Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats

Bold letters is putting a star asterisk either side. Not sure in the lines.

I'm feeling better this cycle already as have given my temping a break an might nit even do OPKs. I feel free!! Lol xx

Good idea on the 'winging it' cycle - temping and OPKs can sometimes bring more stress than anything which is defo not what we want! I only started OPKs last month and I've convinced myself I didn't get a positive. If I get a positive this month and my BFP is being shy, I think I'll wing it next cycle too!

Dolly if your a dumbass so am I ... I wondered the same ... Salem uses the strike through so she will know that one :)))

Good luck with your casual cycles ladies ... as dp doesn't know I'm trying so hard tTC - thus we only dtd once in fw ... I need opks as timing is of essence but if we were shag happy tTC - dtd every day or every other during fw ... I would bin them off too xxx

Dolly strike is a dash - like so then closed with the same dash (it's like a dash sandwich!)

I am going to start with the OPKs tonight. Not expecting a positive at all but I am, sadly, addicted to OPKs and POAS. ...

What cycle day are you again?

I usually start OPKs around CD11 but in the 3 months I've been using them I've had positives on CD15, CD14 & CD14. I have started to think that maybe i should test from CD12 or 13 in a bid to save money (the CB digitals are sooooo expensive, but i like them because they're definite).... but then i don't want to miss the surge and its so exciting to finally be in FW after the grueling 2WW, AF and 1WFW (1 Week Fertile Wait) :)

You are welcome Hippy! I had my "peak" smiley on the digital OPK on CD17 but lines began to appear on CD15&16. I am on CD8 (!!!) but I don't want to miss anything? I have a feeling FW is going to coincide with half term !
I agree the digital ones are sooooo expensive but soooooo worth that smiley face!!! It was one of the best feelings when I saw it for the first time sad.

Salem - so how long are your cycles? Sorry I've got a memory like a sieve :)

And if you're sad I'm sad ... I felt the same when I first saw that smiley -and when I keep seeing it each month- it reassures me I'm ovulating which I don't think I was for the first few cycles xxx

My cycles have been 25/28/29/27 so around the 27 day as an average I think, which is pretty normal?

Wow. Ive just got a line on my OPK . It's not dark at all so definitely a negative but I didn't get a readable one until CD16 last month!!!!

Yeah your cycle length seems normal however like mine is seems to fluctuate a bit ... I wonder why this is!
Good job your opk'ing early if your starting to get a line already ... I find it interesting to watch the lines getting darker what a saddo I am 😂

mega busy project in work almost sorted. friend baby discharged from hospital with everything ok. family funeral on friday BUT it's a celebration of a wonderful life!

anyway, wee question, any1 hold a crazy record for POAS 4/5dpo? hands up! why why why - i think i'm pregnant with kittens hahaha

Sorry to hear about the funeral Bella but you are right, a celebration of life . 4DPO isn't that bad! Maybe hold off until a bit later next time so your BFP is stronger .

Hippy there is nothing except that first crisp glass of bubbly that gives me more joy than watching a line on a cheapie OPK. I can't even fathom what I think when I actually get a BFP! OPK Saddos 4ever .

Ha ladies. I'll join you there in that there is some enjoyment in seeing your OPK line appearing knowing that you actually work and function. It's an accomplishment!

Can't decide on whether to do OPKs this cycle or not. I've given up temping for a break but dunno if cold turkey on it all is too much lol. I won't be due to do them until after my trip away so have a week to decide xx

So my busy days done and I'm now in a burning joy bath watching my soaps

6dpo here. Dtd the last two nights for fun! Was lovely to not feel like it HAD to be done! Going to try the SMTE so starting on Thursday at 8DPO and think I'll get my positive OPK roughly a week today. Probably start them around next Monday.

Bella - your sense of humour is well intact and under such difficult circumstances- I think you've got more PMA than you think. Glad work is on the up, friends baby doing well and for the funeral ... celebrate their wonderful life xxx

Salem - hopefully not opk saddo's forever ... I think with all this positive opk practice we deserve to graduate to pg bfp ... do you hear me universe... bfp's for this thread please asap xxx

Anna loving the sound of your relaxed cycle. I've never had the motivation to temp. I have enough problems just remembering to take a tablet each morning. I hope you have a lovely chilled month.

Dolly fx the OPKs work for you this month! They can go from negative to positive so quickly it's so easy to miss.

Bella glad works calming down and so happy friends baby is doing better. Sorry to hear about the funeral, but a lovely way to look at it all

Anna - you're right about the accomplishment feeling knowing that at least the egg(s) are commencing their journey. I think I've mentioned this before so apologies for repetition... but I can't temp even though I did buy a thermometer cuz dp would soon twig what I'm doing and would realise how much I'm tTC ... he doesn't want to start trying properly yet the asshole so I just use opks and poas in private ... I feed him vitamins including zinc to help his swimmers (he doesn't even know why other than overall health) and I put my vitamins in a different carton so he doesn't see they're a multi pregnancy vitamin :)). It's hard being so secretive and so I dropped the opks for a couple of months in an attempt to adopt a more casual approach but in truth it stressed me out as I like to be in control as much as possible ... so what I'm trying to say is ... I would drop the temping as I guess that's a bit relentless but poas for opk with fmu isn't too much hassle for a few days and waiting 4 wks to get to fw ... I personally wouldn't run the risk of missing ovulation ... that said if you ovulate around the same time and your dtd every other day (sadly a privilege I don't have) then maybe a more relax style would work better for you. Glad your enjoying dtd for fun - it's easy to think fuck it it's not fw and I'm knackered :)) I think it's called the smep - sperm meets the egg plan .
I'm hoping to get some just for fun action tonight but af is still lingering and dp isn't keen on making love when she's in town... he says he doesn't like blood ... so he's gonna be useful when I go into labour not sorry couldn't resist that one 😂 Xxx

Yes definitely agree Hippy. I think not temping is enough relaxed approach for me now. An I would like to still know when I ovulate to not miss it. I might be relaxed though an not mention it to hubby so he doesn't think too much about it. But at least I will know 😊

Charley DTD just for fun sounds good! Sometimes you forget all about that when your TTC. But I'm sure the relaxed just having fun approach is what's it's all about. I'm positive that's why I somehow fell first cycle cos I wasn't particularly thinking too in depth about anything at all!
