Morning ladies. CD34 today. I've had a bit of spotting the last couple of days, which is the same as pre-af last cycle. Went to bed with stomach cramps and backache, fully expecting to wake up to af, but nothing was there. So I did an IC just because I can...

I think I'm having a baby!

Wow penguin! That's definitely your BFP!! Congratulations! On an IC as well 🤗 What a week!

I was having the most weird vivid dreams last night which resulted in me being very restless all night.

Seven0fNine · 08/05/2017 07:05

Whooooooo!! Yay Penguin!! What a brilliant line! Congratulations!

Tigger83 · 08/05/2017 07:07

Penguin congratulations!! A lovely clear positive.

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 07:17

Wow penguin what a great line on an IC!! Congrats!! What a great week! So exciting!! When will be your EDD? Have you told DP?? :)

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 07:18

Also, How are you feeling penguin ?

DancingUnicorn · 08/05/2017 07:27

Argh!! Congratulations penguin!! Really incredible week!! :D

JB1983 · 08/05/2017 07:40

Amazing penguin that's a cracker of a line on a internet cheapie. Congratulations, so happy for you!! How do you feel?

Tigger sounds like next cycle
would be the perfect cycle for you guys.

Penguin27 · 08/05/2017 07:42

Omg I can't stop shaking!! I woke DH up to tell him, he's so happy Grin I was doing this weird laughing cry thing, he probably thinks I'm mental haha. DH wants me to test on a FRER tomorrow before I call the dr, I don't think he trusts the IC but I'm not complaining! I'm most excited about finally reading my "what to expect" book and getting a Baby on Board badge haha! I feel a little bit sick, but I think that's just because of my excitement and anxiety. According to Ovia Pregnancy (yes, I already upgraded!) my EDD is 10 Jan and I'm 4+5 Grin

Love those bump pics grumpy and your very organised list of jobs. I hope you hear some positive news today about your sister's friend Flowers

Sorry I did catch up from yesterday but I seem to have forgotten it all, my brain is a bit over-excited haha!

HbH · 08/05/2017 07:43

Aaaaaaahh congrats Penguin amazing news!

You've totally earnt yourself a digi after slogging away with those ICs!

Worst nights sleep here too mummy ☹️
& working from 9.30-20.30 Woe. Is. Me!

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2017 07:49

Totally go in for a digital test penguin your HCG must be nice and high to get such a lovely pink line on an IC. Mine was faint as anything yesterday morning and got a 'pregnant' on a CB.
A very busy week in the baby challenge thread

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 07:54

hb that's the longest day!! Hope you have big breaks in between!

Can't believe it's Monday already 😔 bought a Fitbit yesterday though! Trying to motivate to be more active!

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 07:55

penguin so excited for you and DH! Deffo get a digital!

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2017 08:05

buzz I have a Fitbit as well... somewhere. Hoping to get back on it now. I also need to be on it for losing weight now. With DS I didn't gain weight until about 18weeks then I piled it on afterwards. This time I want to lose some more weight in the first trimester if I can

HeyJupiter · 08/05/2017 08:15

Yaaay penguin, massive congratulations!!! Is that 4 bfps in one week?! So happy for you my lovely, you must be feeling so many things right now!! Can't wait to see your FRER or digital tomorrow Grin

Dreadful night here too ladies - awake from 2-6am. Have actually (for once in my life) called in sick. Feeling incredibly guilty but have banging headache etc. Sorry others feeling rough too - hope the day passes quickly.

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2017 08:27

I did another Test today to make sure! Was a first response one but not the early result... the sensitivity is the same as CB. Pleased to see matching lines 😀😊

Ah jupiter hope you don't suffer from the insomnia too much. I had that last time but later on in pregnancy. It's bloody horrible.

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 08:32

Oh jupiter sorry you had such a shit night! Definitely the right thing to do, you need to rest! Don't feel guilty!

mummy I've done terribly at not putting on weight in first trimester :( oops! I've been so lazy and inactive I really need to try hard for the next few months otherwise I fear I will become a big fat lump! Very exciting lines! It's really real now! Are you going to call gp? :) do you live in the same area as you work? So they'll find out? Exciting! X

HeyJupiter · 08/05/2017 08:36

What lovely lines mummy, so reassuring. Have you got your head around being pregnant yet?! :)

Am hoping last night was a one off. My mind was racing, panicking about telling my boss that I'm pregnant and her refusing to let me work part time when I'm back from maternity leave. Hopefully all totally irrational but feels pretty massive and scary at 2am!

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 08:39

jupiter I totally get you! I was panicking yesterday that I wouldn't be allowed to take all my Mat leave! Can they do that? I don't know but was freaking out that id have to go straight back to work :(

TheGrumpySquirrel · 08/05/2017 08:40

Penguin massive congrats that is amazing! We are such a lucky group.

Mummy glad the lines are getting stronger!

Jupiter sorry about the rubbish night, hope you get to rest today.

Buzz I haven't put on weight yet but I've been eating much more since regaining my appetite about a week ago! 3 weeks till I can go back to hot yoga, I can't wait!

I've been beaten by jet lag and woke up at 7:30 (didn't hear my 6am alarm) totally missing my 8am deep tissue massage (it's at my work gym). Ah well at least it wasn't an important meeting.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 08/05/2017 08:45

Congratulations penguin! Amazing news! Your due date is the day before me! Def get a digi - you should get a nice reassuring 1-2 weeks at least.

Great lines mummy! I am also trying to lose a little weight in the first trimester. I want to hold off telling work until after our pay reviews in July so I'll be around 14 weeks by then. Otherwise I don't think they'll give me a pay rise as my mat pay will increase. Hoping to hide it until then. I don't want to pile the weight on if I can help it.

Thanks guys.. and buzz, sorry you're worrying about it too. We're entitled to a year off so they can't force you to come back. I'm more worried about my boss not authorising my part time hours request (not that I will complete that until much further along!) or being difficult about it. She's a bit of a sugar-coated psychopath and I don't trust her one bit.

mummy and parsnips I've lost a few lbs in first trimester naturally because of the nausea. I can see that changing pretty soon though..

grumpy loved your bump pictures by the way! I could have done one last night but would have had to label it "11 weeks and full of lasagne" Grin hope the jet lag doesn't make today hard x

HeyJupiter · 08/05/2017 08:55

Also buzz it's your scan tomorrow right??! Yay!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 08/05/2017 08:58

Remember what the law says - up to 26 weeks mat leave and you are entitled to your exact role back. More than that and they can move you to an "equivalent" role. Don't want to scare anyone but just be aware of that.
