Thread 6 already. We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (preggers)

And everything in between!

We've had 7 BFPs in three months and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Wow busy morning on here!

seven sorry about your BFN. I'm using Ovia app as well and it's not always reliable!

jupiter hope the nausea will settle after a while

penguin hope you find out one way or the other. Maybe it's a good sign with the spotting. Think you can get some bleeding in early pregnancy which is normal. When are you testing again?

Didn't sleep well last night. Lots of cramps and weird dreams. Can't wait for AF to be over and feel normal again! Have a good day everyone Smile

buzzmoon · 05/04/2017 09:27

jupiter tigger i feel awful today too! Hope yours eases, im constantly hungry, like proper hunger like I feel like I haven't eaten in weeks hunger even though I've just had breakfast! If I don't eat I feel sick! Got aef headache, no energy, feel hot, can't empty my bladder properly so constantly need a wee! God! You're right though, I'm sorry for complaining. In a meeting all day today 😩 and then my boss is taking us for drinks to celebrate our year end. So trying to not drink too! Ugh!

Tigger83 · 05/04/2017 09:29

Buzz I'm so glad it's no just me! Hope you feel a bit better soon

DancingUnicorn · 05/04/2017 10:49

Thanks tigger and seven. Totally don't feel amazing today, feel like I've been hit by the grief train, which I'm sure will happen over and over again. But I know it will get easier. I have a lot of coping mechanisms tucked up in my brain from my past.

Hope you feel better soon buzz and everyone else struggling!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 05/04/2017 11:14

Oh dancing take care love! You are doing amazingly well!

JB1983 · 05/04/2017 11:33

dancing I can't imagine what your feeling. One day at a time lovely. Flowers

Oh oh jupiter hope you manage to keep the sickness at bay.

Sorry about bfn seven, it's not over until AB shows though and penguin what is going on with all the spotting? Hope ICs arrive asap for you.

Eek parsnips who knows it might accidentally be your month!

JB1983 · 05/04/2017 11:47

Today's weigh-in and I have now lost a stone, feeling very happy that I am now starting to TTC at a healthy weight. So treating myself to a wee shopping trip in the city as have a big local event this weekend that requires an outfit that goes day to night and all weather - no easy task!

Redpony1 · 05/04/2017 11:54

Well done JB!

I am sorry for BFN seven Sad

Had to go to the emergency dentist this morning as my tooth implant somehow moved last night & i had a couple mm gap between gum & tooth?! Too nearly an hour to get fixed up. I'm petrified of dentists too!

penguinsandotters · 05/04/2017 12:08

Great job on the weight loss jb

redpony good luck at the dentist. I hate dentists too!

dancing you are doing amazing, sending lots of warm thoughts and well wishes your way Flowers

buzz jupiter tigger hope you're all feeling better soon!

Penguin27 · 05/04/2017 12:14

Buzz, tigger, Jupiter... Hope you all feel better soon!

I really can't imagine how you must feel dancing Flowers Sending you lots of love and hugs xx

Well done on the weight loss jb!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 05/04/2017 12:14

Well done jb! Jealous! I am a right little tub atm!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 05/04/2017 15:24

dancing so sorry, it's shit. Be kind to yourself it's totally normally to grieve Flowers

JB well done on the weight loss - I would be eating cake in celebration!

Red I also hate the dentist. I think it's overexposure since I had braces. I even pulled the still runny mould putty out of my mouth once - it took ages to pick all the bits out of my mouth, face and hair 🙈 I hope your appointment goes well!

Buzz tigger Jupiter hope the sickness eases!!

Seven sorry for the BFN! Fx you get your BFP soon xx

Parsnips it only takes once Grin can't wait for you to POAS!

MrsC not heard from you in a while how are you?

HbH · 05/04/2017 16:10

Excellent weight loss Jb, you've been quieting powering on through!! Is it diet or exercise or both?

Poor you Red hope it all got sorted... dentist in my top three of fears!

Glad you've got coping mechanisms dancing also very normal to have moments where you're a mess, take all the time x x

Keep us posted on knicker watch parsnips (my phone typed knocker watch 😂)

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 05/04/2017 16:23

I did POAS at lunch and was bfn but was a shitty no brand test so not sure of sensitivity - don't think they like you to know early in the Middle East!

No sign of AF and no rumbles, cramping or whatever. I have another test for the morning. We have DHs friend arriving tomorrow for five days and much drinking planned for this weekend and I am still fat and not 'baby ready' in any way. 😬😬😬

Fully expecting no to wake up to AF tomorrow. Pad on in anticipation.

JB1983 · 05/04/2017 16:45

Just dieting using mfp Hb, didn't have time to exercise when I was writing up my dissertation. No excuses now though so dragging my ass back to gym on Saturday for body combat. Got half a stone to go but will get there!

DancingUnicorn · 05/04/2017 16:53

Parsnips not sure whether to hope AF shows up or stays away! But hope you get an answer before your weekend so you're not stressed!!

Impressive jb. I'm starting at a much better position this time (unless I eat too much chocolate over Easter!)

Penguin27 · 05/04/2017 17:04

Haha dancing, I agree about unsure what to wish parsnips so I'll just send her some Cake !

AF is here! Very light but it's definitely more than spotting now... should I call today CD1?

DancingUnicorn · 05/04/2017 17:10

:( boo. Sorry penguin. I would probably say cd1 today. Who knows what Ovia might do with the info!

Penguin27 · 05/04/2017 17:39

Dancing, Ovia is counting today as CD1... next AF due 9th May?! She's completely moved my fertile week for the last cycle so we didn't dtd at any time within it Confused I'm a bad girlfriend Blush

DancingUnicorn · 05/04/2017 17:48

You're not a bad girlfriend at all! There's no way to know if she's even right! Hopefully she's better adjusted for next cycle!!

Mummyme87 · 05/04/2017 18:14

Evening ladies,
Thinking of you a lot dancing you will grieve and it's normal.

Sorry for the BFNs. It's bloody shit.
DS was ill this morning, dripping with sweat and a low temp.. had a good nap and some nurofen.. he was like a new child.

I'm 4dpo today. Had some left sided discomfort this morning and at the moment like a nipping sensation in general low abdomen. Too early to be symptom spotting 😂 Still taking baby aspirin.

I'm counting down the days to annual leave.. 3 shifts and 1 study day to go. The unit is so busy right now I need time off, its killing me.

Regarding exercise in pregnancy, the general consensus is keep active and continue what you normally do.. if you ran marathons continue, cycling, etc etc. Just be aware you may need to adjust as time goes on as you grow and lose your centre of gravity. I did a session in the Manchester velodrome when I was 7weeks pregnant, morning sickness had just kicked in 🤢 I looked after a woman who was a kick boxing teacher, she did a session the night before she went into labour. Active women tend to do better in labour.
Alcohol wise.. HCPs are supposed to advocate no alcohol in pregnancy, guidance changes all the time. On a recent study day on embryology I found out alcohol affect the embryo well before a woman will know she is pregnant.. obviously this varies greatly and most babies are fine but always good to have at the back of your mind

Mummyme87 · 05/04/2017 18:17

This is a good link regarding alcohol during the embryonic stage and fetal stage.

HeyJupiter · 05/04/2017 18:23

Dancing ohh the shitty grief train :( I’m so sorry you’re having a bad day. Let yourself feel it my lovely. I remember reading a poem that describes grief as a tidal wave that will suddenly crash down on you, but as time goes on the waves get a little bit smaller and more manageable Flowers

Thanks for the all the advice guys, eating little and often really helps. Although only carbs are appealing at the moment - aghhh to being a million stone heavier when I do give birth. buzz sorry that it’s caught you too and Tigger that it’s come back. To be honest it hasn’t been dreadful, just waves occasionally. Unfortunately feels like it might be ramping up a bit and the worst will definitely be yet to come. Not wanting to moan though as I’m really lucky to be in this position at all. Oh Tigger you aren’t moaning, it sounds absolutely dreadful especially coupled with flipping hay fever. Hope you’re okay and looking after yourself.

Penguin sorry AF has properly started. If it’s red blood then apparently it counts as CD1 - roll on your fertile week :)

parnsips, exciting! any sign of AF? Don’t worry about the drinking etc, embryo not even attached to your blood supply at that point :)

seven how are you feeling? You have so much time, don’t worry, you’re body is just adjusting after being on the pill. It took my friend 10 months before she even started ovulating again and she’s just had her little girl - so it can vary. Don’t worry, am sure there is nothing wrong xx

otters hope you sleep better tonight, stupid AF - onwards to the next cycle. Is your GP upping your clomid this month?

JB amazing weight loss, you should be so proud! Well done!

redpony hope you’re okay after the dentist.. nothing worse. My wisdom teeth periodically give me problems, definitely need to sort that at some point. Maybe straight after giving birth so dental treatment still free..

Hi mummy, am feeling very positive for you this cycle!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 05/04/2017 18:28

Currently in waiting room at GP waiting to see him for the Valium verdict 🤞🏼

HeyJupiter · 05/04/2017 18:31

Oh wow grumpy, good luck! Remember promethazine as a back up option if he refuses x
