Get well soon mummy, UTIs are horrible!

Fingers crossed for the trying but not preventing ladies.

otters what a nightmare journey but definitely worth it to now be on a sun lounger.

Good effort on the run and yoga penguin.

I have had a lovely family weekend with walks in the sunshine and lots of good food. However today I'm feeling a little bit sick on and off probably all in my head. It's surely too early to be feeling sick so definitely psychosomatic 😂😂

Tigger83 · 30/04/2017 18:55

My oh and I are away so I've just come back from the spa after the test the morning my view is I'm going to view it as a negative until otherwise confirmed which means have a few drinks and relax. It's just in the back of my mind. I'm testing again on Thursday Smileno tests with me this weekend on purpose as it's about us not ttc

JB1983 · 30/04/2017 18:56

Oh tigger I'm also 9DPO hopefully we are both feeling a bit sick for a good reason! I'm really keeping my fingers scrossed for you, you definitely deserve seeing a BFP!

jupiter sorry you have a bug, hope it's not taken to much of a toll on you, it's hard enough being pregnant I'm sure without a. If on top!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 30/04/2017 19:41

Fingers crossed for you Tigger. Oh wiggley you never know. We're sort of in the same position - not trying and not preventing. We DTD during fertile week with no protection. AB due on Thursday. I've been having weird standby twinges in pelvic area but not sure if I'm overthinking it.

Sorry I've been a bit quiet. I've just been lurking. Work has been absolutely rubbish the past few weeks. So so busy. And my boss was on holiday so I was on my own for 8 days trying to juggle everything. That female partner is leaving btw, she's going at the end of this month. Very strange atmosphere atm!

otters2017 · 30/04/2017 21:59

hb and jupiter I may have one eight tests in my suitcase! I bulked order one step pregnancy tests before our holiday. Not sure when I'll be testing as I'm hoping I ovulated late. Period due tomorrow so if no period will wait a few days before testing. So nerve wrecking!

grumpy hope you and mini bean had a good day today. Size of a strawberry, how exciting!

mummy hope you recover from your UTI quickly. Such a pain literally!

wiggley Fx for a pre-cum baby then! Never thought I'd be saying that
phrase but everything goes on here

tigger sending lots of hugs and happy thoughts. Im glad you didn't bring any tests with you or the temptation will be too strong. Nothing we can do now can change the outcome so just have to wait and see. I may join you with testing on thurs as I'll prob cave by then unless AF shows up first

jupiter glad you're feeling better. Hope you have a nice relaxing day planned tomorrow

parsnips hope you managed to catch the egg! You can join the testers if AF doesn't show

DancingUnicorn · 30/04/2017 22:43

Jupiter so sorry you've been ill. That really sucks. Hope you're feeling ok now and getting lots of rest.

Sorry work has been tough parsnips. Do you think the partner will be trying to steal you away to where she's going. Sounds like not a fun place to be working right now. Would you consider looking elsewhere?

Glad you are without testing temptation for the moment Tigger. Glad you're getting some relaxing time in.

Otters how long are you in Italy for? Really hope this is your month!

Hope you've had a good day grumpy! (Well, are having a good day I suppose!) Hopefully tomorrow won't be too long a day for you.

HbH · 30/04/2017 22:52

Oooh exciting times with our August humpers getting very much on it!! 😂 Good luck parsnips & wiggley is it your hen do soon??

buzz were you still thinking about announcing on your hen?? Isn't it around 12 weeks?

Sorry to hear you've been struck mummy hopefully the penicillin waves it goodbye!

JB i had a day around 7dpo where i was SO rough and felt so sick (luckily was a sunday so could lie around feeling sorry for myself!) obvs too early for morning sickness but maybe a hormone boast around implantation?? Hopefully a good sign anyways!

Urgh jupiter poor you, hope you're over the worst and you can rest up and be looked after... thought you'd been quiet!

Can't imagine the anxiety you're feeling tigger hope you and your OH have a lovely time away and there's good news next week x

Had a lovely afternoon having a walk in the forest with sisters & nephew... 18 months... so cute! Then battered haloumi at my local which i was craving (i crave this preggo or not!) Then back to mine and ended up looking at lots of old photos, many cringe, but fab memories all the same!

JB1983 · 01/05/2017 07:27

So after feeling on and off queasy yesterday I caved and tested this morning at 10DPO. I think I see a line, it's very faint and not really pink. DH is not convinced at all but he hasn't seen the hundreds of posts about squinters that I have

Getting Ready For Baby Challenge - Thread 8
HeyJupiter · 01/05/2017 08:05

Oh my goodness JB I can definitely see a faint line. Tentative congrats but try again tomorrow :) How exciting!!!!!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 01/05/2017 08:06

Omg JB! I see it!! Looks very promising. Remember it will be very faint at 10DPO! Def try again tomorrow. Oh I wish they sold those tests here!!

Eeek! How exciting!!

HeyJupiter · 01/05/2017 08:06

Sorry work has been tough parsnips, why is your colleague leaving?

Seven0fNine · 01/05/2017 08:07

Yes JB definite squinter but I can see it!! Did it come up in the time? My fingers are crossed and I'm getting very excited for you!! Xxxx

Mummyme87 · 01/05/2017 08:09

JB I see it! I could see it before I clicked on the picture on my phone!!! Eeeeek 🤗

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 01/05/2017 08:10

Hey Jupiter she has gone to lead the Middle East office of a big competitor. I would be tempted to go with her if she asked but I'd be kissing goodbye to my maternity entitlement and she can be quite difficult sometimes to work with.

The atmosphere here is rubbish atm. They're obsessed with how many hours we bill and just keep piling on pressure to record more hours. Not fun! Spose every job has its annoyances.

JB1983 · 01/05/2017 08:26

Thanks ladies.yeah seven it came up within the time. I am feeling hopeful but actually quite glad DH thinks it's nothing as he is away on a stag weekend on Friday with my brother and 3 of my friends husbands and he probably couldn't keep his big gob shit once he has a drink in him 😂 So just going to tell him once he's back if it turns out to be a true positive.

Parsnips is the lady that leaving the one that told you not to have children yet? Hope work gets better for you x

Hb battered haloumi sounds the bees knees! I love going through old photos.

JB1983 · 01/05/2017 08:26

Err shut not shit (really should proof read before posting!)

HbH · 01/05/2017 08:59

Oooooh Jb very exciting!!! We are so due another addition to the Humped list! & FX a few more later in the week!

HbH · 01/05/2017 09:07

Sorry work sucks parsnips. It seems a few people have seen the negative side of TTC 'chaining' them to a job cos the alternative is losing mat benefits. It must be so frustrating. Maybe this is your month and you'll get to say bye to them earlier than planned!!

I spent some time yesterday reading a very dry document about Maternity Allowance to double check I'll be entitled - I'm self employed - I'm pretty sure i am but sent it to my business manager Dad to have a read through too! It's a fraction of my earnings but I originally thought I'd get nothing so i suppose i should be grateful!

Seven0fNine · 01/05/2017 09:19

Proper catch up after Jb's exciting news!

wiggley that's so exciting! I felt like a proper rebel having unprotected sex for the first time! Fingers crossed for all the precum babies!!! Ha (now that's something to tell them when they're 18!!)

mummy Hope you are feeling better!

Tigger glad you are relaxing in the spa. The tww is horrible at the best of times it must be really tough after what you have been through xxx

Jupiter I thought you were quiet! Hope you are feeling better my lovely! The quilt is going well...a bit wonky but you can't tell unless you look up close 😂 just need to hand sew the edging on the back then it will be done. I need to do as much of that today as poss!

Hb my niece is 18 months too...such a gorgeous age. Halloumi is my favourite food. I'd eat it everyday of I could but never had it battered before. Sounds amazing! You should be entitled to maternity allowance right? It's not much but good if you thought you were getting nothing!

I have 1 opk left (have ordered more but don't think they'll be here until at least Thursday). I don't know when to do it. Was negative on Sat but not paper white. And Ovia recons my fw is starting. Gonna test out the magic lube in a min if I can wake DH up and seduce him with my morning face 🙄

DancingUnicorn · 01/05/2017 09:31

Eeee jb!!! I can see it too! So exciting!! :) Tentative congratulations for now! And LOL at DH being a blabber mouth when drunk. Mine would probably too, but have zero recollection of it!

Hb the maternity benefits for self employed are a bit shit. But you're definitely entitled to the standard smp. I don't know how you go about getting it though, but I could probably ask the tax person at work if you wanted... Also, how is your dhs maternity policy at his work? I have a friend in similar position, but her dhs work gets very generous may leave. So they're doing spl and it'll work out ok for them!

Seven amazon prime? Should come tomorrow! Use a free trial!

DancingUnicorn · 01/05/2017 09:32

May leave = mat leave.

Mummyme87 · 01/05/2017 09:43

I just ordered some pregnancy tests on amazon.. I have one in the house but as a serial tester I need a few.

5dpo... feeling a bit crampy today, mainly central to left side, but I'm not looking into it too much as I've been here before.

HbH · 01/05/2017 09:45

Ah thanks for thinking of me dancing! From what i've read Maternity Allowance is the same amount as SMP (£140 pw) just for those who don't qualify through an employer. You have to claim it through the job centre & i think it's up to 9 months + 10 KIT days. Reading between the bullsh, you have to have worked 26 weeks in some sort of time period prior (ive been self employed 10 years!!) and make enough NI contributions, which i do! - i was worried at first cos another hairdresser i know was moaning cos she only got 27pw but she clearly massively fiddled the books and that tends to backfire at times like this/or if you're trying to get a mortgage!! Anyway, I'm probably boring you all back to bed!!

Oh, hadn't even considered that DH could take SPL... he's in a fairly male dominated career & is the main earner by quite a bit! I guess it couldn't hurt to look at options!

Mmmmmm you need To get on the battered haloumi seven ! You're letting yourself down as a northerner!! 😂

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 01/05/2017 09:45
