That's ok. I suspect she'll be here today or tomorrow now. I suspect cycle 23 is far enough though and I should probably get the hint that I'm flogging a dead horse 😆 my dc is amazing so it's time to stop being greedy

rainbowsockstoday · 29/03/2017 08:02

Ohhhh just counted ahead and April may are the last months for a bit because June is fertile week whilst we are in Greece at my brothers wedding so that's not happening!

CakesALot · 29/03/2017 08:58

Sorry @rainbowsockstoday and @Sophsta. Onwards and upwards with the next one. Take some time to plan your strategy for this month. I find it helps me.

Welcome @olicat! Cd1 is the day to plan and think ahead! Also a day for wine in my eyes, the furthest point away from being pg that you'll be!

DH has given me his lurgy. Feeling rough! Cd8 today so would ideally start getting in some dtd but soooo not up for it! Might just have to get busy over the weekend 😉

Hope everyone is well this morning! Xx

CakesALot · 29/03/2017 08:59

What you give power to has power over you. I really like that! It's so true!

loababy · 29/03/2017 10:18

Hi all,

I'm new to all of this - well actually I've been more of a silent reader the last few months and now I've decided to get serious and join in.

Thanks to the lovely @Roseandbee for pointing me in the direction of this chat. I'm really trying to use positivity, law of attraction & just general mindset on my journey of pregnancy and motherhood. AF just finished I'm ready for a new month with a happy, relaxed, healthy approach :)

@missmagpie I'm off to Italy in May - can't wait for sunshine & relaxation.

Hippychic79 · 29/03/2017 11:08

cakes - I love that ... cd1 being the furthest day away from pg. sorry to hear you got the lurgy ... dp and I were both porky back in January and missed a whole cycle, fx you make a speedy recovery for the wk end 🤗😘

Welcome to thread PMA loababy ,... we're all about PMA, meditation, visualisation and mindfullness on this thread. Don't get me wrong - we do all have a little whinge now and again - especially on cd1 which is allowed 😂.... but generally speaking we prefer to have a laugh and support each other with kind words and laughter .... so hop on board and enjoy our banter xxx

Hello Ladies!!

I haven't posted for a week, trying to take a reeeeeealy relaxed approach this month. But I've been reading the thread and keep popping in hoping for another BFP (come on guys, we can do this!!)

So sorry to anyone who has had BFN or AF this last week Flowers and Wine for you all.

I'm on CD20 and don't still don't think I've OV yet (should be today/tomorrow hopefully) but as I'm not really tracking it I don't really know Grin

And I had my first session of acupuncture yesterday which was fab. The acupuncturist said that we all have meridians through our body and they all connect to create a circuit, and it's really common when you have a c section for them to cut through it? So she's working on reconnecting that and also trying to help me to OV earlier. If nothing else, I left there feeling soooo relaxed and had the best night sleep that I've had in years!!

Hippychic79 · 29/03/2017 12:15

Hi Archies - I was wondering how you were getting on... your influence helped me to take a more relaxed approach this cycle too. It's great not to stress, but slightly irritating as you don't know when to start counting the days past ovulation... I'm thinking this will massively aid the 2ww and stop me googling 'symptoms at 1 dpo, symptoms at 2dpo etc'. :))

So pleased to hear you enjoyed your acupuncture session, I go every week and can't recommend it highly enough. The fact that you slept so well is a really good sign (I do too), shows your body is responding to it apparently. I convinced DP to go to acupuncture and he had his first session yesterday too - he wasn't sure what he thought of it, I don't even think he realises why he is going (of course i set it up for him), but he say's he will go again. Will you be going again? If so, do you mind me asking how often?

Maybe I will give up testing and opks next month instead of putting my plan in place...

ArchiesMamaBird · 29/03/2017 13:59

Hippy Yeah the control freak in me wants to know exactly when I OV, but it has been nice to not wake up every morning and have to remember to take my BBT/POAS!

The acupuncturist said that she wants to see me again in a fortnight. (I'm having an ultrasound and internal scan done next Thursday to check that my ovaries/uterus etc all look ok, so I think she wants to wait until all of that is done first)

Hippychic79 · 29/03/2017 14:30

Rainbow I think its nice to have a bit of a plan, but then sometimes you just need to be flexible and go with the flow. Making small incremental changes that last in terms of diet and exercise are far better than drastic changes that shock your body and drop off a cliff after a couple of months.

Archies Yep I'm exactly the same, the control freak in me is very angry that I didn't poas, I can't temp as DP doesn't know we're officially trying yet... but if i could temp in front of him, i would be doing that I'm sure (I did buy a thermometer, but was jumping out of bed and testing in the bathroom, which i now realise was wrong, as it wasn't waking temp lol, #spotthewally)

Good luck with your scans next Thursday hun.

Pleased to hear you are going back for more acupuncture. Is your acupuncturist male or female? (just wondered, I know its random) and also do you mind me asking how much they charged? how long your session was? And how many needles you had? Sorry for all the questions - completely understand if you'd rather not share.

My acupuncturist is male, charges £15 for x2 sessions which are 50-60 minutes each and i have 6-8 needles depending on where i am in my cycle. i have the needles on my feet and legs mainly.

sorry to bore everyone else with this

ArchiesMamaBird · 29/03/2017 16:08

Hippy It's a lady that did it. It cost £60 for a 2 hour session, she started on my back (not sure how many needles, but felt quite a lot), and she said that that was a detox. Then she did Moxibustion on my legs and stomach (she said that I had some cold energy), then put a needle in my ankle, wrist and one in each ear.

She said it will be £40 for my next session which will be an hour long. She seemed like one of the cheapest that I could find locally, and she's Zita West trained so I'm hoping for good things!

rainbowsockstoday · 29/03/2017 16:13

Two questions....

1: does acupuncture work?

2: do you think the fact I usually get straight up after sex and walk around for ages might be hindering our chances?

Dollydaydream2829 · 29/03/2017 16:21

Hi ladies,

Sorry to hear about your BFNs sophsta and rainbows - maybe fate has plans for Xmas babies for you both!

Hi archies - hope you're enjoying your super relaxed cycle and acupuncture. I've always been intrigued by acupuncture, alternative medicines, herbal remedies etc - I think there's a lot to be said for them. FX it helps!

I've had a pretty scary couple of days. Started spotting Monday night and had crampy pain. Still the same kind of pain I'd had since my BFP but considering I'd had no bleeding, I'd taken it as normal. However when I woke up this morning, I had a gush. Thankfully I was due to work this morning and so managed to phone EPU (early pregnancy unit) which is next door and my lovely colleague scanned me. Fortunately, my scan looked good and i saw a heartbeat and measured me at 7+3, however they have listed me as a 'threatened miscarriage' due to the amount of bleeding so I've to go in again for a scan in a couple weeks if I don't bleed heavy before then. It's a very upsetting thought but unfortunately not anything I can control, therefore I'm going to do everything in my power to stay positive minded and focus on this pregnancy continuing and having a lovely bundle of babyness to cuddle at the end of the year. As the midwife said to me, my little bean is deciding to cling on at the moment so it must mean it REALLY wants to meet me.

Anyway, enough about me! Anyone due a BFP in the next few days? We're really overdue some again!!

ArchiesMamaBird · 29/03/2017 16:33

Oh Dolly, so sorry to hear that. It must have been so scary for you. But I agree that your little bean is hanging in there, and hopefully this is just a little blip. Cheeky monkey playing you up already eh Smile

Get lots of rest, and definitely keep up with the PMA xx

CakesALot · 29/03/2017 16:40

Oh @Dollydaydream2829, that is so scary, bugs hugs for you hun. Hopefully just a little bump in the road. I'm sure I've said before but inspired daily from weeks 5 to 9 with DD and had 3 full gushes of blood in up to 7 weeks. Early scan at 7+5 showed no issues and no reason for it so they assumed it was hormone related. Whatever was going on, she held on tight and made it to 38 weeks! Everything crossed for you lovely. Rest up and keep positive xx

CakesALot · 29/03/2017 16:41

Inspires should say 'I spotted'. Speedy typing thumbs on my phone!!

Itsjustaphase84 · 29/03/2017 17:01

@Dollydaydream2829 everything Will be OK. It's reassuring to hear stories like Cakes

@ArchiesMamaBird I'm taking relaxed approach too. I check in every few days to see if any bfp. Keep us posted with the scan.

Maybe tmi but I had a ridiculous amount of ewcm at work today. It was actually.. Errr... Hanging off my when I wiped Blush. I've never seen so much of it.im not opk'ing but I imagine ov is near.

MissMagpie · 29/03/2017 17:18

Oh Dolly how scary for you. Glad the little beam is hanging in there. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Xx

Sorry for the BFNs today. You're not out til AF shows though.

Roseandbee · 29/03/2017 18:10

Love the PMA quote hippy

sorry about the bfns!
And Dolly sorry to hear you had such a scare, Im glad the first scans turned out well though. Well done for staying positive its the best thing for you and your little bean x

Im only just coming up to my tww as just got my positive opk today
Ive got slightly different opks this month, still one step cheapies but they are wider than the old ones. This morning at 9am I was just faint line so def negative and 11am it turned to def positive. I tested twice because i usually get my positive today.

Hi Loa! glad you found us:) and hi Olicat

Oh and we are also considering Italy this year. went to lake garda a couple of years ago and loved it.

Dollydaydream2829 · 29/03/2017 18:55

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone! That's so reassuring cakes - although I'm sure a worrying time for you at that point as well. It's madness what the human body puts you through at times!
Just when you think you can relax slightly in your symptom - filled first trimester, in it comes with a curveball..... #preperationformotherhood

Sounds positive phase and dolly get DTD tonight and make your Xmas babies!!

That sounds incredibly scary Dollydaydream2829. Glad to hear the EPU are on it. Positive thoughts coming your way.

Still no AF which is irritating. Ready to get started on cycle 2! Feeling positive and planning on writing down three positive things before bed to get cycle 2 off to a good start. Can't remember who suggested it but it has stuck with me!
