Hello hello new shiny thread.

Oh Jupiter I am so delighted to see this update from you - wonderful news Flowers

otters I'm sorry, it's shit. Really hoping another blood test will have better results for you. Maybe not such a bad thing a couple of colleagues know now though? Especially if one has been through IVF and knows the rollercoaster so well.

buzz the sleeping thing must be hard. I sleep on my front so dreading having to retrain myself!

grumpy sounds like the flight wasn't too bad. Have a good trip! Please bring us back some sunshine!!!

orangefolly · 26/04/2017 07:29

Sorry I mean hb with the sleeping thing - still half asleep this morning Wink

Mummyme87 · 26/04/2017 07:31

I got my static smiley on CB OPK Last night and a positive IC 😊 So looks like I'm ovulating today/early tomorrow. I don't seem to have the obvious pains I used to get when I came off the pill which doesn't help pin point it.

otters glad yourGP has agreed to repeating bloods

Mummyme87 · 26/04/2017 07:35

And sleeping thing is more relevant later in pregnancy. I was a back sleeper until about 26weeks when I got a big pillow and started sleeping on my side. There is evidence that sleeping on left side has better outcomes re stillbirth but it's not relevant until end of 2nd trimester when the weight of your uterus on your major blood vessels becomes so heavy they compress and reduce oxygenated blood supply to baby. However, by that point you would know it's a problem as you would feel unwell/faint/dizzy. Don't stress about it, particularly at this stage. Babies are very very protected in there

Seven0fNine · 26/04/2017 07:41

Hello lovelies,

Just a very quick message before work! I was trying to catch up yesterday but couldn't quite make it to the end. I absolutely think you are all the most wonderful and supportive bunch. It's brilliant being part of such a lovely thread.

Jupiter So relieved that everything is OK! Such a cute little one all snuggled up!

Thanks Parsnips for the new thread. I'm sorry I haven't time to update the list over the next few days but if anyone else fancies doing it I would be very appreciative! I think the last one is on page 29 of the last thread and there are quite a few little mistakes/things that need updating on it!

Tigger Fingers Crossed for a speedy BFP! I made a variation of hairy dieters lasagna for tea the other night (leeks for pasta). It was bloody lovely!

I've not seen Bridget Jones' Baby yet but must watch it! Funny you say about the yoga retreat Grumpy...my Sis is in the process of moving to France to do exactly that! DH and I have to help them...think we are road tripping and driving the van down with her DP in August and they are going to pay for us to stay out there for a week on holiday! So that will be Spain with school in July and France for that in August ...all by road....Sad In a way I hope I'm not preggers by then!!!

I have so much more to catch up on! But have to go to work in 20 mins and still in bed so better get moving. Speak to you all later. Have a fab day xx

Penguin27 · 26/04/2017 07:56

Argh Angry I hate my phone!!! Forever deleting my messages mid-type!

We're so lucky to have resident mummy on this thread! Hopefully her advice has given you some reassurance about sleeping positions buzz!

I think I'll be testing with jb and tigger at the end of next week! I'm CD22 today and Ovia has my FW ending tomorrow with AF expected on 9 May. I've had some cramping the last couple of days so I think ov may have happened yesterday? If I test on 4th, that will be CD30 and anywhere between 7-9dpo so hopefully not too early? That's assuming I actually do ovulate, of course...

JB1983 · 26/04/2017 08:55

Eek lots of testing next week! otters are you testing next week too or does it depend on your blood test result?

seven I love the hairy dieters cookbook.

Time to get jiggy with it mummy 😂

Mummyme87 · 26/04/2017 09:00

I think I'm going to test around 6th may if I can hold out that long, that would be based on ovulating tomorrow

buzzmoon · 26/04/2017 09:01

mummy you're amazing! Literally exactly what I wanted to know! Will enjoy my sleep now without worrying and then will deffo look into pillows. Thank you all! Yay to your bfp! Lots of humping in the mummy household today! 🍆

So excited for our testers! Love testing mornings :)

mrs let us know how the asos stuff is!! I'm very excited about buying some bits! :)

JB1983 · 26/04/2017 09:20

Crikey seven its. It until you try to work on the list that you realise how hard it is to keep up with everything. So sorry if there are mistakes. It thought I would try and help you out:

Hump on Hold…

Parastars -

MrsC2017 · 26/04/2017 09:59

Aghh penguin my phone has just done that and I've lost everything I just wrote!! Very annoying!
Anyway.... I Will keep you posted on the asos buys, I got black and regular jeans and wanted a white pair but none in stock in my size so will keep an eye out for them again!
Well done jb on the list! I could maybe have a go at making one of those editable spreadsheets then we could all input and update ourselves, might take the pressure off seven? Let me know and I don't mind having a go at it!
Lots of testing next week, seems ages since we've had a good old test on here!! Can't wait!

charl19 · 26/04/2017 11:02

So exciting for everyone testing next week!! Fx for all of you! 👍🏼🤞🏼

Not sure when am testing, think I am in FW but not paying lots of attention this cycle! I'm really up and down thinking can we afford to have a baby, is this the right time but there's never a right time really is there! We will never be able to afford it really but suppose that shouldn't put me off! Feeling really up and down, so not officially tracking everything just see what happens!

Hope everyone else is ok- love reading all about your days but I find I don't have much spare time to type, I can just manage catching up on everything!!

Congrats Jupiter that photo is lovely!! So excited for you!! 😍 x

Penguin27 · 26/04/2017 11:15

Thanks for the list jb!

Sorry you're feeling a bit confused charl. I'm very much in the same boat. I feel like I'm not earning enough to be able to support our family on PT hours, so ideally I'd like to have a "promotion" before having a baby (no such thing in my company, you always have to apply and complete against 100 others!) I also feel very stuck in my career and think that mat leave then reduced hours isn't going to help that... the thought of me being stuck in this job for longer than another day necessary makes me feel depressed! I was very upset about this last night & I just don't know what to do. Like you say, there's never a right time to have a baby....

youngmummy3105 · 26/04/2017 12:21

In the maternity ward with my mum to discuss her casearean date and seeing all the pregnant woman is making me broody!!xx

TheGrumpySquirrel · 26/04/2017 12:44

Had a terrible first night in California. Stayed up till 7pm (3am uk time) but then struggled to sleep as felt sick and panicky. Had to walk around continuously to deal with it but was so tired. My sister was very sweet and rubbed my back and talked to me but every time I'd get to sleep I'd wake up in a panic shortly afterwards. Almost took a Valium but was too worried about the potential effect on mini bean. Eventually got to sleep at midnight (8am uk) and just woke up (4:30am here). Hope tonight is better, my body just can't deal with jet lag.

Mummyme87 · 26/04/2017 13:03

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish grumpy jet lag is awful
I still haven't got dressed yet and it's 1pm

DancingUnicorn · 26/04/2017 13:38

So sorry grumpy. That sounds like a horrible night. I hate the feeling of waking up in a panic. Really hope the day goes smoothly for you and tonight is better.

I'm having a day of anxiousness. Feeling like this will never happen for me which I know is irrational and also struggling at work. Not concentrating well, and have imminent deadlines. Trying hard to not panic, but feel like I'm simply not cut out for my job right now. Not helped by sleeping really badly for the past couple of weeks.

Charl I'm sorry you're doubting your choices. Finances are not an easy fix, but people can make it work without much. I know that's easier to say. I think it's natural to be up and down too.

I'm sorry you're finding work so difficult penguin. It really sucks.

Sorry for the moan. Feel like crying in a dark room for an hour. No time for that though.

Penguin27 · 26/04/2017 14:15

Sorry you had such a rubbish night grumpy, I hope tonight is better for you.

Aw dancing, I think we should go into a dark room and cry together! I can understand you're worried about when you're going to get a sticky bean, but just try to rationalise it and remind yourself that there's nothing to suggest you have any kind of fertility problem. Trouble concentrating is difficult, the only suggestion I can make is to break it down into small bits and focus on one thing at a time. Tomorrow is a new day Cake

Tigger83 · 26/04/2017 14:49

Hi all, feeling completely overwhelmed by life today. Stressed out about the ttc process and exhausted by the emotional roller coaster. Got such a lot going on in my personal life as well that's taking a lot of juggling.

I just want to fast forward 6 months. I'm trying not to symptom spot but I am and it's stressing me out e.g. Think I feel implantation pains but don't want to get my hopes up and be completely let down.

Struggling at work this week a bit. Locked myself in a booth to try and focus and get away from people as I feel quite emotional.

Mummyme87 · 26/04/2017 15:11

tigger and dancing lots of love to you both... and anyone else that needs a virtual hug. The TTC process is so hard and throws so many emotions, particularly when you have had a loss. Take care of yourselves and take one step/day at a time.

What a truly miserable day it has turned in to, no sleet to speak of in south London.. yet. I've just put DS down for a nap, I really need to shower and get dressed but it feels so hard! Desperate to go and do a big food shop as well. Restarting slimming world tonight as well and truly fell off the wagon and the scales don't look pretty 🙈😐
I was feeling some pelvic twinges I short while ago... could be ovulation 🤞🏻

buzzmoon · 26/04/2017 15:55

Oh grumpy that's shit! Sorry you've had a terrible first night your sister sounds lovely. Do you know what's making you feel panicky? Your photos look amazing though! I am so jealous! I want to like them all but don't want to look like some crazy stalker 😂

dancing that feeling is awful! You said your managers were quite supportive of your mc, can they off load your work a bit just still you're feeling better? Sometimes having a big cry is the best thing ❤️

tigger you've been through so much in the past few weeks I can completely understand. Take some time and don't put any pressure on yourself you'll get through it, just one day at a time ❤️

mummy get your sexy pants on!

Redpony1 · 26/04/2017 16:22

Jupiter yay!!! That's amazing!!

Oh Grumpy i hope you get more sleep tonight Sad

Tigger & Dancing have some virtual hugs Flowers

Seven0fNine · 26/04/2017 17:06

Thanks JB and yes MrsC spreadsheet us! I would but I haven't a clue!

Charl I Deffo can't afford a baby but I know people survive on alot less than us anddddd I just am so broody I can't wait any longer! Mr Seven is hopefully gonna start bringing home many more ££'s shortly and then I can quit work and become a housewife 😂

Sorry you ladies are feeling so low. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts xx

otters2017 · 26/04/2017 17:32

How's everyone doing today? Am feeling much calmer and hopeful today. Just got to keep going no matter what.

mrsc ooh let us know what the maternity wear from asos is like.

hb do let me know what your friend says. I'm intrigued. Even if it's the ic light, it's just on your toenails. Surely can't be harmful.

orange I am glad a few people know as it's so hard to bottle it all up and act normal when some days I just want to sit in a corner and cry. Really helpful that she's been through infertility and treatments and can give advice as well!

mummy hurrah for the static smiley. Go get that egg Wink

penguin hope you ovulate this month. How long are your cycles normally ?

jb yes will probably be testing next week or maybe the week after if blood result is good. Think tigger and penguin and mummy will be testing too

grumpy sorry to hear about your jet lag. Hope you get over it quickly.

dancing sorry you're feeling anxious. Sounds like you, penguin, tigger and I can join you in the dark room to cry. It's so hard isn't it, we do need to be kinder to ourselves ! Sending lots of hugs ❤ and Flowers

charl don't let the finances put you off. It's possible and you're right , there's never really a right time. Life is full of surprises and you just don't know what's round the corner.

jb thanks for the updated list. Will have to update my possible BFP date based on blood results on Friday. mrsc agree with seven spreadsheet us! Smile

HeyJupiter · 26/04/2017 17:53

Yay mummy great news about the static face! It’s ovulation time :) Thanks for the info on sleeping positions too, so helpful having your expert input.

So excited for our testers next week - I love testing mornings the best Grin

Dancing are you home from work now? And if so are you feeling a bit better? I’m so sorry you’ve felt so shocking today. Penguin is right though that there is absolutely no reason why you can’t do this, you know you can get pregnant which is an excellent first step. It will happen for you Flowers The sleep deprivation is going to be compounding all of this too - especially the work stuff. You’ve totally got this! You’ll be okay :)

Tigger so sorry you’re having such a rubbish time too. Your first cycle after what happened is going to stir up so many feelings isn’t it. One day at a time my lovely.

Thanks for putting up the list JB we’ve become a massive group haven’t we. Love it. A spreadsheet would be amazing though MrsC if you can create such magical technology.

Oh charl whenever I sit down and think about finances I feel the same. The thing is I know that somehow we will cope and adapt. There are a surprising number of areas in our life that we could definitely cut down on cost wise (from mobile phones, to netflix, to even just being more careful about not wasting food) so maybe you’re the same? I know it’s so stressful though Flowers

Penguin so sorry you’re feeling stuck at work. that is the most frustrating position to be in. I wonder whether when you have a baby it might matter a bit less? At least for a little while. It’s so hard though.

grumpy how is the anxiety today? That degree of jet lag must be awful.

otters really pleased you’re feeling better today. The blood test result you had means very little in terms of your cycle so roll on Friday and a re-test :)

orange where are you at cycle wise at the moment?

Big virtual hug to all those that need it today xx
