Hi all.... as the 2ww buddies thread has got so long... thought we'd start a new one .. cd13 now... waiting for ovulation (next 2/3 days) and will then be back on the 2ww! How's everyone doing?

Evening ladies. Even though I'm cd2 I've not left. I've even come to share some helpful advice and a bit of hope for the plain family and their future tomatoes...

1- DH is looking into getting the hycosy on the work medical cover because there's an 18mth waiting list with our gynaecologist!

2- my boobs have settled down (that's not really news or interesting but I like saying boobs in public)

3- I saw an acupuncturist today who was amazing! He's this sweet old man who's so gentle and mumbles a lot to himself and wears brown shoes ☺️ (I lost both my grandads by 7yrs old so I think I form grandad attachments!) ANYWAY he says he can boost my fertility loads. He asked loads of questions about the tests we've had so far, the birth of my son, my entire medical history, all about my periods (mood swings, pain, blood loss) and even talked about CM and BBT. He's like my RL mumsnet for TTC advice! Ohhhhhhh I just want to take him home and have needles stuck in me constantly!

I love the idea of acupuncture. I need that old man!! I'd already thought that if I'm out this month that I'd look into it. Have heard good things especially for geriatrics like moi.
Great news about the hycosy. Fingers crossed you can get it privately. How old are you if u don't mind me asking?

Welcome back plain... what is hycosy?

Morning everyone, so far so good Af hasn't shown up yet. I know there's all day yet but I don't think there's been one time she hasn't come in my sleep however, not out of the clear until Tuesday!

@lisara79 a hycosy is where they put a dye through your uterus and fallopian tubes and check for any blockages, scars, damage etc and then flush you right through (to get rid of the dye). The main purpose is to see if damage has been done and then see what can be done about it. In my case I think there might be because I had a VERY traumatic birth two and a half years ago. The bonus reason though is it makes you quite fertile after apparently so we might get lucky. DH is checking the policy now. It's with his work but as we are married I am covered and so is DS till he's 18. If it can be done that means we can book in for the week after next or the following month. I think the nhs is wonderful but if we can do this privately we'll free up a space in the waiting list for someone else AND get there sooner.

@littlemimosa I'm 35 this year. It's been a tricky journey though of being told I wouldn't ever have children when I was 14 and given HRT for two years. Having eating disorders and my periods stop for over three years at 28 then HRT again in 2013 that resulted in accidentally falling pregnant in 2014! My little boy is my absolute dream come true. My entire world actually and we feel greedy wanting another sometimes because there's people who can't have any.

@jords0105 I really hope af doesn't show for you and you get your lines back again. Fx for you all day from this house 🤞🏻

Thank you all for the welcome back even though I've been knocked out the tww. I'm feeling slightly better today than yesterday (the first 24hrs are always rough) and have brought my positivity with me today. As well as acupuncture I do meditation and affirmations. My DH thinks it's a load of hokum but that's his choice.

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better today Plain. This is our second cycle together for some of us on the thread so it's nice to stay put and keep chatting. Talk changes from AF to DTD and then back to the 2ww before you know it!

Thanks plain and blue! Thought she came then but it was just alot of discharge which doesn't normally happen so close to af, to test or not to test hmm. We only seem to be getting one Bfp a month so far we need more!

Got quite drunk last night at a bridesmaid meeting, worried that if o am pg then the poor thing will be pickles! Anyone avoid alcohol in the TWW? I got my bfp with DS in Berlin after a boozy weekend and he's ok.

@plaintomatopasta I love acupuncture, I've used it for relaxation and pain relief before but not fertility, will have a look into it.

Morning rhi I wouldn't worry about it I've had the odd bailey's in the tww, I quickly took a test before I left to work and I swear I could see a shadow of a line! But at the same time we all know what I'm like with my bloody lines 😂🙊

Anyone see it or? I just need a yes or no answer from these tests and it isn't giving it me!! 😂

Hi all, I've stalking this thread over the past few weeks but feel the need to stop lurking now!

TTC since Aug 2016, AF has only made 1 appearance since then (Jan 2017). Had endless bloodtests which have all come back clear, course of progesterone in March which did cause a bleed and booked for scans to rule out other things too. Had a false positive result in Nov but trying to keep positive!

This week I have had a huuuge amount of CM, more than ever before (sorry tmi), bloating and stomach pain, nausea and whilst I was on my lunchbreak yesterday I came very close to fainting. Got v excited
so tested this am but BFN. In need of cheering up and support please!!

Morning Brum... that sounds like a tough journey... sounds like CM could be a really positive sign for you... what type is it?

Well I've not tested and am trying to wait the week the nurse told me too! My odd bleed stopped Weds and yesterday and today I have ewcm?!? I'm now day 32 of cycle.... really don't know what is going on.... fx to all waiting x

Thanks lisara79, I feel lucky compared to some, but ultimately we do all want the same thing, so it is tough for all! As for CM - sticky, clear and copious! I also have terrible acne at the moment, but that could just be due to the stress of it all!!

Brum... are you testing for ovulation or temping? if you haven't bled, could you be ovulatung? can be a pregnancy sign but also gooď sign for ovulation x both good if your cycles are all over the place!

Jords, I can't see a line but my eyesight isn't great either. Sorry, I know that's not very helpful.

I'm getting mild cramping atm although AF isn't due until Weds. No more bleeding after yesterday morning's incident. I've decided I am going to test Monday. When are other people planning to test?

I am currently laid up in bed having really bad stomach cramps at 8dpo. It's probably psychosomatic or the result of spending the morning gardening!

Plain. Gosh that is quite a journey. Can I ask why you were told that at 14? And why the HRT at such a young age? Feel free to tell me to keep my nose out though! I don't think you should feel greedy wanting another. It's perfectly natural and normal. I do feel that way sometimes too though as I already have two DC but am desperate to 'complete' my family before my time runs out. I've told hardly anyone we're cos I feel I might be judged on it (not many friends/family have more than two).
I LOVE alternative therapies and meditations. I've been doing Headspace recently and also some YouTube fertilty meditations. Definitely going to try acu next time. I'm almost certain I'm out this month too. I can just tell AF is on her way.

Thanks guys probably just me trying to look for any excuse..no I haven't tested again I'm not buying anymore tests until I'm late late, I'm determined not to anyway lol. Af is and she isn't late, she could come anywhere up until Tuesday but I suspected if anything it would be today. Since my mmc my cycle days have been shortening by one each month which I assumed was trying to get back to my 28 day cycle and last month was 29 but who knows. Surely if she wasn't going to sure I'd have an obvious positive by now? Hmm
