Yep. AF arrived had a really shit weekend. cramps all day saturday and was very moody (to be expected)Then we went to MIL on saturday arvo and ds put his hand on the hot coonara burnt it and now had blisters. Poor angel.
Really sick of ttc. Getting a number from a friend of a natuapath who has been successful with 99% of her clients falling pg within 1 to 2 months of ttc. the 1% decided not to do it. dont know what she could possibly give me that iam not already on. she looks at your diet and stuff too. something about not eating vegimite while ttc??
SKBF & ChaCha good luck hope you get a BFP

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEABIRD [GRIN][GRIN]
HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!!
nearly midnight here will catch up tomorrow to read about your wonderful weekend away with dh.

bluestar · 08/08/2004 20:19

SKBF, when I got pregnant with ds, my cycles were fairly irregular, probably between 32-40 days. I had a rather energetic 3 days over a bank hol weekend so I knew I had conceived over that time but 14 days on, the test was negative. Good luck.

ChaCha, would love to hear that you get a positive.

I am 10DPO and for the last few cycles I am have started spotting on this day but so far nothing. However I did religiously take starflower oil this month so maybe that is keeping it away. I have been particularly moody today tho so that is not a good sign. Will try and stay a little bit positive just in case. A few days will tell.

Sorry for those that af arrived. Our time will come!

Cobweb · 08/08/2004 20:40

Hi girls, sorry I haven't been around much, I needed to have some DH and me time. We have been very carefree and its been lovely. I got my AF on 1st August, does anyone know roughly when ovulation occurs, is it 12 - 14 days?

Congratulations to everyone with positive results

Love and hugs to everyone xxx

Piffleoffagus · 08/08/2004 20:51

It's awful just waiting, I've never had to before.
My boobs are burning, I have an early response but am not allowed by dh to try until tomorrow, af due Thursday so still a bit too early, why do I feel the need to test when by the weekend it would be obvious?
Grrr at my lack of control...
Hope everyone had a lovely warm weekend
xx

Hi all - haven 't posted for a while but been lurking !! On cd 7 n ow but DH had a minor op last week and is still recuperating so i don't think he will want to bd in a week's time. DS is three next month and we have been trying for two years now for a second. I really know how you feel Logic about those ante-natal groups. Out of mine all who wanted a second have now had them with the last pg ongoing at the mo and my sil is expecting her first in Sept two. it has all been getting to me a bit recently esp as i decided that if we had not conceived by Sept we am going down the clomid and egg tracking route. I have had all tests done and there is nothing wrong apparently. Also trying to lose weight as i am overweight but less than when i conceived last time ! Lots and lots of babydust to everyone as this is a lucky thread!

logic · 08/08/2004 22:11

Hi to Morgan!

I've now told one of the antenatal girls that I am ttc because I wasn't very enthusiastic about her recent pg and felt that I had to explain. She was very supportive though...

I know this is a sensitive subject, but can I ask people at which point they have consulted a GP about ttc?

ShouldKnowByFriday · 08/08/2004 23:59

Guess who made an appearance this evening...

Auntie BL**DY Flo... on CD39!

Have logged onto fertility friend (in serious desperation!) and do I really have to give up caffeine - would like to hear success stories to encourage me - and how can I measure temp first thing in the morning without even talking or moving? It would be okay if DH was involved in the plan but he's not.

Am taking castus agnus or whatever its called and magnesium, B complex, is there anything else I should be taking? I don't even know when egg arrives anymore. I thought it was when curdy (sorry) bits appear in knickers but tonight on a ttc site it said that's when the fertile period is OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been getting it completely wrong for the past three months. And when I did have egg white, OV test sticks didn't show a pos reading.

Yours
Desperate of London

Twiga · 09/08/2004 00:06

Shouldknowbyfriday - pants news! Hope the next month is lucky for you x

katierocket · 09/08/2004 07:18

oh SKBF poor you

I'm afraid I'm not much help on the 'things that will help' front but I'm sure other wise mumsnetters can suggest stuff. I think the mucus has to be stretchy and springy - IFYKWIM, not sure I ever get that kind of stuff - maybe that's the problem.

It's soooo horrible isn't it.

Azure · 09/08/2004 08:30

Sorry it wasn't your month SKBF Morgan, welcome back. Cobweb, ovulation normally occurs 14 days before AF, i.e. day 14 of a 28-day cycle, day 16 of a 30-day cycle. ChaCha - fingers crossed for good news.

OP posts:
runtus · 09/08/2004 08:32

SKBF - sorry to hear your crap news, sometimes it just isn't fair is it? As for best times and knicker symptoms, I am going by the advice offered on Fertility Friend but can't say whether it is right or not as it hasn't worked yet....as far as I can tell though the info re: discharge etc is spot on. I try tyo aim for about 14 days after af and when my CM changes to an egg whitish consistancy. Have had a bit of trouble telling when that is though as sperm and fluid look pretty similar!

Speaking of which, managed to get my very unsexual DH back on the right track over the weekend (IYKWIM) . I've figured it out now, just book into a hotel and he thinks he's on holiday and relaxes!

mitzi · 09/08/2004 09:13

Sorry about your AF SKBF, Its a crap feeling when it arrives isnt it.My af is due today and ive got all the symptoms bachache, narkiness and headache so its not looking like its my month either

ChaCha · 09/08/2004 09:37

Oh No! Too many AF's showing up Grrrr..
Well, AF arrived yesterday, but no actually bleeding yet! (Sorry for TMI, just got this brown stuff so far) and usual AF pains. Suppose its just taking its time.

ChaCha · 09/08/2004 09:38

Oh ChaCha, so sorry to hear that . When will us "old-timers" graduate???

OP posts:
Piffleoffagus · 09/08/2004 10:37

sorry about the all the bloody AF's arriving.
I am due Thursday...
Am too scared to test in case its negative.
Af would normally be due on a Saturday but last month came 2 days early, so could not be certain until end of weekend...
Grrrr

bluestar · 09/08/2004 10:42

SKBF & ChaCha, so sorry about af .

Piffle, my af is due Thursday too. Hoping that we will both have a lucky day. I have sore boobs too, slightly different feeling to usual and by now, I normally have started spotting and I haven't. Not getting my hopes up but maybe just maybe...

tex111 · 09/08/2004 10:44

My goodness, it's like the red tide this week with all the AFs arriving! SKBF, Chacha, Tania and anyone else I've missed really sorry to hear it. Fingers crossed that August is your month!

Mitzi, you can get all those symptoms with pregnancy so don't give up yet!

9dpo here and dying to test. No symptoms at all though so I'm trying not to waste the money.

Piffleoffagus · 09/08/2004 10:46

bluestar exac same here, burning boobs, vivid scary dreams and no spotting...
yet...

Morgan · 09/08/2004 14:10

Good luck Bluestar and Piffleoffagus.

Logic, i went to Doc after a year, nearly a year ago now!! Had blood tests and sperm test through gp and it then took 4 months before the cons' apptm and then had other tests and a lap and dye in May.

mitzi · 09/08/2004 14:18

Well AF still hasn't arrived and I always get it 1st thing in the morning, so I decided to do a test .I used a clearblue and got a faint positive, now do I wait a few days and test again or is there a better test trhat i can use that will give a more definate reading.I cant really believe it

Morgan · 09/08/2004 14:21

Congrats Mitzi - you're pregnant !! The line should get darker if you test again in a few days.

Azure · 09/08/2004 14:25

Mitzi, sounds pregnant to me. Many congratulations
