Thread 6 already. We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (preggers)

And everything in between!

We've had 7 BFPs in three months and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Another vote for Wednesday!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 19:09

Ahh I'm not even excited as I'm pretty sure it'll be a BFN but still feeling very impatient for Wednesday morning!!

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 19:23

I'm a fan of lots of testing in the 2ww.. I found it helpful to gently let myself down rather than putting all my hope into one day (if that makes sense.) However I stand by the feeling I've had all along grumpy that it will be your month! Very excited for wednesday for you :)

dinosaursandtea · 27/03/2017 19:29

AF just showed up with a vengeance. Have now abanonded all hope of getting work done and am lying down with a purring cat on my back - surprisingly effective for cramps!

I feel like getting my period roughly on schedule AND the good blood tests, we're just closer and closer...

Cats will be fucking furious to share us, though - they're very possessive!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 19:38

Jupiter did you go from BFN to BFP overnight then? Eek .. it's so weird isn't it that you could go around feeling completely normal for two weeks and then...

Dino sorry about AF.. my cats do that too!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 19:40

Oh sorry just re-read the below .. so you didn't test at 10dpo Jupiter? What dpo did you get the last BFN (if you remember)?

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 19:46

The first two months of trying I tested almost every day from 9DPO-AF starting and each day lost a little hope which in the end helped I think rather than putting lots of hope into one particularly day and then being let down. Last month I went against that though and waited until 12DPO and got my strong positive. Anyway (if I'm making any sense) I do prefer my usual method and therefore think you should definitely test wednesday Grin

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 19:47

dinosaurs glad AF appeared but hope you're not feeling too rough. Enjoy your lovely lie down with the cat :)

NaturWilde · 27/03/2017 19:47

Grumpy I had a very clear BFN at 8dpo and then a very clear BFP at 10dpoGrin

But I know I implanted at 8 dpo as I had an IB. If you're someone who implants at 12dpo, a test won't show anything,

Good luck! It's only 2 days...!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 20:10

Thank you.. i haven't had spotting or anything and didn't have IB with DD either so no idea of implantation.. anyway we will find out soon!

I just got home to a massive pile of housework and DH and DD have eaten all my nice snacks.. I am a bit of a grumpy mummy tonight! Didn't want DH to kiss me at all, feel like I need physical space! Hormones probably (either pre AF or pre BFP!). I'm having a bacon sandwich for dinner 🥓

buzzmoon · 27/03/2017 20:41

Just seen this for you grumpy and other testers!

Bacon sandwich sounds awesome 👌

What's IB?

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 20:44

Haha buzz, we all need that car :)

IB is implantation bleeding penguin x

confusedat23 · 27/03/2017 20:44

Wow you ladies have made 3 pages whilst i was away today!!!... hows a woman ment to keep up?

So booking appointment went well... the trainee midwife butchered my arms (yes both) but i was very nice and just let her get on with it because you can't make the poor lady panic and tbh it only really hurts afterwards when the bruising sets in!
I have been referred to a support group to talk to someone regarding the MH side of things... the midwife i saw was lovely and pregnant herself so i felt like the hormonal feelings were fresh with her and she got it when i said my feelings are the same as the day after you get married and the immense downer you feel... she was also familiar with the type of anaemia i have which was useful but they are very concerned about my blood levels blood pressure has dropped to 88/55 (the student took it twice she was so shocked until i reassured her that when my blood is low my blood pressure plummets) and obviously the struggle to get blood out even though when the normal tubes didn't work they tried the suction tubes and they still didn't work Blush so yeah i need to see the consultant about that in a few weeks lol oh and i agreed to be one of the case studies for my student midwife which should be nice!

Grumpy both me and Jupiter took a test everyday approach from 10dpo with cheepies and i think its good because it lets you down slowly... rather than a massive BFN on 14dpo when you are pretty much 95% guarenteed a line if humped!!

Dino i hope AB is not too bad for you!... have you got a plan on when you are starting? Do you have OPKs so you know when you ov?

confusedat23 · 27/03/2017 20:45

Ahahaha buzz that car is amazing!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 20:52

Wow confused that sounds complicated - so they have to take blood out to get your BP up? How does that work?

Buzz thanks for the lucky car!!

Penguin27 · 27/03/2017 20:53

Oh that makes sense Jupiter 🙈 thanks!

Glad you got on well with your midwife confused, although that does sound a bit stressful with the bloods. It will be nice for you to know you're helping the trainee to develop!

That car is amazing buzz!

DancingUnicorn · 27/03/2017 20:56

Sorry about your arms confused! I'd have been out cold at that point. Feeling very sorry for my bruised arm today. (And my blood came out easily, just the needle coming out really hurt!) I'm really glad you had a good appointment and they were able to help with things. Do you have to have regular transfusions to help with the blood levels? (Sorry if that's too nosy, don't feel you have to answer!!)

Told my midwife yesterday I haven't had a migraine in months. Have one today, but don't think I can take my regular medication!! :'(

DancingUnicorn · 27/03/2017 20:57

Also just seen a house I really love on Rightmove, in an area I like, commute still bearable. But can't buy a new house right now, so feeling very sorry for myself!! 😢

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 21:00

Oh sorry I just understood.. they needed to take blood samples for tests so it dropped your BP 🙈 sorry bit slow off the mark tonight!

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 21:00

confused your midwife sounds lovely. So glad you raised the emotional side of things and felt supported. There is a degree of anti-climax about all this. I'm so happy of course but I think there is so much uncertainty that you can't quite relax into those feelings. Also glad they know about your anaemia Flowers

HeyJupiter · 27/03/2017 21:01

Oh Dancing that all sounds really tough. Hope your head feels better soon.. could you definitely not move house this year?

Penguin27 · 27/03/2017 21:07

Sorry you're not feeling well dancing Flowers you should speak to your midwife about what you can take to make it feel better.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 27/03/2017 21:10

Dancing hope you feel better soon. I've only had a proper migraine twice in my life - never want to experience that again. Brew for you x

DancingUnicorn · 27/03/2017 21:18

Jupiter I mean, we could move house, and we could afford the house if we sold the flat. But my oh is currently looking for work, so that plus baby seems a bit silly. Plus, I reckon I'll get really good care round here while I'm pregnant, and live walking distance to the hospital. We have enough space here, is just like something a little less London, ifkwim? Also, you're totally right about anxiety stopping you relaxing into the happy feelings!!

Penguin midwife said she'd never heard of my migraine Medicine, but it's just a really high dose of aspirin mixed with metaclopromide. She just said low doses of aspirin were ok. But this is like 1000mg, so I'm not planning to try it out. Hopefully if I drink lots it'll go away, but tomorrow might be annoying. Might get oh to give me a massage to help!
