Another month, another period. I was due af yesterday but had no sign but today I've had brown tinged cm so she'll be here tomorrow.

Anyone else out for March already? Feel free to join in my misery lol

Hi ladies!

Can I join you? I've TTC since May 2015. Mc in August 2015 and chemical in Nov 2016.
AF just arrived today, one day early. Just 4 days before my birthday :(

satsoooma · 13/03/2017 14:50

Just done my first OPK of the cycle. Got a medium-faint line. I'm not expecting to actually ov. until Saturday, but I took my clomid earlier than usual this month, so am aware that may bring the ovulation forward too. Don't want to miss it!

Hi cotton. Sounds like you have been TTC for a while, are you getting any fertility treatment?

Haha thingymaboob! I find it crazy that people's partners aren't reading up on this stuff and asking questions about what CD they are on. Not that mine is that well informed either.

Beardy1 · 13/03/2017 15:46

ttcnovice**im at the end of my period today so should be ttc by the end of week. Here we go again.

I see what you both mean about the exhaustion. It became so tiring doing it every day and not as fun. We do it every other day if we can and I lie flat afterwards in the hope.

Carlotta82248 · 13/03/2017 16:20

Hey all! What a lovely bunch you all are! Hoping for success for us all! I'm CD28 with the most regular 27 day cycle.....loads of BFNs and an almighty skintness, my body must just hate me! Not a hint of AF or a BFP Hmm

Firsttimeandclueless · 13/03/2017 19:14

Oh ttcnovice the struggle is real :p
No idea if it will even work but we were just so exhausted :)

8-18! That is very impressive!!
I am so well armed this month, using CB fertility monitor, CB OPKs and taking folic acid! So should be able to pinpoint peaks for DTD.

Before we started TTC, I honestly thought you just came off the pill and got pregnant :P

Did my first OPK this morning too Satsooma

Kittykat89 · 13/03/2017 21:20

Hi All! Is it okay ifor I join too? I'm totally and utterly clueless and have had to Google a number of acronyms to get this far andown sign up on here!

I am:
Age 28
TTC#1
Cycle 1
CD 5

Anyone temping to try to track ovulation? Recommended at all?

Good luck to everyone for a BFP in April!

Xx

allthecheese · 13/03/2017 21:26

I'm CD 11 but OPKs are completely blank. Grrr. So I'm not going to try and wear myself and DH dtd at the moment. Worried I'll miss it though. Ahhh why is TTC so stressful?!?! Does anyone else carry around a little pot to wee in and have to OPK at work somehow?!

cottoncandee · 13/03/2017 21:42

@satsoooma no I don't because we did conceive even tho they ended with MCs. But I recently moved to Vienna and it is a bit easier here to enquire for investigations on any possible problems relating to conceiving. Downside is most OBs here seem to be emotionless. The one that handled my chemical/mc in November just asked me if I want D&C or medication without explaining what had happened or asking me to wait and see (which is kinda the procedure in UK).

cottoncandee · 13/03/2017 21:47

@allthecheese nope but I would wake up in the morning, still half awake and pee in a tiny pot and dip the CB digital OPK and wait forever for it to show the result. Is it just me or when you do it first thing in the morning it always feels like that?Confused

AngharadTheSplendid · 14/03/2017 04:24

Hello everyone, please can I join.

Age: 33
TTC: #3
No idea
No idea!

DD2 turns 6 months in April and we would like a small gap, so I plan to finish bf and hopefully get my fertility back (not even a hint of ovulation or AF since she was born).

The only problem with this masterful plan is that she absolutely refuses a bottle no matter how hard I try... anyone got any tips on weaning a die hard bottle refuser?

Carlotta82248 · 14/03/2017 08:56

CD1, thanks AF, so enjoyed you being 2 days late this month for fun!

Beardy1 · 14/03/2017 09:26

sorry to hear that carlotta. It's such a nightmare when it comes late. You can join our April trying. I'm on cd6 so will be fw at the end of the week.

satsoooma · 14/03/2017 10:42

That sounds annoying cottoncandee. I think that you probably could get some help, even with the MCs, but obviously if you are abroad, that is a bit different.

allthecheese, I do OPKs at work - always at 2pm. I have irregular cycles, so sometimes I have to test from CD11-21. I go to the loo at noon and then try not to drink too much at lunch. I have a tiny (30ml) jam jar and an envelope with amazon cheapie OPKs. Both can fit in the pockets of my jeans. I usually do the test, wash up and then put the OPK (back in its little foil packet) in my pocket while I go make tea. After 10 mins, I stop by the loos again on my way back to my desk to check the result.

Can anyone else feel their follicles growing? I totally can! I don't know if it is beacuse I have never ovulated before (PCOS) so the feeling is new and I notice it, or because I already have way more follicles than I should, so when one or two grow to the proper size, my ovaries get kind of swollen and sore. Anyway, it is really cool to be able to tell that the follicle on my right ovary is doing well this cycle Smile.

ttcnovice · 14/03/2017 11:08

Sorry carlotta Sad** it's so much worse when you're late as well Flowers

ttcnovice · 14/03/2017 11:11

Ha Firsttime I don't know about impressive but there certainly won't be a repeat this month!! Haven't told DH that yet, wish me luck Grin. Good luck using the CB OPKs, they're definitely worth the cost to get a definitive yes/no!

Firsttimeandclueless · 14/03/2017 11:18

Hahahha ttcnovice poor DH, he might expect the same performance every month! Wishful thinking :P

Who knew this TTC business was so tiring?? Honestly thought I would come off my pill and be getting BFP results the following month.

The irony when we spend half of our adult life trying desperately not to get pregnant :P #whatislife

KittyKat73 · 14/03/2017 12:57

Satsoooma thats so crazy that you can feel it all! at least you know they are doing their job and getting all ready for you :)

Firsttime I thought exactly the same When i stopped taking the pill in the june i started coutning 9 months ahead and thinking right thats fine ill give birth by then blah blah ......... maybe not!

Carlotta Sorry to hear AF got you [Flowers]

Angharah Oh dear sorry im useless with baby information I can only suggest bribery

I know Temping seems to be one of the most accurate ways to tell if you are ovulating but has anyone had any symptoms that indicated they did?

Because I work a mix of Day and Night shift temping probably wont work for me but during my cycles at a certain point of my cycle i would get intensely sore nipples! like crazy sore and when i got my AF and i counted back i thought oh that must have been around the time I ovulated. When my AF disappeared for over 3 months i never got sore nipples at all which would make sense thinking well i never ovulated thats why AF never appeared.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a symptom that they link to ovulation.

Beardy1 · 14/03/2017 13:59

Kitty- for me ovulation has become really obvious after months of trying. For 2 days before I have lots of ewcm and get the horn (tmi). I then start to get ovary pain and uncomfortable when I sit. I know I've ovulated when my boobs are sore and my cm is thicker (tmi). My temps will go up at the same time as boob soreness. Hope that helps.

satsoooma · 14/03/2017 14:00

kittykat73 I get spots and find that I put on about a kg of weight out of nowhere. You'd only notice that if you were weighing yourself first thing every morning though. Could you use OPKs?

Mimilicious013 · 14/03/2017 14:00

Hie ladies, can look join too
Mimi
Age36
Cycle 22
Currently waiting for af that is 6 days late with a bfnSad.only have 2 more cycles to try because dh says he is tired of the sex on demand ((that's affecting our relationship )). Initially he was over the moon with lots of dtd but after 2years, we are worn out.

Baby dust all round.

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 14/03/2017 14:54

beardy what's the horn?
I get EWCM, that's the only way I know when I'm ov. Now on cd 6 and just want the Fw to hurry up so I know all this bd-ing is for something. Not sure I will be able to keep up my plan of dtd everyday in my Fw but we shall see!

Beardy1 · 14/03/2017 17:07

Sorry mama, I mean I'm horny. Good uvk with dtd everyday. We will probably try that too.

Does anybody keep laying down /feet in the air afterwards?

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 14/03/2017 19:07

Haha silly me @Beardy1 !
I've been known to lie down for a while just to be sure incase it slips down my leg hahahahaGrin

allthecheese · 14/03/2017 19:08

Oooh great process satsooma, good to know someone else is wandering round the office with a little pot and some OPKs!

Amazing that you can tell that you are ovulating, and all sounds really positive for you. Bring on the BFP!!

I'm still trying to find my feet with ovulation. My cycles are irregular and my DH and I only DTD once a week so not having much luck catching my FW. At the moment I would be ecstatic with a positive OPK!

boatrace30 · 14/03/2017 19:21

angharad. There is a great thread on TTC while breastfeeding/recently weaned. The ladies there can give good advice. But if DC is six months I'd suggest waiting a few weeks so they are well into their solid food. My DD dropped milk feeds hugely at around seven months. I did continue seeing until 14months but probably could have stopped then if I had wanted to. But before that it would have been a huge huge challenge!!

Welcome all other newbies. satsooma, feeling your follicles is amazing. I can never feel anything. Ewcm is the thing I follow most
