Have been thinking about the babies room today - it's blue and white at the moment and DH is going to paint a cloud mural on the chimney breast later this year. In terms of what we need we already have a rocking chair and a chest of drawers up there. What else do we need apart from a cot, and a changing station? We're going to have a moses basket or snuz-pod in our bedroom to start of course. God all these things...

Jupiter to make my list i just went on Mothercare and went through every section and wrote down what i wanted... it at least gave me an idea of everything there is out there!

So had a bfn yesterday and af showed today. Totally mixed feelings! Bit gutted as we've decided to wait a little bit longer cos of maternity pay but we both really want a baby! So up and down ts so annoying!! Xx

Charl I'm so sorry for bfn. Can totally understand that it's especially hard now you've decided to wait. Waiting when it's something you both really want is hard. I know we waited for what felt like forever before we started trying. And sadly, once we've decided something my oh is very good at sticking to the plan (whereas I would totally have not bothered with half the condoms!)

Dancing totally get you!! I suggested it and then I'm like awww shall we just not bother.. and we're both a bit all over the place😂 it probably is better in the long run tbh, we both know that, and what's a couple more months really... I've worked out maybe we can start trying august-September and anything from then would be fine taking me up to a year in April!

Still trying to convince myself that there's a chance I could be pregnant from our little unprotected session. Keep swinging between convinced it has worked to giving myself a sharp kick back into the real world and a stern talking to. I've decided to test on Thursday as I'll be 10DPO. I can't wait any longer than that!
I may need to admit myself into some kind of rehab if AF shows as I have had the most intense cramping today and if I'm not pregnant then I've imagined it all!

DH came so we did a digital together. He is very excited, even with a hangover 😂.

Char sorry about BFN but it sounds sensible to just wait a few more months if it makes a. If differnece financially. We had a 6 month break before trying again and it did go quite quick but I understand the frustration at stopping once you had made the decision to start trying.

Sorry about the bfn charl, must be so many mixed emotions. Sounds like you’ve made a really sensible choice in regards to delaying it but I know that doesn’t take away the emotions and the yearning for a baby. We were in a similar place a year ago and in the end I’m glad we waited (as difficult as it was) because it means we can relax a lot more about things financially now I am pregnant. It’s still going to be tight but much more manageable. Thinking of you.

Literally can’t believe its Monday again tomorrow, where did the weekend go? We’re watching Harry Potter this evening and eating lasagne though so all is well in the Jupiter household.

Jupiter Harry Potter and lasagne sounds like my perfect evening!! On Friday night we watched Forrest Gump with Fajitas and that was great too!

Thanks all I am ok - sister is still with her friend in Paris but she will probably go and stay with our mum for a bit when she gets back. I can't believe it, such a waste of life.

On happier subjects, I've been messing around with the baby pics app. I've been taking bump selfies since 7 weeks but it varies so much with the level of bloating or not!

Jupiter am jealous of your baby room! We don't have room for a baby 🙈 i am trying to declutter but getting suspicious that DH is actually a hoarder!

In the spirit of getting ready for baby, this is the progress I've made:

• Asked for 2 new car finance quotes (Audi A5 sportback estate and Volvo V90 estate)
• Booked builders to do the bathroom in August while we are on holiday
• Ditto booked builders for redecorating DD's room while she is with her dad in July
• Asked for several wood burning stove installation quotes (getting two - bedroom and living room)
• had blackout blinds installed in bedrooms

Still to do:

• get rid of more stuff (mostly DH crap)
• sell my wedding dress
• quote and action bespoke fitted shelves for living room
• ditto fitted wardrobes for our bedroom
• lick of paint in bedroom + bedroom floor
• finish living room - paint and fit skirting boards
• buy daybed / guest double for living room
• order materials for bathroom renovation
• get a Moses basket car seat buggy etc etc

Urgh, totally need to sell my wedding dress Grumpy , this is definitely the month i pull my finger put and get it dry cleaned! Love the week pics! What app did you use?

Hello you lovely chatty lot! Well spent most of the day in the garden today which was very productive! Stuffed my beds full of plants so hoping for a decent summer display! Earning some good fit points too so hoping for a good loss this week.

Af still not due till the 11th, feels like a life time away. Ic are still showing negative so I've mentally prepared myself for af and excited about trying at the end of the month!!

Hoping to go for a swim tomorrow despite the fact I hate it. It's such good exercise and something I can carry on when pregnant.

It's lovely to see some bump pics and to see all the positives this month. My next cycle would be a really great one to conceive on, we'd find out on our anniversary and it would be due on the anniversary of getting engaged as well as this month being my birthday month so keeping fingers and toes crossed that the stars all align!!

tigger sounds like a lovely day! Send us some garden snaps when it's all blooming! Next month sounds like a perfect time for you, fingers crossed everything works out 🤞🏽
