buzz I will bypass the GP and self refer with our receptionist on delivery suite. She is about to go on mat leave and won't tell anyone at work although naturally it creeps out. Last time I was still officially living with a friend in a rental, we were in the process of moving out and I was moving in with OH. My friend said she had heard I was pregnant 🙄 It's fine, I'm around the right group of people if they find out, I just wouldn't outwardly say anything yet. I have told one friend who I work with, the friend who got pregnant last month and I was upset about

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 09:02

jupiter I'm worried about that too! I hope my boss doesn't say he doesn't think I can do my job part time 🤔 what do you want to drop yours to? I would love to do tues-thurs maybe 26 hours. What do you do btw? I'm sure I know but can't remember! Very jealous about your weight loss! Although sucks that it's due to nausea! Yes, literally wishing this whole day away, counting down the hours! 9am tomorrow 🎉🎉🎉

orangefolly · 08/05/2017 09:20

OMG was just in boots buying some more FRERs and bumped into someone in my team in the queue. She did a double take then tactfully pretended she hadn't seen me Blush

Wonderful news penguin - congratulations! What a lucky week for BFPs.

grumpy I'm so sorry to hear about your sister's friend Flowers

buzz and jupiter I have been thinking about going back part time too

HeyJupiter · 08/05/2017 09:21

I'd like to do 3x8hr days. I'm a community nurse but only one in my sector doing my particular job so worried I won't be allowed either! Remind me what you do again too? I'm sure I know :) I think they have to show a degree of flexibility and be seen to be family friendly. Wow so excited for you tomorrow!

grumpy thank you, that's really important to bear in mind :)

HeyJupiter · 08/05/2017 09:22

Ahh orange, I'm glad they were tactful... oh well :) FRER later this week?

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2017 09:34

Ahh orange I'm glad you colleague tactfully pretended not to see you 🙈

I would like to go back on less hours. I dropped from 37.5/wk to 34.5/wk first time round, this time I would maybe like to drop to 30.5/wk which would be 2 long shifts and a short shift... will have to assess the finances. I didn't want to drop too much first time as I didn't feel there would be much room to drop with future children. Plus we needed to buy a house so needed the pay for mortgage application.

Question... what do I do about pre conception supplements? So I will continue folic acid, aspirin (I'll stop at 12weeks with both) vitamin d and vitamin b complex. I also take selenium, vit c and zinc. I'll continue for a few weeks but should I continue the extra stuff until 12weeks? They won't do any harm I guess... I don't like pregnacare as made me sick last time and full of lots of extra stuff.

Tigger83 · 08/05/2017 09:35

Well swam 400m before work so polishing my halo! Been mostly good all weekend and weigh in on Friday it's nice to have something else to focus on to be honest. We've got our engagement shoot in August so preggers or not I'd like to shift weight by then Smile

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 09:53

Haha orange!! Glad they tactful!

Oh jupiter I'm sure that'll be fine! The NHS is pretty flexible isn't it? I'm a PA in the civil service, so luckily a very flexible organisation so even if I can't continue my current job, I can do something similar. But I'm pretty sure I could do my job part time, easy. As long as I had someone who I could rely on for the other days 🤔

mummy that sounds good, I'm worried about finances too with childcare and everything 😔 it's so tough! Are you supposed to stop folic acid after 12 weeks? I've got loads of pregnancy vitamins left as they were on offer 🤔 the silver sea pregnancy ones, should I keep taking them?

Wow tigger I'm so impressed! Have you got a weight loss target?

HeyJupiter · 08/05/2017 09:54

mummy I've been taking higher dose folic acid, vit D, vit C and zinc since before my bfp. My midwife recommended I switch to pregnacare after 12 weeks... don't want it to make me sick though! I would carry on as you are until 12 weeks, can't do any harm?

HeyJupiter · 08/05/2017 09:55

Tigger well done! That's brilliant :) Such a nice thing to focus on too.

buzz luckily sounds like we're both in flexible organisations.. they will just have to make do with what we request right? :)

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2017 10:04

buzz you don't need folic acid after 12weeks as it is to reduce the risk of neural tube defects which would form by 12weeks. There is folic acid added to a lot of foods already and some evidence to suggest high amounts of folic acid increase the risk of a tongue tie which can cause a lot of feeding issues.
I've had a quick google and selenium is good to keep taking up to 12weeks as can reduce risk of low birth weight, miscarriage and pregnancy term birth. I'll probably continue them all until 12weeks and drop to b12 complex and vit d only.

tigger that swim is immense, well done! And good to have your positivity 😊

Penguin27 · 08/05/2017 10:31

Thanks everyone for your excitement on my behalf ❤️

Sorry for all the ladies who didn't sleep well, I hope the day isn't too long and tiring for you!

Well done on your swim this morning tigger.

Orange, I was so para about the same thing when I bought my digi in boots this morning! Glad the colleague was tactful!!

I've been wondering about antenatal vitamins too. I've been taking cheap Tesco ones for pre-conception, I guess they'll be ok to take for another couple of weeks until I run out? I saw an advert for pregnacare on the tube today then had a little look in Holland & Barratt.... but I don't really know how to choose 🙈

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 08/05/2017 11:13

grumpy!! I love this baby pics app! So cute! Literally getting nothing done now!!

Orange - bless you! Good job she pretended not to see you. The things we have to do!

Tigger - what are you planning for your engagement shoot? We did our in Dublin's temple bar - it was so much fun. More of a pre wedding shoot than engagement but was great. Are you using your wedding photographer?

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 12:16

Oh thanks mummy I will stop taking it! What would I do without you lot!

penguin to be fair, just check the contents, even the cheap ones have the same stuff in! It's just the brand I think

parsnips/tigger my DP is like Chandler from friends and the most unphotogenic person you'll ever meet it's ridiculous. I'm dreading our wedding photos 😂😂 I think I'll just cut him out and our album will just be pictures of me lol

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 12:16

Not that I'm any better mind!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 08/05/2017 12:34

I loooove this app!!!

Aww I'm sure youre wedding pics will be stunning! Don't worry love 👰🏻

parsnips I love it!!

Tigger83 · 08/05/2017 12:47

Buzz my overall goal would be 3 stone (think that might be too much) but want to get to an 8/10 for the wedding currently prob size 12/14 but that depends on if a small person makes an appearance. I'd like to be a stone and a half down by August which I think is doable (?!)

Parsnips we're having our reception in a tipi in a forest so think we're going to have our engagement one done in the forest too- might use them as save the dates.

I'm really trying with the positivity this process should be fun but so far it hasn't been so that's my mission to make ttc fun and to have other things to focus on to try and get rid of the stress.

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 13:07

tigger I lost 2 stone in 3 months on slimming world going from a 16 to a 12, so it's totally doable! You'll look amazing!
Can't remember where you are location wise but the lavender fields in Hitchin are beautiful! We're having sunflowers and lavender as our flowers for the wedding so would have loved to have a shoot there. Going to do a baby one there next year I hope :)

Well this positivity thing is working so far af has arrived so popped into Superdrug to pick up sanitary stuff and a cb digital reduced from £29.99 to £3 due to damaged packaging! Buzz that's stunning!

DancingUnicorn · 08/05/2017 13:26

Woo, bargain Tigger.

I'm in such a bad mood today. Lacking any kind of patience... feel a bit sorry for the people I'm supervising at work. :s I need to try to get your positive outlook, Tigger!

Jupiter I hope you are getting lots of rest today. Don't feel guilty about phoning in, it's important you look after yourself.

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2017 13:36

trigger what a bargain!

I've joined instagram 🙊

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 14:17

Ooh yay mummy dm us if you're happy to share info! :)

tigger what a bargain!!

dancing I feel you! Mondays are shit! I'm ready to go home now, had enough of people. Was on the phone earlier and a group of people decided to have a really loud essentially a meeting behind me and I wanted to punch them all, like dominoes would have been brill!

Penguin27 · 08/05/2017 14:58

That picture is too cute parsnips!

Loving the positivity tigger and what a bargain! Sorry AF is here... onto the next cycle Smile

Those lavender fields are beautiful! Love the idea of an engagement shoot somewhere romantic like that.

Sorry you're having a rubbish day dancing!
