Another month, another period. I was due af yesterday but had no sign but today I've had brown tinged cm so she'll be here tomorrow.

Anyone else out for March already? Feel free to join in my misery lol

Oh and I am starting opks this month. Interested about all this testing at work, can I not just do it morning/evening? How many should I do a day? I normally have 2weeks of ewcm so a large window!!

Beardy1 · 14/03/2017 19:28

mama I have a similar situation. It worked last time I conceived so I'm gonna keep with the same method. I'm away for a night tomorrow so I'm getting the hubby to prep himself ready for fw. Ha.

satsoooma · 14/03/2017 19:38

Once a day should be fine boatrace. The key is that it be the same time every day.

They say 2pm is ideal, but the window is 12-8pm. You could try testing when you get home for a cycle and see how you get on. Don't bother in the morning though. The LH hormone is produced in the morning and does not show up in a test until the afternoon.

A slightly weirder approach would be to collect urine at work, but wait until you are home to take the test. No reason it would not work, if you find that testing after work is not getting results.

Oysterbabe · 14/03/2017 19:51

I do my OPK when I get in from work at about 6.

I has a tiny bit of pink cm today and got really excited that AF might be starting but nothing since, I think I frightened it away with my excitement.

MotherofUnicorns · 14/03/2017 20:41

Hi
I do my opks when I get home from work - between 5 and 6.
I will have to carry around a pot and a packet tomorrow though as I'm going out straight from work.....classy.
Cd10 here abd going to start dtd every other day from tomorrow.

Deep breath. Wish me luck!!

MrsHandles · 14/03/2017 20:48

Ooh can I join please?

Age: 30 (31 in April)
TTC: #1
Cycle: lord knows, it's complicated

So I'm still having irregular cycles after stopping Yasmin in January 2016. DH and I started half-trying straight away, he was then deployed from June to December (thank you Royal Navy), however I lost my mother in October very suddenly and unexpectedly. I think this had a long lasting impact on me than I want to admit.
DH and I now trying again but don't really know how to track etc. I'm using Ovia app and take my temperature each morning. I have some OPKs hanging around in the bathroom, anyone fancy explaining when's the best time to use them?

Thanks to Facebook, I feel like I'm the only person in the world at the moment not pregnant. Nice to see I'm not. Cheers for the collective hand hold everyone!

Gosh, that was very long, wasn't it?!

KittyKat73 · 14/03/2017 21:30

Thanks everyone I was just wondering if there was any other signs to look out for that others have experienced.

Satsoooma I have my CB ovulation sticks prepped and ready to use! think the other type of sticks might be a bit confusing to use for me for first time will prob switch to them eventually :)

Also i didnt realise the morning wasnt the best time to use the OPK i just assumed first pee of the day! Anyone know is that the same with the CB ones?

MrsHandles Sorry to hear about your mother Flowers i think stress and grief will have an affect on your cycle so that could be contributing to it. Im the same with the facebook situation its like being pregnant is as popular as pokemon go was just now! literally everyon is preggers on mine.

MrsHandles · 14/03/2017 21:51

Thanks Kitty Facebook can be the bloody devil at times, especially when every flaming person has something you want! It's definitely like Pokemon Go Grin

satsoooma · 14/03/2017 21:59

It should be the same for all OPK brands Kitty. Test at the same time each day, between noon and 8pm, ideally closer to 2pm if you can manage it.

boatrace30 · 14/03/2017 22:01

Thanks satsooma. And I know what you all mean about everyone being pregnant.
For many reasons I keep toying with deleting Facebook from my phone but I can never quite manage too!
Sorry mrshandles. Fx for some good news soon. Xx

AF (or BFP!) due 4th April

I you had asked me a year ago I would have said no way do I want a December baby. However, Im at the stage where I just want a baby now!

AngharadTheSplendid · 15/03/2017 02:30

Thanks boatrace I suspect you are right and I should wait until 7 months to wean her off BF. With DD1 stopping at 6 months was pretty easy as she always loved bottles and wasn't that fussed about boob. This one is the total opposite!

Welcome mrshandles and very sorry to hear about your mum Flowers

Mummymathsteacher · 15/03/2017 06:44

Losing the plot today. AF now 2/3 days late and a million bfns. No signs or symptoms of anything. Just want to start a new cycle now!

MrsHandles · 15/03/2017 06:58

FX mummy I'm on day 4 of AF. Hope yours starts soon and mine ends so we can get cracking.

boatrace30 · 15/03/2017 07:52

CD14 here and have ewcm. The earliest ever in my cycle. So I am hopeful that the agnus castus in taking is having an effect! Now time to get busy ShockBlush and hope for the best!

KittyKat73 · 15/03/2017 12:59

Thanks Satsoooma thank god you mentioned that ori would have cluelessly been using it!

Username FX for you!

im CD4 to gearing uo to start using my CB Ovulation sticks. Since i have no idea how long this cycle will last just going to start using them the day after my AF finishes.

I already have a Christmas baby. Not so bad tbh. Although dc is only 1 so not got lots of experience.

Just a question about testing when TTC. Do you test every month before AF or just wait to see if AF arrives? My periods are so irregular so it's hard to tell when I'm due or not.

It took me 18months to get a bfp last time. Hoping it will be quicker this time round. Now my body knows what to do.

boatrace30 · 15/03/2017 13:18

coragreta. I'm irregular so have always tested from two weeks after possible conception and kept testing every 2-3days until AF arrives. Get some super cheap tests from Amazon and then this needn't cost a fortune.

coragreta · 15/03/2017 14:11

Boatrace, doesn't that get a bit depressing. Can't imagine getting so many bfn. Sad

satsoooma · 15/03/2017 14:38

Ugh, still no sign of a line on my OPKs. My ovaries feel sore though, so I think that they are working on it. Mostly the right one, but the left is feeling a bit tender too. CD 14, so feeling super impatient over here.

allthecheese · 15/03/2017 16:54

Ahhh satsooma I'm one day behind you on CD 13 and still no line for me either. Why can't ovaries be better behaved and do what I want, when I want?!

Trying to be very positive this month and just hope for the best - work is set to be mad busy so really hoping that works as a good distraction as I'm a nightmare during the TWW. Doing clear blue digi OPKs and temping to confirm ovulation and think we might go for EOD as SMEP almost killed hubby us last month.

Also getting reflexology every month to see if that makes a difference and taking Proxeed.

Fingers crossed for some BFPs on this thread!

boatrace30 · 15/03/2017 21:37

Depressing - yes! I've had 40 bfns this time round! Sad

Thingymaboob · 15/03/2017 21:47

Fertile week starts in a few days. How are you all feeling about dtd? We have been together 10 years and it's still good but.... how do you get in the mood? My DH feels the pressure, as I'm sure they all do.

boatrace30 · 15/03/2017 22:16

thingyme we can struggle to. It's hard sometimes especially after a long day at work etc. When it's the last thing either of us want to do!!
