I can definitely see on on the first pic haribo - tentative congrats! Re-try in a few days maybe :) yay!

Penguin27 · 28/04/2017 07:36

Hi haribo, that is a definite squinter! Try again tomorrow, fx!

That's great news about the scan dates jupiter! Glad that it came the day you go on holiday, rather than the day after haha. So excited for you Smile

I hadn't heard of NCT classes but Google says they're a charitable antenatal class? I would definitely be up for going to as many support groups as I can fit in haha Grin

It's Friday and almost a long weekend! What's everyone got planned?

Seven0fNine · 28/04/2017 07:36

oooh Haribo Welcome and that looks very promising!!!

I remember when they were Opal Fruits too and imo they tasted better. Massive craving now!!!

Off to a conference today. Should be quite easy although I think my boss has put me down to present...after I told her I didn't want to. Haven't prepared anything anyway!! Will take some emergency bits and laptop just in case!

Yay it's Friday again...Going to walk up Snowdon this weekend hopefully!

Penguin27 · 28/04/2017 07:36

And hope you're feeling better after a good night's sleep Hb

Penguin27 · 28/04/2017 07:53

Argh sorry I nearly forgot, good luck with your blood test today otters! Fx for you x

HbH · 28/04/2017 07:55

Ha! I had the worst nights sleep actually!! DH was snoring and making all sorts of other weird noises 🙄
I spent some time googling jobs i can do from home & scouring ebay for things i need!

Hope it's good news Haribo (I'm terrible at seeing squinters) but I trust these gal's experience!

Wow seven good luck with the conference & snowdon!! Pretty epic!

I'm meant to be driving a four hour round trip on sat night to go to my bestie's mum's 60th (alone - DH on nights) think i might have to pull the preggo card... really not feeling up to it! We're doing a taco night for our friends monday tho 👍🏽 (This doesn't beat climbing a mountain tho...)

HbH · 28/04/2017 07:56

Yes, good luck otters Hope the results are speedy!

otters2017 · 28/04/2017 08:09

Morning all

Welcome haribo I'm rubbish with lines but looks like it's tentative congratulations! Fx

jupiter so excited that you got your scan date whoop whoop

seven good luck with your conference. Yay friday and enjoy snowdon.

mrsc jb jupiter hb penguin thanks for thinking of me today. Barely slept last night. Hope I can get the result today and also hope that it will be good. Will bear in mind that the timing is not quite right but as long as it's more than Monday's result I'll be happy. Will keep you posted.

Have a good day everyone!

Mummyme87 · 28/04/2017 08:34

haribo definitely see lines on first pic. Congratulations 😀

I did NCT first time round, not because I needed to learn about giving birth or a newborn but to be a normal pregnant woman and not a midwife, also to meet women in the same situation as me. Other mums are invaluable in the first year, my NCT friends saved me. I had a really rough first year without DS, he never slept... 45min stints at night and then took hours to get back to sleep... I was like a walking zombie. I probably had PND as well but I never went to a doctor or discussed with anyone, HEalth visitor never asked how I was or how I coped with a baby who literally never bloody slept ever Even though I was at clinic every week for the first 6months (alarm bells). My NCT friends were always there and I could sit with them and not have to talk , they would entertain DD for me.. even offered to let me go and sleep for a couple of hours. Having friends with babies just isn't always enough, having someone in the same situation at the same time is important. NCT is very airy fairy and can be very closed to the fact that not everyone has the perfect labour and birth without drugs, followed by breastfeeding with no issues.. it's very dependent on your teacher though. Mine was great.. very much here is the information and evidence, you make the decision. They are expensive though, I paid about £260 I think for 6 sessions. Nhs classes are a mixed bag... some great some crap, but more able to tell you facts about what happens in your unit and the possibilities of what could happen. We get a lot of women who get angry because 'this isn't how NCT said it would happen'.

Sorry that was a long old story in the end 😂 I will probably do an NCT refresher course or something this time round to meet people again

2dpo and I'm not symptom spotting 😐

buzzmoon · 28/04/2017 09:49

mummy wow sounds like you had a tough time with DS! I hope your next one isn't and sleeps well!

hb sorry you didn't sleep well :( I'm so looking forward to getting home and having a massive lie in tomorrow and just lazing all day :)

jupes so excited for you!! Yayay! Bring on 15th May!! Only 2 weeks actually isn't it! :) xx

HbH · 28/04/2017 14:41

Ah thanks for the essay mummy !! Very helpful, & pretty much what I'd sussed NCT out to be, so good to have confirmation! Sorry you had a rough time when DS was a wee one, hope you get a better sleeper this time! Can't decide whether having a second is a better position cos you have knowledge or first cos you have ignorant bliss😂

Redpony1 · 28/04/2017 15:09

I had good progress on my OPK yesterday, did it slightly later than i used to so going to try again later!

That spreadsheet is fab MrsC thank you!! Have completed my details Smile

Long weekend ahead, yey!!

HbH · 28/04/2017 15:13

Did you decide to go for it this month Red ?

otters2017 · 28/04/2017 15:45

Been really nervous and anxious all day. Finally got my progesterone result and it's 21 which is a little better but not as much as I'd hoped. Trying to keep positive. Maybe if I tested on bank holiday mon as I should have done it would be >30. One can hope! Looks like it's a matter of being patient and waiting which I'm terrible at! Argh! Possibly another week or more of waiting!

Mummyme87 · 28/04/2017 15:49

otters that's a good improvement on your bloods. And everyday matters.. you're 3 days early so I could imagine by Monday you would be around 30.

I have been getting EWCM today... but negative OPK for two days. Random

JB1983 · 28/04/2017 16:17

otters sounds like if you had your appointment on the right day the levels would have increased more. Fx for you.
I'm halfway in to the TWW and growing really impatient, why does time go so slow during the wait!

mummy wow that sounds tough when DS was young.

haribo excited to see a retest

otters2017 · 28/04/2017 16:23

Thanks mummy really hope it's a good sign. What cd are you?

jb time goes super slow in the 2WW. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself. Really really hope that I ovulated and caught the egg.

haribo are you testing again tomorrow?
We need more bfps on this thread !

buzzmoon · 28/04/2017 17:33

It's Friday wooooo!! 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

What's everyone got planned for the bank holiday weekend?! :) xx

HeyJupiter · 28/04/2017 17:48

Thanks Penguin, buzz and otters I actually spoke to them today and they’ve put it forward to Friday May 12th so in exactly two weeks time. It’s better than the following monday in regards to our holiday so really appreciate them being kind enough to move it. Still glad we have the private scan this week though as a fortnight would seem unbearably long having not had it… and now we can relax a bit it doesn’t seem like any time at all.

Aghh seven did you have to present in the end? Am impressed at how calm you seemed, I would have been terrified :)

Definitely pull the preggo card Hb that sounds exhausting! Really hope you get a better nights sleep tonight lovely.

mummy thank you for the NCT info, that’s really helpful. I’m definitely going to look into it closer to the time.

otters that seems much better and could easily be higher in a few days as mummy said. You know you ovulated late so that would all make sense. This could be the month. Really really hoping it is for you :)

Yay for the bank holiday, seeing family this weekend for a birthday gathering (not mine) and then hanging out with DH for the rest of the time. What are you guys all up to? x

youngmummy3105 · 28/04/2017 17:49

Hi all, AF finished this morning so now to wait for ovulation day! X

JB1983 · 28/04/2017 17:59

Ditto Jupiter I'm also at family birthday celebrations this weekend. Hoping the distraction of a busy weekend will stop me symptom spotting or poas far too early 😂

Good luck for this cycle young

Wiggleyfingers · 28/04/2017 18:11

Excited for all the testers this week!
I'm sure this is a silly question - but does anyone know why people put their rings around pregnancy tests? Is there a reason that I'm missing?!

buzzmoon · 28/04/2017 18:18

jupiter that's really exciting!! Mines on the 9th so that will be a great week! :)

wiggly I think it's supposed to focus the camera on the centre of it but I don't think it does!

2ww-ers, have you all got internet cheapies?? :)

I'm finally home after my week away and so glad to be! Ordered a Chinese and catching up on one born and the mummy diaries! Got a lazy day tomorrow then final checks of wedding venue on Sunday! Exciting! :)

youngmummy3105 · 28/04/2017 18:50

Thank you JB I am using agnus castus this cycle to see if that helps as well x

JB1983 · 28/04/2017 19:02

I have a variety of different tests stocked up buzz 😂. How long is to your wedding now? We have also just ordered a Chinese and plan to have a wee movie night.

That's exciting that we have two 12 week scans in the same week buzz and jupiter

Yeah wiggley I think it's meant to help with focusing.
