Thread 6 already. We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (preggers)

And everything in between!

We've had 7 BFPs in three months and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Wilde I have 3 international business trips in the next 3 months and no annual leave until August 😭 going to try and make the most of the bank holidays...

dinosaursandtea · 27/03/2017 13:04

Right, GP just called me and blood tests are all normal, so she'll refer me to the fertility clinic and I'll find out exactly what the options are in my area. I think I get six rounds of IUI from the sperm bank (I'm really going to need to stop getting grossed out every time I use the word 'sperm, aren't I?) but we'll start trying via DIY home insemination in May.

Currently CD38 and so incredibly hormonal. Yesterday my sex drive was insane, then I promptly had a panic attack (not related, it's usual at this point in my cycle) and now I have simmering rage. Luckily that means AF is very imminent...

SO much to do this week - one of the biggest work deadlines of my career on Friday, another deadline today, three meetings and one big bit of work and a stack of errands to run, but all I want to do is look at our list of donors and pin nursery ideas on Pinterest... How do you all function? I feel like I can't concentrate on anything else!

dinosaursandtea · 27/03/2017 13:06

Also, if DW doesn't stop fannying around on her laptop and make lunch before she goes to work, I'm going to bite someone. I already did the cats' trays, ran her a bath, ironed a shirt and ran out for milk and I've been working at home all morning!

orangefolly · 27/03/2017 13:08

Oh no grumpy I feel for you. I moved from a job with a lot of international travel quite recently. It is really exhausting!

Massive congrats to Hb - what a fertile bunch!! I will try my best to carry on the tradition with the magic lube!

I actually had a bit of a moment last night - my roots are growing out and I can see some grey hairs them and I told DH I didn't see how I could ever have a baby as I am an old hag already Blush He was very good but I think me stressing is stressing him. I just want this bit to be done with.

HbH · 27/03/2017 13:53

Oh grumpy sorry you're feeling anxious... do you think it's a phase due to your imminent crazy few months? Have you always done the same job or have you got experience in other things? If the job is stressing you long term can you begin to think of an alternative direction? I guess it's hard if you're the main earner Shock

orange a white hair if definitely not a sign of you being an 'old hag!!' Wishing every ounce of luck this month with the lucky lube!

dino you sound like an amazing wife!! it's you having the baby right? Hopefully she will repay you in favours when you're upduffed!

HbH · 27/03/2017 13:58

We're properly convinced!
DH had tears!

(I'll shut up now!)

buzzmoon · 27/03/2017 14:07

Eek! hb! So happy!!!

Sorry you're feeling shit grumpy :( could you move to the country and do what you do but for yourself? Or remotely?

dino so glad to hear your bloods are all okay and you're ready to get the sperm ball rolling! You sound like a fab wife :)

dinosaursandtea · 27/03/2017 14:30

OMG HbH! That's AMAZING! Congratulations!

Thanks,HbH and buzz - tbh, I'm mostly just procrastinating!

Redpony1 · 27/03/2017 14:33

How amazing to see it like that Hb!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 14:42

Hb wow strong FRER and digital! You must be so happy Smile

Buzz no I couldn't do it for myself because of regulations unfortunately and remote is a no go because all my meetings have to be in london - mostly face to face. So I'd need a total career change!

Yes hb I've always done this kind of work - the stress comes and goes. I don't normally travel this much for work so it's unusually stressful (I have travel anxiety). I can cope with it occasionally but this is a lot in one go.

Penguin27 · 27/03/2017 14:58

Hb that's so clear!! You're properly pregnant!! Grin

Sorry you're feeling so anxious and stressed grumpy. I'm sure Ovia would tell you that stress isn't good for fertility, so you should try to relax... but I would say that stress isn't good full stop so you should try to relax anyway!! But if you're moving down south, I'd recommend Bournemouth Grin

So today the cramping has gone crazy and now I have spotting, so I'm thinking AB might arrive early Sad

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 15:02

Thanks penguin Grin
Sorry to hear about the spotting - it could be implantation though? You are CD26?

Penguin27 · 27/03/2017 15:24

Yes CD26, I thought that would be too late for implantation? Confused

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 15:41

Well implantation could happen 6-12DPO so it's possible x

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 15:43

Hb what a lovely pair of results :) Does it suddenly feel more real? I think the digitals literally spelling it out really help.

Wilde just shows how random the whole thing is really. I conceived on the only month for yonks where I basically had no ewcm.. then again I did have the magic lube!

buzz Flowers for you, what a knob of a man. You should have told him you were pregnant and shamed him! (not that I would ever dare do that, I’m much more of a go-home-and-cry kind of gal.) I’ve been feeling quite emotional too, and really clingy to DH - like scared he’s going to disappear or something. Not that he ever would intentionally.

grumpy so sorry you’re having a crappy day. I so empathise too. I left London five years ago as I couldn’t cope with the pace of life, the commute, the lack of green space etc and then moved to Norfolk. Best decision I made. But then again I’m a nurse so could move anywhere really, I appreciate that isn’t the case with your kind of job. You need a holiday my lovely! On a more positive note hooray for scrapey scrapey Grin

dinosaurs that’s excellent news, sounds like things are progressing. Don’t worry the word sperm grosses me out too. Good luck with all the work, you can do it! TTC is a full time job though I agree. So is being pregnant I’ve decided (and i don’t really have any symptoms yet at all).

orange you deffo not an old hag. You are young, fertile and vibrant :)

Penguin what CD did you ovulate? Surely could be implantation bleeding? Am crossing fingers.

NaturWilde · 27/03/2017 15:57

Depends when you ovulated @Penguin27...

Implantation can happen anywhere from 6-12 days after ovulation...

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 16:03

Just watched Tom Hardy read a CBeebies bedtime story. It has cheered up this busy Monday (I am on a break by the way.. this isn't why the NHS is in crisis - because the nursing staff are swooning over TH when they should be seeing patients!)

MrsC2017 · 27/03/2017 17:05

Hi everyone!
hb eeek no denying those!!! How super exciting!!
jupiter the NHS needs more Tom hardy! 😂 😂
orange I am 27 and 50% grey, starting going grey at 20! It's awful! Depresses me no end, like they can put a man on the moon surely they could sort grey hair out!
grumpy I live in the stick, commutable to a small city and the lack of job opportunities is such a downside, however I absolutely love the country life, we have a huge garden and live beside the sea, it's heaven when the sun shines, DS plays outside over and back to the neighbours and I never have to worry about him, it is a lovely way of life! I would be no good in London, like a lost bunny!
buzz what a dick, some people must have such a crappy life to go around tutting at people on the tube! Sorry he upset you, bring eggs in your bag for any other such occasions! 😀
penguin hopefully it's something more promising than AB!!! Fx for you xx
confused glad u are feeling well after making time for yourself, me time is so important I feel!
wilde what a super happy week for you, double congratulations!!!
dinosaur glad all is well with bloods, I hope the next stage is a smooth as possible for you both!

Work has been grim today and will be until Wednesday, a bunch of colleagues started a project and I offered to help with admin side of things which basically means I have been made to do everything and I'm well sick of it and them! They don't know what they are doing and the deadline is Wednesday and now it's all panic and somehow I am expected to pick up the slack!
My nausea seems to have eased but I still feel off, no appetite and just feeling low, I cannot sleep because I'm having insane dreams that keep waking me up and then I'm in some weird alternate reality when I don't know if I'm awake or asleep! Anyway week 7 is better than week 6 so hoping week 8 will be better again!
Weather had been beautiful here so enjoyed the sun this weekend! Cannot wait to go on holiday in July now!!

Penguin27 · 27/03/2017 17:11

Not sure when ov happened, so I could be in the right window for implantation I guess!! Fx Smile

Sorry work has been rubbish for you MrsC, it's crap having to pick up everyone else's crap that they're either too lazy or incompetent to do themselves! Bring on week 8!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 17:15

Thanks MrsC - you're making it sound so appealing! Sorry work is annoying Angry hope it gets sorted and you can have a nice relaxed Thursday & Friday!

So I've got slight crampy backache now Hmm

Votes please - I have 2 FRER in the house and a big boozy black tie event Wednesday night (10dpo). Do I use one Wednesday morning?? Or wait till Friday 12DPO .. my wilko tests are only 20miU sensitivity,..

buzzmoon · 27/03/2017 17:51

Yes test on Wednesday! 🙋🏽🙋🏽🙋🏽

Penguin27 · 27/03/2017 17:53

I would test on Wednesday grumpy! 10 dpo isn't too early for a + ... a squinted, at least. Fx!!

Penguin27 · 27/03/2017 17:53

*squinter, woops!

MrsC2017 · 27/03/2017 18:11

grumpy I got my BFP on 10dpo so I say go for it!

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 19:03

Go for it grumpy, my line at 12DPO was so strong that easily could have seen a squinter at 10DPO!
