I've had back pain for a few days. Few tummy cramps too :( think I'm gonna delete my fertility apps, stop trying and just let things happen naturally, I'm sick of the TTC obsession, it's going to make me ill if I carry on

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/02/2017 10:35

Oh crazy. It sucks.

I hid my ttc and pregnancy apps inside a folder on my phone so I didn't lose all my info and settings but didn't have to see them.

Take all the pain meds you need and try and rest when you can. Sleep is the best when you're feeling sore and miserable.

Waterfeature · 28/02/2017 10:45

Much sympathy crazy.

Congrats to glass, fab news!

Buddah101 · 28/02/2017 11:31

otherendofthesock I hope you're feeling a bit better after a good cry, nothing better to let it all out and fingers crossed your gp has some info regarding the pre conception clinic.

crazy fingers crossed for you.

MulderitsmeX · 28/02/2017 11:49

Oh amanda that's shit so sorry for you xxx

Ps update - I mentioned on this thread last week that I was having weird stingy pains, I think this was caused by accupuncture! I had some more accu on Sat and the weird pains came again so am stopping accu. I know it works for some people but would just like to put it out there in case anyone else is having the same. I think my body is just not ready for it atm.

Beardy1 · 28/02/2017 12:05

Mulder that's interesting what you say about acupuncture. I've been having mine and had no bleeding at all. I'm still waiting for my first af to turn up. Did you find any positive effects from it?

Beardy1 · 28/02/2017 12:09

Also told to go into epu for a blood test today as I'm over 2 weeks since early Mc and still positive. Got there and they told me to wait another 4 days to do a blood test and decided to not do one. its crasy to still be having positive pregnancy tests after this long. Why won't they test me. Grrrrrrr!!

AmandaP86x · 28/02/2017 12:28

Ano it's brutal. I was considering acupuncture too???

I feel like I have kinda cramp today but AF another 2 weeks away.

Just feel so confused on these ovualtion kits

Crazyvaperlady · 28/02/2017 12:44

Anne it does but I guess there's nothing I can do about it. If it's going to happen it will, and I'm really not helping myself with the constant "am I, aren't I" inner monologue and stressing. Hoping everyone else is well!

MulderitsmeX · 28/02/2017 12:45

beardy and amanda I was also late for AF and do kind of feel accupuncture may have had something to do with it. I have had 3 sessions every other week but really have felt no benefit. I've seen research that it can help with IVF but not so much actual evidence on fertility. I did feel super relaxed after the first one.

My friend had IVF and accupuncture helped loads with it, I've also had it for a sports injury which worked really well so I think it must just be the area/timing/body/practitioner.

You can but try but I think I would recommend waiting until 2 months after MC so your body isn't being overloaded with all the interference. If you're on London I can recommend thr place my friend went? DM me Smile

What I have found helped was raspberry leaf tea (making Dh drink too) and one oil of evening primrose tablet every day. Have stopped with vitamin d and folic acid to rest my poor body!! Also if your period doesn't come properly on time I had a nurse do a swab (for something else) and that actually started it. Obvs the blood was there already but think my body needed a little kick start.

There's also fertility yoga on youtube that you can try.

Beardy1 · 28/02/2017 12:58

Thanks for all the tips. I'll definetly try the raspberry tea.
There doesn't seem to be much clinical evidence for acupuncture as you said but I see a specialised Chinese doctor and she's the first person to actually ask some proper questions and learn about my journey. I'm gonna stay with it a bit longer as it helped regulate my periods quickly after all the strsss last year. Is everyone on here ttc straight away or waiting till after af? I've been told different things from after 1 month to 3 months although I can't find any research about it.

Peony24 · 28/02/2017 13:14

I've heard reflexology can be good for fertility. There are a few places that do reflexology for fertility and pregnancy so worth a try? I had it the month I got pregnant so don't know if it was coincident or not?!?

MulderitsmeX · 28/02/2017 13:18

Ah peony I heard that too. If you're in London please do let me know where you went.

Re raspberry tea do research when to drink/how it works etc as you can't drink it after ovulation.

I'm gonna try after first AF, IMO my body needed to grow and shed a lining before putting an egg into there. Next week is my first lot of trying so hopefully the stories about being most fertile after MC are true.

I might go back to accu hopefully will be preggers soon though so won't need it!!!

fluffiny31 · 28/02/2017 13:31

Beardy i got told to wait for af just for dating purposes of your next pregnancy.

user1480930113 · 28/02/2017 13:52

I'm jumping straight back on the band wagon so to speak although I think I ovulated last week. I only thought you had to wait for dating purposes I didn't think of the lining etc x

Beardy1 · 28/02/2017 16:08

I think that's my major worry about jumping right in. My previous period before pregnancy was really light and long so I'm a tad worried I might need to get my cycle a bit better and have been lining to help implantation. Waiting game is rubbish though.

MulderitsmeX · 28/02/2017 16:30

Also it's actually quite nice to feel my body getting back to normal so has been weirdly reassuring to have a period, just to see my body remembers how to do it! Loads of people jump straight in tho and am sure it's fine.

noroomonbroom · 28/02/2017 17:23

Arghh so not sure if I'm up for this ttc game anymore and it's only the first month.
Never actually tried before it's always just happened.
Defiantly have a new found respect for the women who have been trying for a while.
Have just spent 15 mins with my app trying to work out when to dtd over the fw.So romantic.
Have promised myself that I am not going anywhere near a poas til the end of March by which point I will either have af or be a whole week late.
And then if it is positive there should be a good dark line.
And not even think about requesting a booking app til 10 weeks, having to cancel the last one was horrible.
Have gone and got myself some magnesium bath stuff though.

Peony24 · 28/02/2017 18:15

mulder I'm down in Cornwall I'm afraid. But just went to a spa for a trial session which was 30 mins. It was so relaxing though!

Beardy1 · 28/02/2017 18:42

Mulder I agree. I can't wait for my period to come now. Although I'm not sure it's going to cone whilst I'm still having positive pregnancy tests.

harrietm87 · 28/02/2017 18:52

I'm trying to go straight in. Was all excited a couple of days ago when got a flashing smiley on clearblue. I should be in FW now but day 3 of flashing smiley (normally just have 2 days) and no EWCM to speak of (usually have lots) suggests I'm maybe not back to normal. Still going to have lots of sex though!

Gracie17 · 28/02/2017 18:57

Hi
Can I join? I feel like I need somewhere to maybe talk. I had a natural miscarriage last week (7 weeks) and will be TTC as soon as possible because it took us 8 months (4 months of really properly trying) to get pregnant the first time and I am 36.

What do people think about waiting for a period?

I am very lucky that I do have a daughter age nearly 3. I had a natural miscarriage at 9 weeks ( much more physically traumatic ) before she was born as well so this was my second miscarriage.

Thank you for reading my post x.

Gracie17 · 28/02/2017 19:06

Just seen there is lots of discussion below about whether to wait for af, sorry

Peony24 · 28/02/2017 19:27

Hi Gracie Flowers
I got my first negative HPT at the weekend after miscarriage 2 and a half weeks ago... and we jumping straight back in, not bothering to wait for af.
Luckily I felt very well physically quite quickly afterward, and OH and I both feel ready to TTC again straight away - like it would help

user1480930113 · 28/02/2017 19:36

Hey gracie I agree with peony I had a erpc at 12 weeks and waited 3 weeks until I had a negative test. Once the bleeding stopped and I had my negative we got straight back to it. I feel emotionally ready. I have a 4 year old already and desperate to conceive...been trying for 2 years before the MMC so was a real kick in the teeth. The first month trying with ov sticks and we caught sadly when I went for my 12 week scan there was no heartbeat but hoping the myth you are more fertile after a mc is true! Not sure when I'll get AF if it's a month from erpc then it will be next week but we shall see Flowers
