Another month, another period. I was due af yesterday but had no sign but today I've had brown tinged cm so she'll be here tomorrow.

Anyone else out for March already? Feel free to join in my misery lol

Ugh I've had a few hot flushes this week, a few dodgy tummies and the tiniest bit of spotting. Almost certain I'm not pregnant but what is my body up to?!?! Hmm

Carlotta82248 · 16/03/2017 12:34

Trying some PMA today, back to Slimming World, back on my vitamins, OPKs ordered and a GP appt for Monday for some reassurance x

Oldschool41 · 16/03/2017 12:39

I'm going to be testing with clear blue dual ovulation kit starting from the 21st for the first time. Hopefully this will give me a better chance for April TTC. Anybody used this before? Any advice would be appreciated 😀

florafoxtrot · 16/03/2017 13:09

Hi oldskool I use Clear Blue and it seems to work pretty well for me (I also temp so that confirms ovulation is 1/2 days after the solid smiley) I did once have about 10 days of flashing smileys though which was really annoying!
I'm on Day2 of a flashing smiley today so will let you know if it continues to behave for me!

satsoooma · 16/03/2017 14:50

Got a medium sort of line on my OPK today. It is definitely not a positive, but I sometimes get a fade-in pattern for a day or so before the real positive. Ovaries still sore, so hoping for ov. tomorrow or Saturday.

Oysterbabe · 16/03/2017 16:22

AF has arrived, finally GrinGrinGrin 9 days late.
Here we go then, CD1

MrsHandles · 16/03/2017 17:07

Ok so I've established I'm on CD5 now. When do I start with the OPKs please?

satsoooma · 16/03/2017 17:13

Use OPKs from CD11 if you have a 28 day cycle. Add/subtract days if your cycle is longer/shorter than that. If you have irregular cycles, just use your shortest cycle in the last 6 months.

florafoxtrot · 16/03/2017 17:13

How long is your cycle mrs handles? And are you using cheapy OPKs or CB or similar?

florafoxtrot · 16/03/2017 17:14

satsooma smashed that answer Star

satsoooma · 16/03/2017 19:24

haha flora! I have been at this for way too long now and put far, far too much thought into the details of how to use OPKs Blush.

coragreta · 16/03/2017 19:36

I only used opks once and I didn't get any results all cycle so just gave up and DTD as much as possible regardless.

Beardy1 · 16/03/2017 20:01

Mrs handles, I can totally agree with how you feel after losing your mum. I lost my mum in June last year and it's taken me a long time to feel ready to actually ttc properly. The stress and anxiety is the worst. I eventually had bereavement counselling as well as acupuncture to help regulate my periods. Big hugs your way, I know you will get through it but I'm happy to chat if u need to.

MrsHandles · 16/03/2017 21:41

Thanks for all your responses and thank you beardy it's comforting to know others are in the same position. Sorry for your loss also. My cycles are so irregular at the moment, however I've just seen off AF (4days long) after a 25 day cycle, fingers crossed I'm settling into some sort of routine.

I have cheapy OPKs. I might start using them on Monday, which would make it CD9, does this sound about right?

Beardy1 · 17/03/2017 06:32

Mrs handles I had a siimilat thing with short periods. When I used opk I would start using them earlier on due to my irregular periods so would start after my period stopped. It's much cheaper if you use the internet cheapies. I just think stress throws them out all over the place. I was comforted to c that I ovulated initially as I bought the stress had stopped that too.

Your periods will start to sort themselves out with time. Although I remember hating hearing all this stuff about time healing and your body will be ready when it wants etc. I just wanted to get pregnant and get on with my life. I'll keep fingers and toes crossed for some baby dust.

MrsHandles · 17/03/2017 06:42

They've been irregular since stopping the pill in Jan 16, so annoying! Hoping April bus is the one for all of us

MotherofUnicorns · 17/03/2017 12:13

Hi everyone
i am heading into FW here, cd13 and got a 'high' reading on the CB monitor this morning meaning oestrogen has risen but not LH yet.
Medium readings on internet cheapies (which i do in the evening).
DTD cd11 and will go for it tonight.
We have to literally book it in a couple of weeks beforehand! I can't bring myself to when we have visitors so that always throws things out (!) and DH doesn't like the pressure if he's had a few beers so we planned a weds / fri / sun / tues / thurs etc rotation last week! Who said romance was dead!!
Good luck everyone!

KittyKat73 · 17/03/2017 14:51

Hey everyone!

Im CD6 and looks like today might be last day of AF (hopefuly) so if shes gone tomorrow ill start using my CB ovulation tests. No idea how long my cycle will be since this is the first one I have had since decemeber haha fingers crossed for a lovely normal 28 day Grin

Good luck everyone! hope you all have a lovely weekend

Mimilicious013 · 17/03/2017 16:54

Thanks @kitkat, have a great weekend too and good luck with the opks and catching the egg.

Best of luck @unicorns , @sats and all in and approaching fw.

@mrshandles, really hope April brings luck to us all.

Anymore spotting @flixy?did you post?

Happy Friday everyone Wine

satsoooma · 17/03/2017 17:05

OMG oyster and Mimi. 9 days late! I would have gone nuts!

I got a maybe positive OPK today. Not sure if that is it, or if I'll get a real positive tomorrow. We've DTD on the right days, might add another day or two on for good luck.

I'm feeling crazy anxious about this cycle. Just trying to make a list of ways to stay sane and relaxed for the next two weeks (especially the weekends). Any ideas?

Mummymathsteacher · 17/03/2017 17:42

Wow mimi and oyster, that must have been awful. I'm currently 4 days late, bfn and going out of my mind. Can't imagine another five days!

Definitely cracking open the wine tonight.

Mimilicious013 · 17/03/2017 17:52

Cheers @mummy Wine , hope yours is a late bfp instead. Fx.

The tww is the worst @sats , especially the 2nd week because that's when you expect the symptoms to start. No ideas for you hun, just that try and enjoy before nausea kicks in after the bfp Wink

boatrace30 · 17/03/2017 18:51

satsooma just try and keep as busy as possible. Phone all your friends and book things in so you constantly have something else to think about!
Haha, not that you won't still be thinking about it all while busy!

MotherofUnicorns · 17/03/2017 20:42

satsooma maybe switch off your wifi so you can't constantly google 'early pregnancy symptoms' or 'is insert random shite a symptom of early pregnancy' etc!!
I am the worst for that..... my internet search history is VERY revealing!!
Good luck......

Emz01 · 17/03/2017 21:47

Hi Ladies.

I'm jumping aboard! I was originally on the January bus and got my BFP, unfortunately at 6 weeks I suffered a MC and was absolutely devastated. We decided to have a break for a couple of months but now feel ready to try again.

TTC #2 DS is 2 1/2
Cycles usually 28 days, AF due 24/03 and will then officially start trying.

Fingers crossed for everyone trying for an April BFP! Who cares if it's a Christmas baby as long as they are here, happy and healthy!
