2004 19:21

Congratulations Xoz, such wonderful news

Piffleoffagus · 11/08/2004 19:27

I'm so nervous with my ds and dd I never had pos test until 4 mths with ds (decade ago) and 2 days after AF due with dd (31 mths ago) and even then line was so faint, dh did not believe me.
I have one first response left, I will not test until Sunday as AF is due tomorrow (no spotting no signs still hurrahhh) but paranoia being what it is, I will wait. Promise to let you all know if it is BFP though!!!

ShouldKnowByFriday · 11/08/2004 21:13

Congrats Xoz on your fantastic new! Fingers crossed for Piffy!
Azure, I read aso you are not supposed to even move before taking temperatures and trying to go over it in my mind I wondered if it's best to stick a thermometer up one's wotsit so the only moving you do is reaching for the thermometer to get the reading! I omitted that idea though as I would have a hard time explaining to DH WTF it's doing there in the first place!
Am on hol from early Friday 13 and back on evening of the 20th so no Mumsnet and no updates on AF's/BFP's until I get back. I wonder how many of you will be announcing your good news for me to read when I get back.
Good luck to all of you!!!

mitzi · 11/08/2004 21:16

Fantastic news Xoz,congratulations.Still no AF here and still bl**dy confused.Dont think I can wait till Friday to retest so might just do it in the morning.

mitzi · 12/08/2004 06:56

Just done another test and got a ...............................................................................................................................................................BFP

mitzi · 12/08/2004 06:59

oh where did my BFP go, oh well me trying to do a drum roll thingy didn't work
so I am pg after all,I didnt think waiting for af could be so tense.I have been paranoid everytime I have been the toilet looking at my tissue after wiping(sorry tmi)

Cobweb · 12/08/2004 07:46

Hi girls, in need of advice my last period was 1st August and I am just wondering roughly when ovulation and conception could occur. I have no idea of the length of my cycles, so just wondered what the general rule was

Piffleoffagus · 12/08/2004 08:28

oooooh mitzi congrats you lucky thing!!!!!!!!11
I've tested again still no +
bit dh's head of last night when he asked me to be quiet for a tv programme, realised it felt like PMT and spent rest of night bawling on my own...
Still no Af and it is due today... but not holding out much hope now...

katierocket · 12/08/2004 08:28

congrats mitzi.
I have all the signs of AF - spots, crabbyness.

Azure · 12/08/2004 09:36

Mitzi - many, many congratulations . Cobweb - ovulation, on average, will be day 14, i.e. Saturday, but it's best to be BDing from now. Piffleofagus and Katierocket - unfortunately, it's a waiting game. You just can't tell until/if AF arrives. Having said that, I'm convinced that AF is just around the corner, and am feeling depressingly resigned to yet another month slipping by.

Congratulations Mitzi. Fantastic news. Come join the "due april" thread.
Piffle, I've been biting everyones head off for the last 2 weeks (almost came to blows with an obnoxius woman in Germany when on hols last week!!! and I'm usually very non-confrontational) so there may be hope yet.....
lots of babydust to all of you
