Hair sounds lovely MrsC! I spent a similar amount of time de-weeding the garden haha

HariboFrenzy · 29/04/2017 19:06

Ouch squirrel, that looks painful!
Otters I'm well jel, enjoy Italy!
Seven fx the lube does the job 😉
JB I got my bfps at 11dpo. First faint ones in the morning and then I held my pee for 4 hours to get a darker positive and a digital bfp on the evening of the same day. No major symptoms tbh. I had a heavy feeling where I'd normally get period pain but it wasn't painful. I think my sense of smell has heightened and my belly looks fatter Grin but that's all!

Hoping for lots more bfps over the next few days. My edd is between 6th-11th January. I get different results depending on which site I use

buzzmoon · 29/04/2017 19:43

How are you feeling now haribo has it sunk in yet?

mrs bet your hair looks lovely!

I've had the laziest day :) which included a 2 hour afternoon nap! Wish I could do it everyday I just can't be bothered to do anything! DP got the boxing on so watching telly in bed, living the dream. Hope you've all had a good Saturdays!

DancingUnicorn · 29/04/2017 20:03

Was the wedding venue finalisation today buzz? Hope it went well! Just noticed our wedding anniversaries will be a day apart! Nice time of year not that I'm biased. Lazy day sounds good.

Otters hope you got to Italy safely. Hopefully it will take your mind off some of the waiting anxiety. Enjoy the gelato!

Tigger hope the wedding today is good! Fx the London weather continues to hold out.

Haribo exciting times! New year baby!

Mrsc really need to get my hair done. I quite like the chill time! Although I'm really bad at small talk. Probably a rubbish customer!!

I've done nothing today. Seriously a slob. Was supposed to be going to a beer festival, but it was cancelled because a guy was stabbed right outside. :( Sad times we live in. Still no AF. Nothing much to report really. Been a busy week, but still living in a fog. Also not really sleeping, which really sucks.

Confused, how are you doing?

Mummyme87 · 29/04/2017 20:22

grumpy your toe looks so sore. Buy some tape in a pharmacy and strap it to the middle toe, then take regular paracetamol or codeine if you can get hold of some.

mrsC I'm desperate for a cut and colour, had to cancel my last appt due to the vomiting bug and haven't had time to rebook 😩

Just on my way home from a long day at work, caught a beautiful chunky baby this morning 😍 On an early tomorrow so finish at 3pm which will be nice.
3dpo.. nothing to report other than I think I might have thrush or cystitis or both. My bladder seems irritated which is making my pelvic floor weak so I'm always desperate for the toilet 😣

buzzmoon · 29/04/2017 21:55

dancing that's so sad! Tis a scary world sometimes. It's tomorrow we're off to wedding venue. Hope you sleep better tonight!

mummy that sucks! Hope you've got some canesten to hand! At least you've ovulated this month so don't need to dtd! You must love your job! Must be so hat and so rewarding at the same time!

charl19 · 29/04/2017 22:40

Sorry just catching up now! Thanks for all the money advice guys!! Think I just have times of going into panic, which I'm sure is normal. Just started a new contract in the school I'm in.. I was originally on supply through the council, and now have a permanent job through the council, but someone said to me yesterday that I would have to be there a year before I could get any type of maternity pay except for SMP... so that sent me into another frenzy of confusion! I've been avoiding dtd with DH since last night, 😂have made myself all nervous! Really torn.. we are so keen to have a family, but just don't know what the right thing to do is now! Sorry to have a downer on you guys!

Grumpy hope your toe is ok, it looks sore! The other pictures look lovely tho!

Welcome haribo and congratulations to you! Fx for a sticky one! Xx

Otters have a great time away- slightly jel!!

Your haircut sounds like a much needed pamper mrsc! I love having my hair done it's just so relaxing!

Buzz same here- just chilled on sofa most of the day it's been lush! Now I've moved from the sofa into bed, haha so rock and roll!!

Hope everyone else is good, it's like reading a book when I catch up!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 29/04/2017 23:55

Mummy isn't thrush a potential sign of pregnancy? Having said that I got it cycle 2 post ov and I wasn't.. but I've heard it can be as hormones change.
Thanks for the toe advice.. I only have paracetamol but it's started feeling a lot better this afternoon. We actually went to yoga this morning (I was super careful to avoid the toe!) and it was unheated vinyasa flow so I'm really happy! It was amazing then we went to the beach (see pic!) for a few hours. Now sitting with an iced coffee in a cool cafe.
*
Charl* that does sound like a big dilemma. Could you survive on SMP or not? Would it be worth waiting a year? How old are you again?

MrsC the new hair sounds lovely. Long bobs are my go-to cut! I love them.

JB1983 · 30/04/2017 09:27

grumpy so jealous of your beach pics!

buzz have fun finalising the wedding

Your hair sounds love mrsc!

That's a shame about what happened at the beer festival dancing. A couple of beers might have helped you sleep too! Fx for a better night tonight.

Hope the thrush/cystitis recovers quickly mummy

charl19 · 30/04/2017 09:59

I'm not sure grumpy I would have to do some proper research into it all.. I'm 25... I know still quite young but it's such a hard decision either way as we are so keen to have a family! Xx

Penguin27 · 30/04/2017 10:52

Glad the toe is feeling a little better grumpy and that you were able to do (and enjoy!) some yoga!

Difficult situation charl, I wonder if you'd find it helpful to speak to someone like Citizens Advice about your finances and what you'd be entitled to when a baby arrives?

Sorry about the thrush/cystitis mummy! I assume when you say you "caught" a baby that means you helped to safely deliver it? Sorry for my ignorance!

I've been out for a run and done a bit of yoga this morning... now I'm going to spend the next few hours in the kitchen, we've got DH's grandparents coming for dinner and I've given myself loads to do. Looking forward to it though!

otters2017 · 30/04/2017 11:23

Ciao from Italy. Finally here after a nightmare journey. This is my view this morning and am typing from these sun loungers! The world feels right again! We had a terrible time going through airport security (saw 2 very young maybe 2-3 year old girls being body searched!! ), our plane had an engine fuel leak so we got thrown off and had to wait for another plane. Had to pay overtime fees for car rental company to stay open for us to collect our car, got horribly lost and finally arrived at our destination about 2 am!! DH says hopefully that's all the bad luck out of the way and we get a BFP!

grumpy beach looks fab and your toe looks sore. Hope it gets better soon.

mrsc new hair do is always great. A nice pampering experience.

seven hope the magic line works. I got some conceive plus for last cycle not sure yet if it's done the trick!

buzz and dancing glad you had relaxing days

mummy hope your cystitis clears up quickly.

penguin well done on the run and yoga!

charl hope you can work something out.

Back to sun bathing and relaxing my mind. Have a good Sunday everyone x

Oh otters nightmare journey but bet it's so worth it now you're on your lounger, in the sun, with such incredible views!! Enjoy! Are you testing whilst you're away??

Sounds like a good day penguin What are you cooking?

Hope your issues clear up soon mummy & potentially a 'symptom' ! My midwife sis is on delivery suite at the mo (they do 6-9 month stints round different wards) she quite often shares her baby catching stories on our whatapp group, particularly if they're usually big or have 'interesting' names!

Your day sounds and looks so fab grumpy very jel!

charl Do you have to work a year in the new job even though your employer is the same?? Is there anyone you could have a quiet word with about it?

Hope your venue finalising goes well buzz

Don't really have a lot of plans today! DH sleeping cos he's on nights. Think i might hook up with a couple of sisters and nephew later! I've got the book of Big Little Lies so might get cracking on that... did anyone watch the series on TV, was so good!

Mummyme87 · 30/04/2017 12:08

Symptom free today or thrush or cystitis thank god.
4dpo.. had some stabbing like pain on left lower abdomen this morning. Too early for implantation pain so probably absolutely bugger all 😂

I finish work at 3pm today, wahoo

DancingUnicorn · 30/04/2017 12:13

Hb I'm about half way through the tv series! Wasn't impressed at first, but definitely getting good now!!

That sounds awful otters! But you're there now, and your dhs viewpoint sounds good to me!

Charl it's tough. Could you try doing a budget assuming you'd be on smp and see if it looks reasonable/possible? Do you know how long you'd want to take off for mat leave? It must be so hard with all the emotions already. I'm very much hoping being pregnant again will help me recover.

Mummy bring on 3!!

Slept for nearly 10 hours last night and feel almost human today. So crazy how much sleep affects things.

Hope everyone has a nice day today. ❤️

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/04/2017 14:48

I'm 8 weeks today and mini bean is the size of a strawberry! Also I can see its tiny hand on Ovia! So excited! Although my "bump" is non existent vs last week's bloating! Still feeling really good. Just off to coffee and breakfast pre yoga. Then we are going to sunbathe on Venice beach after 😎

Otters that journey sounds horrific! Glad you made it ok in the end. Photos look beautiful! Enjoy.

Mummy glad that's cleared up!

Hope everyone is having a nice day x

Seven0fNine · 30/04/2017 15:02

Oooh Grumpy and otters so jealous of your lovely views!

Having a very lazy day here!!!

Wiggleyfingers · 30/04/2017 15:43

Hey everyone! It sounds like everyone is having a lovely relaxing bank holiday.
Otters your view is lovely! How nice to escape for a bit. I'm very jealous!
Grumpy congratulations on your 8 week old strawberry! Breakast and Yoga sounds like a great way to start the day! How long have you been yoga-ing for? I really want to get in with it but we're moving house in a few months so I'm going to look into it in our new area Smile

So me and DP just dtd unprotected for the first time! He did pull out though, so I'm sure it will amount to nothing. But I am on due to ovulate tomorrow! So who knows! I guess we are officially not trying but not preventing! Eek! This was not the plan! Grin

DancingUnicorn · 30/04/2017 15:48

Eek! Wiggley! There's a small chance... I'm assuming you would be happy?

My oh is also being 'good' and pulling out. Secretly hoping for a pre cum baby! ;) (I know it's highly unlikely and no idea when/if I was fertile this month!)

Wiggleyfingers · 30/04/2017 15:57

I would be over the moon! Everything crossed for the pre-cum baby! Grin

Mummyme87 · 30/04/2017 18:18

Urgh. Definitely have a UTI 😟 Symptoms all came back. Drinking water with bicarbonate of soda 🤢 And taken some penicillin I had in from tonsillitis earlier in the year

DancingUnicorn · 30/04/2017 18:22

Oh mummy. I'm sorry, it's horrid. Apparently cranberry juice can help?! (No idea if that's scientific, or just an old wives tale!)

Tigger83 · 30/04/2017 18:42

Evening ladies! Please talk me down from the edge of insanity!! 9dpo took a test this am bfn- as expected..... however I feel the same as I did when pregnant.... wee smells weird, emotional, feeling rolling sickness and starting to get sore boobs and greasy hair. I don't want to get my hopes up as I really don't think I can be but it's making me feel hopeful... also had the tiniest bit of a spot today which would make sense as last time I think I implanted at this time.... I'm scared I'm going to crash if I get bfn Confused

DancingUnicorn · 30/04/2017 18:49

Tigger it's probably too early for anything to show. Really hope you get a bfp when you test, but can understand you not wanting to get your hopes up. Breathe, take just one minute at a time if you need to. Is there anything you can do as a distraction? Film/book?

HeyJupiter · 30/04/2017 18:50

Hi all, urgh have had vomiting bug for last 36 hours but finally feeling a bit better. Relieved really that looks like it was a bug rather than the onset of some dreadful late stage morning sickness. Anyway roll on rest of bank holiday and some recovery time :)

Massive congrats haribo, what wonderful news. How are you feeling?

grumpy how is the toe?

otters hope you're having a fab time. Are you testing tomorrow? So hopeful for you.

seven yay for magic lube! How is the quilt going?

mummy hope you're feeling better. I had thrush the month I conceived so you never know.. really hope this is your month!

charl how stressful! Can you clarify your maternity leave entitlement with work next week? Or would you rather they didn't know you were trying at this stage.

Ohh wiggley fingers crossed for a pre-cum baby!!

Oh Tigger, you must be feeling all over the place. What will be will be my lovely and we're all here whatever happens. Are you going to test again tomorrow?
