Woohoo our mortgage offer is sorted too which is a complete result wanted to release some equity for some home improvements etc while interest rates are good so put a high valuation on the house and it worked!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 08/05/2017 17:25

Absolute stress head today at work rushing around and had to leave early to get to the dentist so my boss was not too impressed given I've been out of office travelling for basically the last two weeks ... although I will log in later & probably have to work till midnight then pack for my next trip tomorrow night 🙄

Annoyed with DH who is never contactable at work even after 5pm - in the meantime between my 6 meetings today I've got 2 car quotes and arranged the stove installation! I wish he could just quit already but we probably should take advantage of his SPL pay. Why can men just concentrate on their work while I do everything else even though I earn 3x what he does?

He is getting better at picking stuff up to be fair when I'm travelling because he has to but ARGH

TheGrumpySquirrel · 08/05/2017 17:28

Congratulations on the remortgage tigger that's great news. What are you getting done to the house?

Mummy has it sunk in you are pregnant yet? Are you happy? I was so freaked out for the first few weeks lol!

Buzz Mondays are truly grim. I think I'm getting a sore throat from all the air travel too 🤧

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 17:35

Yay tigger what brilliant news! Hope bfp comes next months and everything falls into place!

HeyJupiter · 08/05/2017 17:47

Tigger awesome about the mortgage! That’s so exciting :) What home improvements are you planning? So hope you get your BFP this month, sounds like it would be perfect timing.

Such a busy day grumpy, you poor thing. Hope you get some time to rest this evening.

Feeling much more rested after a day being looked after by my mum and dad. Have decided to tell my boss on Wednesday (wish me luck). Not ideal as wanted to tell her after the scan but also want it all sorted before we go on holiday AND want today’s day off to be down as ‘pregnancy related’ so won’t go on my permanent record or count towards the ‘sickness occasions’ tally that they use in the NHS. It’s better she knows either way so I don’t have to worry about it anymore. Feeling calmer now I’ve made that decision.

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2017 17:49

trigger fab news on the mortgage offer. Always a massive relief!
grumpy sounds like a stressful return to work, and I know what you mean about men and not being able to multitask particularly at work. It hasn't quite sunk in that I'm pregnant, I keep looking at the tests in shock.
Reassuringly I have no signs of AF for tomorrow, just lots of white CM, normally I would be getting brown discharge by now

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 18:14

Haha mummy I kept my tests by the sink in the loo just so I could look at them every time and remind myself that it was actually happening!

grumpy sounds very stressful! But sounds like you're superwoman too! Men are useless I don't know how they cope without us!

jupiter that's really exciting, and I'm positive that she'll be delighted for you and absolutely fine about it!

DancingUnicorn · 08/05/2017 18:16

Afternoon was a lot better thankfully, and not meeting friends for dinner. Would have had my next mw appt this morning, so think that was playing on my mind.

Tigger that's great news about the mortgage. Nice to be able to plan things for the house. I'd love a new bathroom. Oh seems not so bothered.

So sorry it ended up being a busy stressful day grumpy. Sucks when you've been away, even when it is away for work! And my oh is the same- he'll happily do things if I ask/make a list. I'm like, how can you not realise these things need doing?! Lol.

Jupiter I'm glad you've made a decision about work. I was so much more relaxed after I'd told my boss. Made a huge difference to my state of mind! Hope you get the same. Hope you're feeling better now and get decent sleep tonight!

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 18:36

Glad your afternoon was better dancing that must be the shittiest thing ever :( so sorry :( Flowers

confusedat23 · 08/05/2017 19:26

Yay Penguin so happy for you! (i might have already said that but baby brain is too much!)

Sorry today was shitty Dancing Flowers

So glad ur mortgage offer went through Tigger home improvements are so bloody hard to afford if you can't do things like that!

Buzz i'm so glad it isn't just me that has a massive stash of BFP's in the bathroom cabinet lol

I get what you mean Grumpy and how can your boss be annoyed if you are travelling for work?

I've got my 16 week appointment tomorrow so I have spent the day researching different trusts policies on managing PAPP-A of 0.31... i'm taking my mum in with me too as she is good at asking questions the only thing i'm nervous about is if they want me to have Amnio/CVS as i really don't want it and Harmony is £400 at our trust so we arn't doing that!

Seven0fNine · 08/05/2017 19:26

Hope you're OK dancing these thing are bound to play on your mind. Keep going lovely xxx

I'm gutted I'm out of data until next week, so unable to read along during the day! Argggh!!

Jupiter glad you are feeling better and come to a decision about telling your boss. Think it will put your mind at ease. Nothing worse than worrying in the middle of the night xxx

Grumpy my dh is exactly the same. He has been off all day yet I came home and cleaned the minging bathroom and hoovered the hall! Although he's done all the stuff on his list! We can't even get mad at them tho as there has been scientific studies and men just don't notice things the same as girls. It's annoying! Haha!

JB1983 · 08/05/2017 19:29

tigger snap! We are just looking in to releasing equity on our home to do a side extension. I really want a downstairs wc and utility room before baby.

Glad your feeling more rested Jupes, I'm sure telling work will feel like a big weight off.

Wow grumpy that sounds a super busy day. I don't know how you do it.

Love that photo parsnips, is it the same app grumpy has?

In the spirit of things DH and i are just about to watch 'what to expect when your expecting' 😂.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 08/05/2017 20:31

Oh grumpy I'm sure you're running around like a headless chicken! Your boss sounds very demanding! As for your DH, well they're just rubbish at multitasking! But I'm sure it gets frustrating after a while!

Mine is also annoying - last night I made dinner and prepped tonight's dinner so we could have it ready and just heat it up after work. It was one of those chicken jobbies that you put in the bag in the oven. Anyway I asked him to set the timer for 40 mins. And then after 40 mins he went over to the oven and turned the timer off. An hour and a half or so passes and I smell burning so I asked him 'please tell me you took the chicken out of the oven when you stopped the timer' - course he only went and left the bloody oven on the whole time. It was like charcoal!

They're useless!!

Exciting that your telling work Jupiter. Hope it goes well!

Great news about the mortgage tigger.

Yes JB - same app Grumpy recommended. It has loads of great text you can use for pregnancy and when baby is here! Thanks again for sharing Grumpy ❤️

buzzmoon · 08/05/2017 20:41

Oh no parsnips!!! I'd be fuming! Did you get a takeaway instead?

HbH · 08/05/2017 21:06

Evening Girls!

I survived my full on day, but I've been the grumpiest cow ever! Just got back and had crumpets for dinner cos it requires no brain power!

Fx for good sleep tonight (for everyone!)... it really makes the world of difference!

Just zoning out in front of masterchef!

Seven0fNine · 08/05/2017 21:17

Oooh I love crumpets. What did you have on them?! Well done for surviving the day, that is an awful long time to be on your feet lovely. Rest now my lovely xx

Lol parsnips gutted for you! Did you eat it anyway?

Jb isn't that a book? I want to watch!

confused as if you are 16 weeks?! Time is flying ridiculously quick x

Mummyme87 · 08/05/2017 21:45

I am exhausted. I've been falling asleep upright on the sofa since 8.45 until eventually I've gone to bed.

FX we all sleep better tonight

HbH · 08/05/2017 21:51

I had boiled eggs on them seven, but also enjoy feta, boursin, grated cheddar, goats cheese (basically all the cheese) or honey for a sweet alternative! I clearly eat too many crumpets! Hope you got an alternative dinner sorted Parsnips does Dubai have Dominos?! 🍕

Having a nice decompress now! Am definitely a bit worried about the later months with my job... have been looking to see if there's anything i can do from home, even for just one day a week to take the edge off! It all just seems to be shady looking telemarketing & filling in surveys though!

HbH · 08/05/2017 21:52

Did you Ov yet Seven or are you still sans OPKs?!

Wiggleyfingers · 08/05/2017 22:15

Congratulations on the mortgage Tigger!
Orange are you retesting tomorrow?
So today my vision completely tilted and I put my hands on the table to steady myself and put one straight in my lunch! So embarrassing! Very lucky I was sitting down or I think I would have gone. I had another dizzy spell in the afternoon but luckily I felt it coming before it got too bad that time. Still pondering if I'll get a BFP on Thursday, I'm counting down the hours until I will know for sure!

orangefolly · 08/05/2017 22:17

Hb bloody love crumpets. I like a bit of marmite on them, which I know is controversial! Grin

Glad you are feeling better jupiter good luck with the boss. You will def feel better when it is done!

tigger great about the day of positivity. Swimming is so great. I was going to go to the pool too today, must try for later in the week.

parsnips oh no that is particularly literal of your DH to just turn the timer off! My DH is really good, but cannot deviate from recipes / instructions, so if it says cook it for half an hour he will not check it until exactly 30 minutes have passed even if you can smell burning.

dancing sorry was a rough day. Hope tomorrow is better.

mummy Early night sounds very wise

confused good luck with the appointment tomorrow!

DancingUnicorn · 08/05/2017 22:38

Orange also love marmite on them!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 09/05/2017 04:57

Oh wiggley that sounds promising!

No take away - I just made something else. I'm trying to make more healthy choices so I don't balloon out if possible. Been drinking lots of water. Made a lovely cucumber and strawberry infusion and just been sipping that all day.

For those of you who had sickness - when did it start? All the guidance seems to suggest around 6 weeks if it's going to kick in. I will be right slap bang in my away day then!

Ps orange that made me laugh. My DH would definitely do that too. He also does annoying things like says he has put the rice on to boil or whatever and then when I look the hob is on 2 or something - I'm like err it's not going to boil anytime soon on low heat!

A few years ago we were shortlisted to be on couples come dine with me but we didn't get picked. Probably just as well. I'm sure I would've murdered him and looked like an absolute dragon on TV!
