@RhiBee29 I know what you mean I'm just so impatient and like to have control over everything so just HATE that this is really so out of my hands! DTD every other day sounds like a good plan think we would try to do it that way if we could. So frustrating in the past when DH has been away over prime baby making time but looks like peak day for us was Friday this time so fx we've caught it. He's back to work and not home next weekend - 12 days til AF is due so now is the big wait for me! Worst part of the month :|

BlueSkies87 · 16/04/2017 16:14

Got the big smiley face on OPK today, so its 'all go' in camp Blue! Grin
@Mammabear4, glad to hear the timings panned out well for you. I will be joining you on the 2ww soon.
@RhiBee29, completely know what you mean about getting a bit crazy. I think I might have a break from it all if we don't get a bfp this month.
How is everyone else doing? x

Jords0105 · 16/04/2017 17:30

Hi everyone, bit confused really. I did mention I had what I thought was ovulation pains about a week or so ago but today I've got a lot of ewcm and according to ovia today is my fertile window so who knows? Gonna dtd if i can, Oh isn't feeling well but I'm scared I'm gonna miss it. How is everyone?

mammabear4 · 16/04/2017 18:38

@BlueSkies87 ooh exciting get doing that BD!! Looking forward to more joining me on the awful wait!
@jords0105 what CD are you on? I'm using ovia too and found it's pretty accurate for me usually just a day or so out for peak day. That combined with ewcm sounds promising! I think sometimes every little twinge I'm thinking ooh could it be an egg releasing?!
Literally one day post ovulation and felt a wave of sickness a couple of times today which I usually never get. Boobs are sore too. I'm going crazy picking up on "signs"!

Jords0105 · 16/04/2017 18:59

@mammabear4 I'm on cd16 of 30 so does sound about right! Is it harsh if my partners ill to dtd? Lol. It's so hard not to symptom spot but when I was pregnant I didn't have one symptom up until 6 weeks or so when the dreaded morning sickness kicked in. No sore boobs or anything so to me no symptoms is a good sign! Fingers crossed for you and everyone else this month :)

mammabear4 · 16/04/2017 21:54

@Jords0105 ha not harsh imo they have one duty and one duty only and need to battle through! :D hope all you ovulaters(??!) are currently getting down to business unlike me sitting on my phone trying to take my mind of the fact DH is not home for another 2 weeks Sad
I had really strong symptoms early on with first pregnancy, really heightened sense of taste and smell and bloated feeling in low abdomen. Sore boobs and sicky feelings all before I got my BFP. Really really trying not to go crazy over poss signs because I know every pregnancy is different. But just can't help myself! Thank god for mn so I can bore others with my woeful inner monologue rather than keep it all bottled up!! Grin
As always FX for everyone and hopefully nobody else is going this mental 1 day into 2ww xx

mammabear4 · 16/04/2017 21:55

Mind off not of - had to correct myself there that drives me crazy! Can't you edit these posts??

lisara79 · 16/04/2017 23:12

Hey All.... I'm currently ovulatung (pains and positive opk yesterday and this morning) Tonight will be out final dtd for baby making purposes... and so I'll be joining the 2ww from tomorrow. Feeling a bit negative about the whole thing today... Will it ever really happen? I'm sure I'll get over it and get busy symptom spotting over the next two weeks. Luck to you all.

BlueSkies87 · 16/04/2017 23:21

@Lisara, completely know where you are coming from with the way you are feeling but it will happen for you I'm sure so don't lose hope. I think we need to try to relax and not get stressed out about it. So easy to say and tricky to do, I know, but I am sure bfps are on the way for us and I can't wait to see yours along with everyone else's on here. Don't lose hope just yet Flowers xxx

BlueSkies87 · 16/04/2017 23:33

@mammabear4, after your 'twice in one night' antics I didn't want to let the team down, so we dtd Friday, Saturday, this morning and this evening! (As well as every other day the week pervious) SURELY we have all bases covered there?! I think I am ovulating now but will OPK tomorrow to check where I'm at. I think DH feels like its Christmas and birthdays all rolled into one!!!! Grin

lisara79 · 16/04/2017 23:35

wow blue... lol... I'm not Winning the competition... we did manage tonight and yesterday.... Thanks blue... I'm looking forward to yours too! x

Urgh, full of cold so fallen at the first hurdle of DTD every day 😷🤧🤒

mammabear4 · 17/04/2017 07:49

lisara I always get that feeling every 2ww. Why bother getting hopes up etc. But then always do! Vicious cycle!
Wow blue good going! Definitely covering all bases!Major FX for us all this cycle. Now DH is gone still looking at my ovia app and seeing 8.5 fertility yesterday and 7.5 today thinking we're totally missing some more prime time.
Rhi oh no sorry to hear that get better soon!! Dtd every other day perhaps?! I've heard sex is a fantastic cure for a cold! Grin

littlemimosa · 17/04/2017 08:11

Hi everyone. I've been AWOL for the Easter holidays so just checking back in. Welcome Mammabear! Good to have you here.
Not much to report here. I'm CD14, got a positive opk on CD8 so dtd a couple of times since then but my heart hasn't been in it because I feel like I've not actually ovulated:( I think I got a surge but no egg. It happened to me once last year too. I remember saying to my DH that I'd not ovulated for the first time ever (we weren't ttc then). I can tell cos there was no ov pains and no ewcm.
I am almost 41 so perhaps these things start to happen? Anyone got any experience or knowledge of anovulatary cycles?
When you google it, it appears to be fairly normal but it doesn't feel normal for me:(
Despite that I'm trying to stay positive because when it happened last year i had a v long cycle but then everything went back to normal.

lisara79 · 17/04/2017 15:12

Hey Mimosa, hope you had a lovely easter... I'm sure iv e had two cycles where I didn't ovulate... one about two years ago and one a few months ago... I read a bit about it and it does say that most women don't ovulate each month and it may only be because we are hyper aware that we really notice. A friend of mine (my boss actually) has had two eptopics and says she only ovulates around every other cycles... she's only 36 but has just given birth to a perfectly healthy baby boy.... I guess because we are actively ttc and getting so much info we are just so aware of everything out
r bodies are doing... it probably is completely normal but the only way to know (still without any certainty) is seeing if your tempreture rises after ovulating... still no guarantees.... I wasn't temping when I thought this had happened to me.

mammabear4 · 17/04/2017 16:45

Hi mimosa thank you! How naive am I - I didn't even realise you could have a month of no ovulation just took it as an absolute given. I never really seem to notice ovulation symptoms personally i.e. cramps, ewcm and am now thinking am I actually ovulating?! Confused considering starting tracking BBT just for one more thing to "help"! Feeling bloated today. Hope everybody has enjoyed their Easter Monday, we took the dog to the beach and the sea air has me almost falling asleep already!

lisara79 · 17/04/2017 16:48

Mamabear... I think lots of people don't feel ovulation... it helps if you do but I don't think it makes any difference to fertility

OP posts:
weasledee · 17/04/2017 19:41

Slightly off subject but I used the clear blue ovulation monitor several years ago which recorded I was about to ovulate, but I never got the smiley face symbol to say ovulation had happened...... clearly something was incorrect as my non-ovulation is now a 4 year old boy 😁

littlemimosa · 17/04/2017 19:53

Ha ha weasledee! well, that really does go to show that monitors aren't always accurate! Can't get better proof than a four year old!!

Thanks so much ladies, you've all made me feel a ton better. Lisara i agree with being hyper sensitive. Definitely that.

Re ov pains, I do get them almost every month along with EWCM and have done for ever, so to not have both seemed really strange. BUT I have noticed that as i get older I'm getting less and less EWCM (slightly depressing but am not going to despair just yet and have started using Conceive Plus) and I do realise that not everyone woman gets the pains. I have friends who have never had them.

I need to stop 'tuning in' so much and need to get worries about my age out of my head. I've been doing some fertility meditation at bedtime on youtube in a bid to send positive vibes to my nether regions lol.

lisara79 · 17/04/2017 21:19

lol... positive vibes to the nether regions sounds fun!! Not being hyper sensitive is not easy! iv e started in the 2ww today and already charting and googling symptoms... how ridiculous! 1 dpo!

OP posts:
mammabear4 · 17/04/2017 22:48

Crazy how it can be so different for everyone. Definitely something to be said for trying to NOT tune in as much... having said that lisara I'm exactly the same 2dpo. I said I was bloated before - well earlier I had cramps in my left side and was thinking oooh a symptom? Googling cramps immediately after ovulation. After a trip to the toilet turns out it might just have been the copious amounts of chocolate consumed over the Easter period Blush

mammabear4 · 17/04/2017 23:07

Also mimosa fertility meditation and positive vibes to nether regions sounds amazing and right up my street! I did hypnobirthing when preggers with DD and was the best thing I've ever done... am going straight to YouTube now... any recommendations??

Jords0105 · 18/04/2017 19:37

Evening lovely ladies, so like I told you I'm confused of when I hopefully o'ed. I had the pains at cd 9 and ewcm on cd15/16 but no guarantee on either. Say for instance, I did ovulate on cd 9 would I expect Af to be early 14 days after so could I potentially be due on the 23rd of could it still be my regular cycle length? So confused I've had tugging in lower on my stomach for past 2 hour and tmi sorry but the estimate so much discharge when I'm at work it's literally falling out of me! I'm gonna have to start wearing a pad!

lisara79 · 18/04/2017 20:00

Jords.... you don't temp so you? the mucas is probably a bigger sign than the pains.... it so confusing.... what cd are you now?

OP posts:
Jords0105 · 18/04/2017 20:24

I'm cd 18 I was hoping I did ovulate early because I won't have all bases covered if I did ovulate on 15/16 then I'm deffo pit we haven't dtd I've been so exhausted from work and poorly at the same time so looks like I aren't going to have any look this month! 😔
