Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Good morning lovely ladies! Happy Saturday Smile

Rose good luck with holding off your poas. I second hippy in that valentines would be lovely for you ❤️ also gave me a good laugh at DHs doctor skills!

Bella your DH sounds amazing! That's so lovely of him to think about stuff like that! I'm actually not keen on most of the non pregnancy stuff other than the wine and gin haha!

Baking that's so sweet that a day out and you missed DS. Must be so strange to have a day apart when you're used to having him with you all the time!

Moo yes to missing skinny jeans! We might all have to teach our other halves to paint our nails and shave our legs haha!

Hippy I hope AF doesn't appear for you, but if she does at least you've done amazing with the PMA and already have your head in the next cycle. Your a total inspiration x

Salem I hope you're getting some relaxing in after your busy week! I manage 5 childcare settings just now for the local council and have done for 3 years but I feel like I'm ready for a change after my (eventual) maternity leave. I'd love to do child psychology but after 7 years studying it's maybe a bit too much haha! Thanks for offering to do a list! My stats are:

@hippy i totally understand your thoughts on adding pressure for your OH to perform! my DH is fully on board with TTC and doesn't usually feel any pressure however as it's FW, we're DTD crazy and he's struggling. had a bit of a melt down last night (post sushi and champs) as to his own expectations - i had no idea he felt so pressured. he had turned DTD into a challenge/necessity in his head and there i was just enjoying myself! felt for the big sod, so guess i'll do my best to make it a little more fun today/tomorrow then give him a fortnight "off" lol xx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 11/02/2017 11:12

Bella my DH is the same! But when it's FW we cannot afford to miss DTD, especially near ovulation!

BellaMoon · 11/02/2017 11:23

@salem i was blissfully unaware of his feelings this week. we've gone full steam ahead during FW with peak fertility yday/today/tomorrow so he's not off the hook yet. he did say that i hadn't added the pressure, he'd done that himself, in a test of his manliness or some crap like that. think he's is now looking forward to the 2WW where he can "relax". any1 else get a little more horny aroused the more DTD that goes on? Blush sorry if TMI

Charley2016 · 11/02/2017 11:31

Aw bless your DH Bella! It's good that he felt comfortable talking to you about it though! It's always the woman that get thought about with us doing all the planning and peeing but I think it must be hard for them knowing they have to perform for the specific need of getting pregnant. I also feel for them when they have to deal with AF melt downs! I'm pretty much up for it whenever haha! Although I do get extra super excited when I'm on my AF which is obviously just a bloody waste haha! I end up like a grumpy frustrated maniac by the end of it.

Charley - thank you for saying I'm an inspiration... I don't feel very inspirational right now ... but I only had a little cry yesterday and it was more like a whimper .... cuz do you know what universe... me and mumsnet friends are going to get upduffed so you might as well accept that and work with us ... just saying! :)))
Reference dtd - I often read that it's recommended to do it every other day when tTC and to keep dtd regularly in between ... clearly not a much .... but men do need to keep the supply fresh so if you can't dtd throughout the cycle you may want to get your dh's relieving themselves 2-3 times a week .... not sure how true this is but I've definitely read it and I've read a lot xxx

Bella- I used to feel a little more horny around ovulation time, but as the cycles come and go, that's ebbed away a bit. For my husband too. He told me this morning he 'misses the chase' GrinGrinso the thrill of having me throw myself at him has now worn off and it really does feel like we're doing it for just one reason at the moment. We're both knackered!

BellaMoon · 11/02/2017 12:45

@2ducks

ill bear that in mind, thanks for sharing. i did suggest last night due to his "sense of duty" disclosure that he relax today/tomorrow,

BellaMoon · 11/02/2017 12:49

sorry @2ducks that posted early

i was him to relax today/tomorrow. we're on cycle 1 of TTC, this could be a long road and if he's feeling this already, then we've started off on the wrong track.

i'll do my best to "spoil" him this evening so that it's not doing the duty, rather than dirty!

i use my mobile to post here ladies so i don't always pick up on all posts or comments but i do read them all - great info/experience sharing and of course, PMA - thanks so much for the honesty xxx

Dollydaydream2829 · 11/02/2017 13:29

I feel super horney around ovulation and af .... unfortunately oh will not entertain dtd during af so annoyingly it looks like i won't be getting shag happy again until post Valentine's Day ... oh is working Wednesday so I'm gonna have to wait till Thursday... think some diy may be in order - sorry ladies tmi again Wink
Bella - hopefully your road won't be too long xxx

Moo31 · 11/02/2017 14:11

Hippy - at least you can laugh about it! He sounds like the kind of person that needs a seed planted and then give it some time to grow and then he will be round to the idea and it will be like it was his idea - in my experience anyway! ;)

Rose - made me laugh out loud! Sounds +ve :) and I will find out about the wine for you.

Charley - that would be hilarious them shaving our legs and painting our nails but we probably wouldn't be able to see them anyway so it won't matter when they make a mess of them!! Haha!

Re dtd - oh is happier about it than me. We've never done it as much as we have the past 6 months! Neither have v high sex drives but I'm finding it such a chore! Def want it more when I'm on af same as you charley but isn't it typical that our bodies would do that to us!!

Thanks Salem my stats are:

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 11/02/2017 15:21

Thanks everyone for stats, I'll compile a list later on and give people some more time if needs be.

I'm always in the mood to DTD Blush. DH is the opposite! It does get a bit like a chore when you are TTC though, no matter what anyone says.

I love those pics Hippy & Bella!!!

I hope everyone is having a good day xxx

Hippychic79 · 11/02/2017 16:33

You're absolutely spot on Moo - oh definitely needs time to think things through... I just wish he would realise how long it can take ... his own sister took 18 months tTC ds1 (she now has x2 ds's)... I've mentioned this to him when casually bringing up the tTC conversation and he just doesn't say anything ... I'm wondering if it's even registering... but then he's so observant about everything (and I mean everything), he's definitely heard me! He even notices when I'm tapping away on mn and the other day accusingly asked who I was texting ... obviously he doesn't know I'm on here.

You have to laugh about it ... there's no point in getting upset - i tried that back in December and it made me feel terrible and really doesnt help. It does take 6 months on average to conceive, and I personally think it takes 3 months in addition to that to prep your body- supplements don't work instantly (my naturopath told me they take a good few months taking them every day to work through your system), coupled with the fact that I only really dtd once in fw kinda puts it in perspective for me a little ... doesn't really make those bfns or af visits any easier but hey ho :))) xxx
