So yet again, af has got me. Brown spotting this morning after a cycle where I was actually genuinely convinced I'd done it this time. Oh well.

Only on month 5 of actively trying. I'm ttc no2. I'm awaiting a referral for a hospital appointment to investigate scarring in my uterus so every month that goes by without a pregnancy, the more I can't deny that there's obviously something wrong (I've conceived twice, both just after a missed pill so 5 months is long in comparison!)

Just thought I'd say hi and hope THIS might be our month and we have a chance at a baby in 2018 instead :)

33-35 day cycle so would be expecting to test somewhere around May 9-10. Thunderbirds are go time is marathon weekend though - I may not have the energy for much! Had an early MC in January at 5+3, DS was 1 in late March and I'm still breastfeeding.

boatrace30 · 12/04/2017 15:21

My cycles vary from 33-40 days but my issue is the luteal phase I short. 8-9days

boatrace30 · 12/04/2017 15:24

And wow trijo. I did a marathon a few years back. Cannot imagine how you find time to train with a one year old. Huge respect for that!
Have your cycles returned to normal? I had to stop breastfeeding at 14months to get anything to come back (even though DD was hardly feeding). 9months on and I may as well have kept feeding her for all the good it's done.

TriJo · 12/04/2017 15:30

They've settled about as well as they could really. I was on Cerazette until early December when I had to come off for mental health reasons (mood was so low I got a PND diagnosis) and we accidentally caught the first egg when I ovulated over Christmas. I went back to work in November as well so was going longer between feeds. 44 day cycle after the MC in January and then a 33 day one after that, which looking into the dim and distant past pre-hormonal contraception is pretty much exactly what I would have expected. Luteal phase was relatively long with this cycle - noticeable signs of ovulation around CD16-17.

BlueeSpottyTiger · 12/04/2017 15:39

Trijo sorry to hear about your mc Flowers
Do you think breastfeeding effects chances of ttc?
I've had my period since dd was 3 months..shes 14months now and we're still bf'ing too.. someone mentioned to me that my hormones may stop be falling pregnant as easily.. but I've always had 26day cycles since getting it again so surely i must me ovulating at the same time ect? I have no idea.
boatrace hope your okay i can see why that made you abit sad xx

TriJo · 12/04/2017 16:03

It can for some people - I'm on a TTC and BF group on FB and quite a few women have had to night wean just to get AF back at all. I found though that things went a lot more "normal" when we cut down to around 3-5 times a day during the week after I went back to work, DS feeds in the morning, after nursery, at bedtime and often once overnight on weekdays, plus 3 good solid meals. I haven't pumped at work since he was 10 months old.

Ava1985 · 12/04/2017 18:54

Hi everyone

trijo sorry to hear about mc. I had one late Jan/early Feb which was more a 'chemicle' pregnancy. Bfp and all chuffed, then a few days later it was all over! It's so gutting isn't it Flowers

Cd5 today and feeling blah about things in general. I know people generally feel like this before a period, but I actually feel like crap for about a week after af has finished! What's that about! Will feel great again next week!

Not temping or charting this month, I've lost the will for all that! Using opks and keeping an eye on cm.

Lots of love ladies X

Cookie1831 · 12/04/2017 19:24

This is what I am taking? Could just be a fluke of course

lookatthemoon · 12/04/2017 19:45

Ugh - is anyone else finding this cycle reaaally long already? I am tired of looking at cm and it is only cd10. I'm not sure how I will manage 18 more days.

penguinsandotters · 12/04/2017 20:26

I'm on CD9. Definitely a very very long cycle!

mrsb87 · 12/04/2017 21:00

Cd 2...yes 2....waaaahhh. I've just scoffed a chocolate egg that was meant to be for a niece or nephew. Oops!

juneybean · 12/04/2017 21:02

I just want my period to come so I can start my next cycle! Just want to get full of sperm already!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 12/04/2017 21:06

mrsb87 noooo! I'm eyeing up my little brothers and sister's eggs now.. we still have time to replace them Wink

mrsb87 · 12/04/2017 21:13

That's my theory bluee!. Off to the shops I go tomorrow!!

lookatthemoon · 12/04/2017 21:22

Haha Tiger I read your post out of context and thought you were talking about egg donation or something and all I could think was 'geez this got heavy quickly'.😂😂

Andysgirl15 · 12/04/2017 21:52

My current cycle is really weird. I'm on cd4 and usually it's pretty heavy until cd5 when it gets lighter. Anyway this arvo I had a really big gush with cramps (unusual for me) got to 5pm and not a single drop of blood, I've completely dried up and I'm used to a 6 day cycle. DP thinks I'm preggo which isn't unusual I had what I thought was af with DD and my MC so who knows

Cookie1831 · 12/04/2017 21:55

Do a test!!!!!!!

Excitement2017 · 12/04/2017 21:59

I've been having cramps today and am really tired so think af on the way. Or maybe it's just from having an operation a week ago.
Really hoping it's af though so I know my cycles unaffected and we can ttc asap!

Andysgirl15 · 12/04/2017 22:00

I am going to. With DD I should have been 9 week at first scan but I was nearly 14 and with my miscarriage I found out a week after AF finished but sadly lost it three weeks later but the weird thing is with DS I found out at 10dpo and missed AF (obviously lol) but no bleeding. I'm wondering maybe I only have what I think is AF with girls??

MrsHandles · 12/04/2017 22:08

Red tidal wave of doom came today so I'm officially on CD1. *waves. FX for the May Train - choo choo!

AngharadTheSplendid · 12/04/2017 23:44

Hey ladies can I join?

I just stopped bfing 6 month old DD2 3 days ago and am expecting AF (and my fertility, fingers crossed!) to return around May 1st (AF took three weeks to return after I stopped feeding DD1). I know from that experience that I have to stop bf completely to ovulate so I've cut out all the wondering/messing around this time and just stopped. I had a long hard think about the pros and cons and decided that after 6 months (not before) the benefits of having a sibling outweigh the benefits of BF. So here I am again back on the buses. Hoping to catch the first egg!

Good luck to everyone and very sorry to read about the mcs Flowers

Sunshinesaz86 · 13/04/2017 10:28

Ladies, I need your advice so I have 26 day cycles my first lot of OPK's came yesterday so even though I'm CD6 today I thought I'd make a start even though AF hasn't buggered off yet and look!! Looks positive?

I'm no expert on opks so can this happen early but be false surge?

All aboard the May Train!
BlueeSpottyTiger · 13/04/2017 10:53
