Aw Hippy PMA is so hard the few days after AF arrives. I've been struggling as well but we will pick ourselves back up again.

Know what you mean archies about trying everything and nothing seems to bloody work. It's infuriating.

I have my bloods taken tomorrow an then have to wait two weeks for results to see if they've change. CD4 for me today so hoping this week hurries up and Easter weekend arrives and we will all be back on PMA bang wagon!!!

Xxx

ArchiesMamaBird · 10/04/2017 12:47

Love it Bella!!

Good luck Anna, got everything crossed for you that your bloods all come back ok for you

BellaMoon · 10/04/2017 12:48

ladies, please remind me, how do we work out DPO again? i got peak OPKs sunday 02/04 (am). would monday 03/04 be 1dpo or do you add the 24/36hours from peak? sorry having a brain burp xx

Sophsta · 10/04/2017 13:01

hippy I completely get what you mean about CD 1-5. I was thoroughly miserable this time last week.

dolly good luck at your scan!

Just been on a lovely horse ride and sitting in front of Mad Men now. Seem to have used all my energy!

Anna2006 · 10/04/2017 13:57

Bella would say ovulation is day after positive OPK roughly. So 1DPO is two days after positive OPK.

Good luck for scan Dolly. Sending you lots of good vibes xxxx

AmandaP86x · 10/04/2017 14:02

That would make me 11DPO then today. Ovia says I could take test today though 🤔

CakesALot · 10/04/2017 15:09

I would go with what feels right to you @AmandaP86x rather than ovia. Those apps drive me bonkers!

Good luck @Dollydaydream2829! Sure everything will be just fine

Amazing @BellaMoon! Awesome summer look!

Hippychic79 · 10/04/2017 15:41

Dolly Good luck with your scan chic xxx

Thank you for empathizing with me ladies - I have been feeling like a right Negative Nancy these last few days... I know this is super melo dramatic... but since ttc... the arrival of my period has gone from a celebratory sigh of relief - toasted only by voddy to an end of the world, most upsetting event ever - toasted only by voddy...

Archies Does your dh smoke much? I've just got my dp to give up, he's almost on day 50....
apparently (here comes mrs. ttc mastermind)... it takes 60 days for sperm to generate so in 10 days time i can look forward to sperm that hasn't be affected by his smoking.... although i hasten to add that he vapes like a chimney and I'm sure that isn't ideal either!!!

Bloody men.... they have no idea of how important it is to stay healthy.... I'm sure they all think they're super heroes, made of super hero invisible 'stuff'.... grrrrrrrrr

I agree with Anna on the DPO thing - i always count on the second day from the peak

I also agree with Cakes - apps drive me bonkers too... they can't predict fack all.... in fact i definitely blame my first 3 failed cycles on those bastards :)))))

Sorry for my negative ranting ....

The witch nicked my PMA

@hippy "invisible" works too!

I had my smear test today to confirm or deny an sti that may be the reason I cannot carry a proper baby. Last thing I ever thought it would be as Ive never had nor been treated for an sti but my blood says otherwise. For those struggling for a long while it might be worth a check (no casting aspersions just saying in case)

I also saw my psychologist today who thinks I'm certifiably nuts!

PMA Express to BFP #4
ArchiesMamaBird · 10/04/2017 16:05

Hippy He used to smoke about 20 a day, then quite over Christmas for about a month and he's started again now, but I don't think he's smoking quite as much. But he's promised he'll quit again because he knows how important it is to me (and yes he definitely thinks he's superman with super strong swimmers Hmm). He's going for a sperm analysis at next month, and he had to ring to change the appt today because he has a big meeting, and he called me to say "My new appt is 25th May, but you'll be preggers by then so we won't need it" Grin

AmandaP86x · 10/04/2017 16:09

Yeh ano they can't be right I suppose! Thinking of doing a chilled cycle
Next month no OPKs or charting or looking at app lol! See what happens!

BellaMoon · 10/04/2017 16:35

thanks ladies, so essentially peak on 02/04 - 03/04 so 04/04 would be 1dpo.

well that makes me cd21 and 7dpo - jeeeeezzzz this is DRAGGING in #sake #aminutelastsalifetime

@rainbowsockstoday wow i'd never thought of an STD complicating a pregnancy before, i'm pretty clueless when it comes to this. if you don't mind me asking, is it treatable? therefore you can try again in time? x

hellybellyjellybean · 10/04/2017 19:33

Hello ladies, been a bit mia lately as trying not to think too much about this whole ttc business but as soon as fw has come round again I'm back to it! This is month number six and this is the one that's got me a bit panicked if it doesn't happen this month. Anyways got a bit of travelzoo deal so whisked DH away for the night for a bit of baby making fun! Anyway did us both good, let's just hope it is the month! I'm gong to need a few days to go back over all I've missed but hope all is well, whose the next to test?! Pma all the way!!!

rainbowsockstoday · 10/04/2017 19:37

Honestly @bellamoon I have no idea. As I said I have never been treated for an sti and therefore had no idea it might be a problem. It unfortunately means I've had it for about 7yrs so it's probably done some pretty serious damage. The sti itself is treatable but any damage will not be. I have an X-ray booked in provisionally and had an internal ultrasound last week. From the ultrasound she said she can't see anything but the X-ray will make sure. I have no idea how I'm going to explain it to DH though that I've given him a nasty!

sarahboro1 · 10/04/2017 20:32

Professor Brian Cox!!! Now we're talking ladies!!! I even saw D:ream in concert back in the day #lifegoals #thisgirlsawinner!! 🏆 Honestly girls I feel like a dog on heat at the moment!!! 🐶 Let's hope I don't start sniffing bums and squirting at work!! 😂

Hippy I think you should go for it!! 'Miss Hippy your subject is ttc and your time starts now!!' 😂 Seriously tho Hun all your feelings are totally normal and it's completely unfair but trust in the universe, you'll get your bfp. Xx

Oh rainbow what a nightmare!! But now you know you can get some treatment and fx get this all sorted out. 💐

Hey helly good to have you back and full of pma!! 😘

Good luck tomorrow Dolly!!! Let us know how it goes and how big sticky bean is now!!! 😍 Xx

rainbowsockstoday · 10/04/2017 20:43

Just to make it clear I don't DEFINITELY have an sti. I have antibodies for one which suggests I have had one of the three forms of chlamydia (only one is an sti the others are avian flu and chest infection type). My test today was to check it's not an sti or if it is what to do. It's estimated over two thirds of the population have had/will have an sti in their lifetime. They're confused though as to why in the four years we have been together neither of us has had symptoms. Plus the baby hasn't either and I'll have had it whilst pregnant!

The funniest thing has happened tonight. DH has been complaining of a poorly tummy all day and I was starting to worry about him. I went to make him a cuppa tonight and the milk he has been drinking all weekend was practically cheese. He even commented about it being funny on Friday morning and still didn't do anything about it! DS only has breastmilk so didn't have any (luckily as he's already poorly) and I am dairy free by choice so didn't notice. I shouldn't find it so funny but I do! 😝🤢

sarahboro1 · 10/04/2017 20:59

Bork rainbow!!! Didn't he notice floaters in his tea??!! #somedaystheydeserveittho!!! 😂

sarahboro1 · 10/04/2017 21:00

Thought some of you might appreciate this!! Xx

He's a massive Doyle! He's annoyed I find it funny but I'm only human.

sarahboro1 · 10/04/2017 21:17

Doyle!!!! You can tell we're from the same area I say that all the time!!! 😂 Xx

rainbowsockstoday · 10/04/2017 21:21

Thought that would make you smile @sarahboro1

AmandaP86x · 10/04/2017 23:04

Oh rainbow sounds yuck!!! How did u get on at hospital last week? Seen u say u were 11 weeks but u had had a BFN wonder how that happened 🤔 No wonder we don't trust these tests !!

rainbowsockstoday · 10/04/2017 23:33

They told us 11 weeks based on size. The baby was developing in the right side tube and therefore had to be removed. That's why I had the blood tests and ultrasounds. Had another ultrasound Saturday and a smear test today. My bloods showed previous antibodies which is suggestive of an infection sometime in my life. It might have been years ago and cured because I had something else and the antibiotics caught both... might have been when I was in bed for over a week with a chest infection after getting swine flu from a lovely germ factory child at school who vommed all over me before saying they didn't feel well.

Either way I had no idea I had/have chlamydia because it's been asymptomatic for what could have been 6/7 years. Not a single clue or else I would have rightly done something about it. I get the results in a week maybe and I am waiting for a letter about the X-rays to check the extent of damage from baby and potential PID which was also asymptomatic. The baby did not require removal of my tube and was "ideally located" they said for non invasive removal. It was no longer developing and they suspect the pain that alerted us was a miscarriage so there was no chance for him/her anyway. The BFN thing was probably down to the placement and the fact that I don't think I test well (DC was 9 weeks before I realised I was pg and it was the faintest of lines till about 14weeks).

So that's my story. I've also had a week of sick child and a day of sick DH so I've not really had any thinking time about it. We have decided we are not going to tell our family or friends and DH said because we didn't know I was pg we haven't lost anything really. In a way he's dealing with it by just moving on and denying it. I want to look at the positives in that we might have a reason that we are not conceiving and might be able to fix it. My little sprout has shown us that so their life was entirely worthwhile and had more meaning to our family than anyone will know. I honestly believe everything happens for a reason and fate has a hand on things to play out the bigger picture. It's horrible and I cry everyday for what could have been but I can't change it and I can't dwell on everything because I have to be grateful for the tiny little boy who holds my hand to sleep at night.

But yes the milk thing was gross and I feel like a detective solving "the runny bottom mystery" 🤢
