Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats

I'm taking vit d Rose, it's in with my folic acid tablets, my doctor said it was important too but I can't remember why!! Xx

Loving your twisted logic Rose ... I've got some frer's but I didn't waste them.... i used a clear blue ... I think they were expensive too but I've had them a while so hey ho ... only used one ... I'll hold out now ... sure I'm out though ...

I read today in that book I posted that vitamin d is good for tTC xxx

I've had a little cry ... annoyingly oh doesn't understand why ... we've only been together a year and he understandably wants to take things slow and do things in the right order ... he bought my engagement ring last month but hasn't officially popped the question yet.... I hate tTC behind his back but I'm 38 and he's gonna be 42 in a few months so I want to crack on ... I know he'll be pleased when I'm upduffed (after initial shock of course) ... pic of ring attached xxx

i have been pleasantly surprised by DH this evening, he's actually connected the dots
now that we are TTC and worked out that if we conceive (fw right now) then i won't be able to have some of my fave things for a good wee while, therefore, i came home from work to this... champs and sushi

made me wonder, if lucky enough to conceive, what else will i miss? what about you ladies? x

Bella I'm gonna miss exercise and mostly riding my horse, not sure how I'll get through without my horsey time!! Xx

That's gorgeous hippy - congratulations! Maybe he'll pop the question on V-day (he seems the romantic sort like that!) How exciting! Does he want to get married before ttc?
We had agreed in 2015 to start ttc last May and then out of the blue oh popped the question in March - I couldn't get my head round it at first as I didn't want to get married and that wasn't the order I wanted to do things in - I just wanted to get pg lol took me 6 months to get used to the idea (and we started to ttc in Sept).
That's a gorgeous ring! I'm sure you can't wait to get it on your finger!!

Bella - that's a lot of sushi. Sushi makes me think of that scene in satc movie where Samantha makes it! Haha!

I will miss wine and Jacuzzis / hot tubs - not that I use them very often but it's that old adage when you can't have something it makes you want it even more!!

Aww congrats on you imminent engagement hippy! What a beautiful ring. I wear 3 rings on my wedding finger two are engagement and wedding but the third is just for fun as I like the stacked effect like your ring. Isn't there something about getting a eternity ring when you have a baby or is that just an American thing? imagine having your baby as part of the wedding! That would be so sweet

Bella Im very impressed with your DH! I like sushi too, I'm not even sure what I can't eat yet:-/ I will miss wine lots, I'm praying I go off it as one of my symptoms. I'm considering trying non alcoholic wine but have a suspicion it might be horrible.

Can't remember who asked, but I'm taking vitamin D supplements. Not related to low levels/for conception, but because I'm still breastfeeding, when you have increased requirements, just like in pregnancy. I wouldn't be surprised if the vitamin does aid conception though, as growing evidence of the many roles it plays within the body.

Yummy looking tea Bella! Last time round I missed chocolate mousse, as made with uncooked eggs, though now the advice is that as long as eggs have the lion mark on they're fine to eat raw. Not sure there's anything else you aren't meant to have when pregnant that I'd miss, as can take or leave alcohol. Think for me it's probably going to be able to have dairy again once I stop breastfeeding with DS's allergy. I don't miss milk, as found I like almond and oat milk, which I use to make custard that I use a substitute for yoghurt, but it will be nice to have cheese again :)

Hope you all have a nice weekend! No plans here, but had a treat today of DH looking after DS for the day so I could meet up with an old friend. First time in 2 years I've had more than a couple of hours to myself, so although I missed DS, it was very much appreciated :)

DH didn't get me an eternity ring after DS was born, though we've talked about getting one, perhaps after #2 :)

have managed 18pcs of sushi, DH has scoffed a lot a little more so rest will be saved for tomorrow's lunch. i love sushi!

i haven't been looking into what i can/do and can't/won't have if upduffed so i'm surprised he has!

totally get the "can't have, therefore want" adage, since posting my question i read about hot baths.... i live for my hot baths! aw well, i'll enjoy missing them, (not if, when- keeping the PMA) xx

Bella isn't the bath thing only if they are super hot? :-/ I need my baths Although when baby arrives I doubt there will be much time for one, it'll probably be like a birthday treat

@roseandbee i just scanned a generic
google search and "hot bath" appeared on a few lists. i tend to take hot baths a couple of times a week, even my showers are volcanic according to DH oh well, ill look further into it if when updruffed, and will enjoy my guilty pleasures until then!

Rose - you can dip your toe! Actually you could probably sit on the side with your legs in sipping your non alcoholic wine :) hehe! (my mum drinks a nice non alco wine from sainsbury when she is the designated driver which is quite often in our family!)

I'll also miss my skinny jeans! And painting my toe nails haha!

Baking - start dropping hints now for the ring! Can I get an eternity ring if I haven't got a wedding ring? Dammit I'll make sure he gets me one!!

Thank you for the lovely comments about my ring ladies ... I think he'll propose on holiday which isn't booked but we're thinking June - my folks have got a place in Cyprus so we're gonna go there but when I asked him last night he said it might be before .... it won't be v day though ... think that's why I got my roses early .... :)))

Bella - what a very thoughtful dh you have ... he gets top marks from me ... sushi is definitely on the no go list ... it's in the book I posted yesterday:))

Sarah - I hope you get a ring after giving birth... my oh is still recovering from the price of the engagement ring (even though it was half price in Jan sales) so I'm doubtful I'll get another :)))

Moo - are you married now? Sorry I've got a bad memory. I don't think oh would mind if I got upduffed before being married ... his main concern is getting a few more holidays in before the baby and doesn't seem to have any concerns about age and time ref tTC ... which is why I'm cracking on... Its starting to annoy me a bit though because oh doesn't know about tTC, isn't 100% on board, he works a lot and his sex drive is variable ... we only get to dtd 1-2 a week ... he usually decides when it will happen and this doesn't always fall at the right time ... this cycle we only dtd on cd15 after getting firm smiley opk on cd14 ... and we only did it once .... I think it should have been cd14 cuz that's when I had watery cm .... but I can't tell him why we need to do it a certain day thus why it's taking so bloody long!

Rose - you're a lucky lady to have two engagement rings :)))

Baking - lovely to meet up with an old friend after so long, but equally so lovely that you missed your ds :))

I'm not sure what I'll miss when I'm upduffed ... i definitely won't miss reading about how to get upduffed and all the crazy things we do tTC ... i won't miss tampax, poas and tracking my bleeding cycle (pun intended).

Still no af here and I've just wasted my first fmu .... I was tempted to test again but I've cried it out now and am mentally prepared for the next cycle ... so come on af ... hurry up get here, stay and fack off again... go and stay with all the ladies who don't want to be upduffed .... stay away from my mn friends please xxx

No we're not married and not planning to. I'm not bothered about dc not having the same surname as me (which I know people will say when we get upduffed) as even when we do get married I'll likely keep my own name anyway (easier for work).

I went to bed at 10pm - I get lots of sleep and i find I'm quite restless when I'm due and since I've quit smoking ... im even worse in the summer ... need even less sleep!
Thanks for your PMA - a teeny tiny part of me thinks maybe I'll be one of those who got bfn for weeks on pg tests before knowing .... but despite my positivity I am a realist and so I know it's best to accept being out earlier rather than later ... it was such a strong negative it's still there on the test this morning ... it has even had the decency to clear off :))) lol
Awwww mate - god knows when he wants to tTC ... he's still smoking and he's one of those who'll give up when the baby comes ... but he's cut down the 3 -5 a day and vape since I switched to vaping so that's good .... I did try and broach the subject of him stopping for the sake of his sperm and our baby and I'm sure he'll think about it and come round slowly ... but his immediate response was don't turn into a goodie goodie ex smoker .... it was kind of me bringing up the subject of when he wants tTC but he's non commital and just says all in good time ... he did want to go Caribbean in may and then try but I put him off cuz I hoped I'd be upduffed by then ... convinced him to go Cyprus twice instead as it's same price (just flights) and maybe do Caribbean next Xmas ... so I think he thinks we'll do 3 holidays and then start tTC .... he's peter freaking Pan mate or so he freaking thinks!!! I don't want to push it cuz then he could block me altogether- at least at the moment we're having unprotected sex and he has no idea what cycle day I am ... he doesn't keep track :). The other point of not telling him is that I think the pressure of tTC would be too much for him ... he can't always finish dtd if he's stressed and or tired and tTC would stress him ... it's bad enough it stresses me :)))
So we've got snow here - snowy white as my fucking pg test 😂

Moo - don't think there's any rules about when you get an eternity ring, so if it's going to be a while before you get married, maybe you could get one beforehand :)

Hippychic - hopefully you find out either way very soon, it's the not knowing that's frustrating. Hoping my next cycle will be shorter for that reason. Sorry you DP isn't fully on board at the mo, but I guess he must be partly on board if you aren't using contraception and I'm sure once you get your bfp he'll address his habits and be less bothered about a hol!

Thanks for the quotes hippy! What day were you expecting AF? I was actually up at 6 this morning too but I managed to nod off again eventually though I was up for ages deciding wether to a POAS this morning, i think I might just try and wait till valentines.
My boobs have gone huge (ok not huge) but I call my boobs my little triangle boobs and now they are more like proper boobs so Ive convinced myself I'm pregnant as I've never had boob symptoms before.
I even got my DH to check for me, I must say he'd make a terrible doctor, most unprofessional!
Moo I think I'll have to give the Sainsbury's wine a go do you know what it's called?

Thanks Baking - I think the fact that he's 41, and never been married doesn't help - he's very stubborn and set in his ways ... he will listen and take stuff on board but it takes him a while actually put things into action and that's only when he realises I'm right! I think after 25 years of smoking I need to give my body a bit more time that 3 weeks to clear the shit I inflicted on myself ... clearly it was way too much to expect that I'd quit and conceive instantly ... ! I'm praying for a shorter cycle for you next month too Hun xxx
