Another month, another period. I was due af yesterday but had no sign but today I've had brown tinged cm so she'll be here tomorrow.

Anyone else out for March already? Feel free to join in my misery lol

Out for march, on CD1.

Age: 29
TTC #1
Cycle no 4

Used to say I didn't want a Christmas baby (or a winter baby) but honestly now would be happy no matter the future LO's bday!

kikisparks · 12/03/2017 08:47

So sorry harrypotternerd Flowers

Thingymaboob · 12/03/2017 09:56

Boatrace30- after speaking to my GP this week, she said that short length of period doesn't mean you're not ovulating. I was concerned as mine are now 2/3 days since my MC. They use to be 5. She said if you've had a MC with surgical treatment then it can thin the lining of uterus (mine was natural so god knows what's happening there). She said she can do bloods to see if I'm ovulating.
Harrypotternerd- I'm so sorry - it's such a shitter. I waited 3 months to ttc after MC. I didn't want to have sex and really wasn't emotionally ready. How are you feeling now?

JB1983 · 12/03/2017 10:29

Loitering at the bus stop trying to decide whether to get on or take the next bus!
Been on a break from TTC due to finishing my masters degree and a wedding abroad coming up this September. Not sure whether to have a month off to have a few hundred celebratory drinks at finishing studying or get cracking with TTC. Hmm decisions!

Firsttimeandclueless · 12/03/2017 16:18

Hey everyone!

Was on a wonderful thread from last month TTC and can see a few familiar ladies.
Hope you don't mind if I join in on this one?

It is so lovely to have other ladies to chat with as my poor DH must be brain dead from my obsession with OPKs and FRER Grin

Age: 26
TTC: #1
Cycle: 3
CD: 5

Looking forward to getting to know everyone! Fingers crossed this is our month.

KittyKat73 · 12/03/2017 16:23

Hey everyone

Im jumping on the bus!

Age:28
TTC#1
Cycle 6
CD1 ( Which im happy about!)

Loooong story short. Came off microgynan pill in June 2016 after 11 years. Each cycle length was different but slowly getting shorter. first one was 42 days and november was 32 days. I had my last AF on December 1st and then nothing...... after countless BFNs i went to my GP and got provera. Just finished it on Tuesday and finally got my AF today after a 102 day cycle!

I feel like i have wasted 3 months waiting on AF to arrive but shes here now and my CB ovulation sticks have the dust blown off them ready to use!

Firsttimeandclueless · 12/03/2017 16:24

Hey Kitty

I'm using the ClearBlue ovulation sticks too!
Starting tomorrow, when do you start?

Could be Xmas babies this month :)

KittyKat73 · 12/03/2017 16:28

Hey Firsttime

I was going to start the day after my AF finishes. Looking back at my previous normal cycles I always got the day i thought i ovulated wrong so thought if i start from the beginning I hope i wont miss it.

Im hoping they are as easy as they look to use! :) xx

Firsttimeandclueless · 12/03/2017 16:54

Hey Kitty

I find them easy enough! Have a read of the instructions because I think you have to start on a certain CD depending on your average cycle, if possible. I have to start on day 6.

So good to have a CB buddy!! I am addicted to POAS so it helps curb the obsession.

Before we started TTC, I was convinced I would be uber relaxed towards the whole process but nope...I'm crazy Grin Grin

Mummymathsteacher · 12/03/2017 16:56

Joining the April bus. Technically no AF yet but expect that will be tomorrow.

Age: 28
TTC: #2
Cycle: 4

Had such a crap year so far so really hoping for some good news this month!

FlipKat · 12/03/2017 17:39

Hello! Please can I join the April bus too?

Age: 37 (38 next in a few days, eeeek)
TTC: #1
Cycle: 2
CD: 4

I only stopped Cerelle mini pill 30th Jan. Cycle 1 was long (37 days ish) and I'm not sure what cycle 2 is going to do. Planning to start with CB dual monitor on CD6 as I don't want to miss ovulation! Last cycle I started using ICs too in afternoon/evening once I got the flashing CB smiley with FMU, seemed to work well.

Re supplements: I'm taking folic acid 400mcg, omega-3 which contains vitamin D, and then (as a safeguard because I'm vegan) vitamin B12 once a month. Thought about taking a multivit but really don't think I need it as my diet is pretty good. Any other vegans on here??? Would be interested to know what you are taking!

MotherofUnicorns · 12/03/2017 17:55

Hi everyone! Another month another bus.....
CD7 ttc #3 age nearly 38 cycle 8ish

Not too worried about a Christmas baby anymore - seems no reason why this month will be more successful than any others but we'll see.
Feeling a little despondent -sorry!

Thingymaboob · 12/03/2017 20:02

Welcome everyone - I really hope you all get a wonderful Christmas present. I DTD today on CD 6. My husband was very excited: "hopefully I've gotten you pregnant". No, love, no. It's impossible. He really doesn't get it

Lime19 · 12/03/2017 21:30

I'm not at all bothered about a Xmas baby! I had read that maternity wards are not as well staffed at Xmas, obvious I guess but that is my only slight concern.

Right now I can't be picky, I'm starting to get impatient! A baby on any date please.

Af nearly finished! This is my favourite time of cycle. Full of hope.

Oysterbabe · 12/03/2017 21:38

My DD was born on NYE and it was amazing, I remember being in the delivery suite gazing at her when the fireworks started. I'm a Christmas baby too and I'd be delighted to have another. Hibernating with a lovely newborn when the weather is bad then ready for picnics in the summer when you start weaning, save my floor from the mess from time to time!
Although I have no chance of a Christmas baby because my bastard period still hasn't shown up.

KittyKat73 · 12/03/2017 22:16

Firsttime I know EXACTLY what you mean i thought i would be sooo relaxed about all this but a few months down the line im symptom spotting and have spent far too much on pregnany tests!

FlipKat im starting early with my CB test strips too as my cycles were irregular in length before my AF just disappeared all together. Hope i dont need to wait too long but i have a feeling i think im a late ovulator!

Emma2803 · 12/03/2017 23:18

Hi everyone, not really sure if I'm on the right bus but hey ho I'll join anyway!

Age: 32
TTC: #2
Cycle: 1?
Af due: 25/3
Just came off cerazette 4 weeks ago so no period yet although I have been doing opks and think I ovulated yesterday so af will be due 25/3.
We have decided to start trying in April so hopefully cycles are back to normal and will ovulate 8/4. Excited and nervous to be doing this all again!!!

Firsttimeandclueless · 13/03/2017 06:54

Oh Kitty the madness begins for another month.
Sometimes I try convince myself to "just relax"...Pffft :P

Hey Flip nice to see you're on the CB too! #CBbuddies

Hi Oyster good to see you on this thread. Hopefully this month is out month.

Oh thingy my DH is the EXACT same. 😂😂
Oh to be that hopeful and clueless 😂😂😂

We are currently trying a weird method this month
Going to try only DTD on both peak days and the day after. After explaining it to DH, he has declared this is what he thinks is the best way. If it doesn't work, we'll go back to DTD on every High & Peak day (can be so exhausting though 😂😂😂)

Hi to everyone else waves
Lots of baby dust to everyone!

Beardy1 · 13/03/2017 09:15

Hi everyone, can I join the April 17 bus too.

Age:32
Ttc:no1
Cycle: 1 after early misscarriage in February.
Af: started on 9/3, fw starts at the end of this week.
Supplements: a fertility supplement by viridian, vitamin d and omega 3.

Excited to get back on it after the MC. To the ladies who are having short/spotting period, have you thought about acupuncture. I had a similar situation and acupuncture has made me regular with a normal period. Took a month or so.

satsoooma · 13/03/2017 11:15

Hi everyone! I recognise a few names here from previous threads (Boatrace, Oyster).

Age: 31
TTC #1
TTC for 18 months
PCOS diagnosis: round 5 of 6 on clomid
CD: 12
AF: due 1 April

I have taken my clomid pills for the month (helps me to ovulate) and think I will start using OPKs from today. I am feeling pretty worried about this cycle, as I only have one more round of clomid prescribed after this. After that, I might have to get IVF. Am definitely ovulating though, so surely this has to work out soon.

KittyKat73 · 13/03/2017 11:30

Hey Satsoooma FX that this is the month for you! good news that you know your definately ovulating :)

Beardy So sorry to hear about your MC Flowers I have heard about acupuncture being really beneficial im keen to try it to see if it helps me become more regular. struggling to find someone local but willing to travel a bit as i think it will be worth it.

Firsttime Good luck with your new method! im really hoping my peak days are on a day off i work 12.5 hour shifts so i would be like noooooo! if i have to DTD right after one lol. Will all be worth it in the end

KittyKat73 · 13/03/2017 11:32

Emma FX your cycles and everything goes back to normal for you quickly! thats good you know when you have ovulated so you will be all prepared for april :)

Firsttimeandclueless · 13/03/2017 11:45

Oh no Kitty that would take some energy! CD 6 for me today and starting off on a nice low fertility.

If it falls on a work day or when DH is away for work, I think I'll do an angry dance and have a large glass of wine 😂😂

Beardy1 · 13/03/2017 12:18

Hey kitty thanks for that. Just another tricky aspect of this journey. I would massively recommend acupuncture. See if you can get a Chinese doctor who does acupuncture specialising in fertility. I moved recently and have seen such a difference in my hormones and periods since after MC. Amazing really.

I think it's harry who has the recent mc, sorry I was on read up catch up. I'm also sorry to hear about that and I hope you have had the chance to look after yourself and heal. I have waited till my first period after MC before ttc again. My hormones were a mess and I wasn't quite ready mentally. Feel back to me now.

ttcnovice · 13/03/2017 14:19

AF has left the building over here! Anyone else gearing up for their FW this week?

Firsttime I may steal your new method actually! We DTD every day (mostly twice!) from around CD8-18 last cycle and to say we were both exhausted is an understatement! I think DH must have forgotten already how tiring it was though as he was already asking when do we get started this morning - I'm still enjoying the rest Blush.
