Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

I'm the little devil on your shoulder saying "do it! do it!" Grin I have everything crossed for you hippy!! You are the leader of the pma here and have helped all of us so I really REALLY hope you are rewarded for that! Look forward to hearing about your bfp!!
Ps looking forward to some tips from that book!

ArchiesMamaBird · 10/02/2017 11:33

I'm 25 (turning 26 next month) so think I might be the baby of the group? But it makes it even more frustrating that we're on month 9 of ttc, when everyone keeps saying that this is the perfect age to get pregnant because of supply of eggs etc. Hmm

Charley I think my bfp will be due around 11th March (which is my birthday Grin) but not 100% because my cycles vary between 29 days and 35 days. So I think FW will be around 22nd-27th Feb

Hippychic79 · 10/02/2017 11:48

Thanks Moo... I think I will test tomorrow and put myself out this misery of waiting any longer ... I really wanted to test when I'm officially 'late' as I would have felt more confident ... but I guess the bottom line is ... you either you are or you aren't .... waiting another day isn't going to give you a bfp just cuz you waited :)))
Thank you for your kind sentiments - talking to you lovely ladies is reward in itself tho xxx

Hey Archie's - don't worry about age / time / egg supply etc .... I've been reading this book and it says even if you get the timing right you still only have a 20-40% chance of conceiving each month. I'm 38 and in the back of my mind I worry about the same issues (I think we all do no matter how old we are) .... but when it crops up as a fear thought, I thank it for reminding me and then tell it to go away :)))

Archie I just turned 25 last month so we're both babies. Dh is 35 though. I've been broody forever but said I wanted to be married first and it took him 7yrs to propose BlushI got my wish of the quick wedding at least. All my family have had babies super early and most were accidents or first time so that's more why I worry.

Hippy I'm so excited for you tomorrow! So proud you managed to hold off for so long! Looking forward to book tips too!

I have a migraine today and it's making me feel like I'm constantly about too be sick. Going to finish work early and go home for a nap I think.

Good luck hippy. You have done very well waiting. I really hope you get your reward.

I think I am in the 2ww now. Especially as we managed to dtd last night but DH said he needed a rest today. He isn't as young as he used to be! (34, not 18!).

I am sure I will shortly be joining the symptom spotting tour!!

Hippychic79 · 10/02/2017 16:10

Thanks Magpie xxx

Your dh has done very well, bless him :)). Yes welcome again to the crazy world of mad symptom spotting ... dare to post your craziest symptom and or google search Winkxxx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 10/02/2017 17:53

Sorry to here that Hippy. You never know, keep positive it might be a BFP in a few days? Sorry if I have misread anything as you can guess Ive been stupidly busy xxx

Sorry to hear about your headache Charley

Sooo it's THE WEEKEND wooohooooo!!!! AF needs to do one now, fed up of it and just want to get on with my FW. Have just bought some IC OPKs which made me pathetically excited!

A 12 week old baby came to work today and I couldn't handle it, I metaphorically melted inside!

Good luck Magpie FX for you.

Hippychic79 · 10/02/2017 18:01

Thanks Bella and Salem - xxx
I'm fairly confident I'm out this month, the tests are pretty good at confirming bad news in my humble experience...
not going to lie, I am gutted but in the vain of this thread and practicing what I preach ...
I am grateful for ...
My oh, family and friends (including you guys) , the fact we're all healthy,
The chance to get to know you guys even better & graduate with you all
My life - my home, my job and the fact I can afford to eat healthy, go to the gym and afford a few more packs of opks and pg tests ... oh and fucking tampax 😂😂😂

Aw hippy! I was really hoping for your BFP! But I don't think you're out yet! Still few days possibly before AF would come and not fmu! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed!

My migraine has shifted and my uni results come through all passed! So I've made a nice dinner, lit a load of candles and am going to be nice to dh when he comes in to apologise for yesterday's melt down!

Back in to the positivity and being happy that we all get another month of trying together! Here's to fw and lots of practicing!

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 10/02/2017 18:18

Wooohooo well done Charley. What did/do you study at uni?
Love the positivity Hippy. As for going to the gym HOW on earth do you manage it haha!! I say as I'm off to order a cheeky takeaway!

BFPs for March, here we come!!!

Dollydaydream2829 · 10/02/2017 18:20

Aw hippy! I'm sorry. But as has been said plenty times before, it's not truly over until the horrible witch rears her head!!
But excellent PMA - we're all going to be in the same very fertile boat for March and considering Feb has been a bit of a dud, we're due more than our fair share of BFPs next month!
Congrats on your results charley!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend! I'm working nightshift this weekend, so you'll all have to have a drink for me!

Charley2016 · 10/02/2017 18:25

Ugh sorry about work dolly! Hope it passes quickly for you! I'm trying not to drink so I'm currently having a becks blue. However with all the valentines meal deals and champagne around I'm not sure it will last haha!

Salem I was totally debating a takeaway too Blush I'm doing a BA degree in childhood practices. I always say I hate studying but as soon as I'm done something I end up doing something else haha! Should graduate in June so debating a masters or the years post grad for teaching or something. Not really sure where I want to go to be honest!

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 10/02/2017 18:44

Charley if you need any advice about teaching let me know. I did a PGCE so I can help you there if you need it. DH has gone to pick takeaway. My diet is awful at the moment, Ive had a pot of pineapple today and a cup tea. It needs to change!

I hope your night shift goes quickly for you Dolly!

Hippychic79 · 10/02/2017 19:08

Thanks again for your kind sentiments ladies and your very PMA that I'm not out till af arrives ... but believe me I'm out ... it was a very definite bfn ... not even a squinter ... although it clearly wasn't fmu ... but still I won't be wasting anymore tests and just want the witch to leave my friends on here - get to me and then do one for the next 9 months !!!

Congrats on your uni result Charlie xxx

Enjoy your takeaway Salem xxx

Hope your night shifts fly by Dolly xxx

Love you ladies xxx

Awww sorry Hippy. At least you don't have thrush for valentines day Sad I guess.

sarahboro1 · 10/02/2017 19:40

Hippy pma!! She's not here so you're not out!! Believe!! My fingers are still crossed for you to be our first bfp.

Happy Friday everyone!! I'm so tired I'm off for a nanna nap in front of the fire, oh when did life get so exciting?! On these dark snowy nights let's all dream about the summer, light nights, bfp's and graduating together this year. I don't know about you ladies but I can't get enough of dtd when the weather is hot!!! Is this a phenomenon or am I just weird??!! 😳 Xx

Hippychic79 · 10/02/2017 19:46

Flowers Phase xxx

Thanks Sarah .... I'm watching Corrie and then bed so equally rock n roll :))). I know what you mean about daydreaming about summer ... and bfp's ... bring it on xxx

OP posts:
Roseandbee · 10/02/2017 20:26

Sorry you got a bfn hippy:-/ I'm the type that doesn't accept a bfn till my AF comes which is why I don't mind testing early, it does get more disheartening the closer you get to AF but some don't get a bfp for ages, so you never know. If Af does come then March is going to be an exciting month!
Talking of testing early I'm tempted to use one of my FRERs tomorrow but it may still be too early, Ovia says to test on the 14th but I think my full af is due the 15th or 16th although I do get spotting before hand so it's always confusing trying to pinpoint my first day. Will do an IC but these FRER things aren't cheap, never actually used one before but must have gone through at least 50 IC Blush I guess itd be more disheartening with a FRER negative the IC negatives don't phase me as I'm more confident they'll give me a false negative (there's some twisted logic for you)

Roseandbee · 10/02/2017 20:33

Forgot to say I'm 33 so about middilish I guess.

sarah I love nanny naps infront of the fire. I reckon the summer thing might be down to just being in an all round better mood.
Is anyone taking vitamin D supplements btw? I got low vit D come up in my bloods a few months back and I've read it can be a factor in infertility so taking a supplement can help you get pregnant. A lot of people who live in the UK end up deficient as we mostly get it from the sunEnvy

Moo31 · 10/02/2017 20:39

Ah no hippy :( no no no! Excellent pma though. I'm so so sorry! I hate hearing bfn's but this one really hurts! I hope you have nice plans for the weekend to keep your mind occupied - be kind to yourself xo

March is gonna be a big bfp month ladies - come on we got this!!

Charley well done on your results - let yourself have a wee glass of wine to celebrate. Soon you won't be able to drink for 9+ months!

Sarah - definitely much more enjoyable when it's hot!!

Itsjustaphase - not nice for you - I hope it clears soon :)

Happy weekend all :)
