Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.

Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats

I second having a good cry as it clears the negativey faster.

Dolly with all those drinking events lined up you will definitely get you bfp, I firmly believe in PMA and Sod's law haha
I've got a getaway booked for our 3rd anniversary in June. Just the UK though in a holiday cottage next to our wedding venue.
Think it's quite tricky to book anything in advance abroad when your ttc.

Awww no charley! :( I haven't been on here today and was hoping to check in and see a bfp I am so sorry nasty af got you! Hope you feel better after your cry - letting it all out is a good release. Be kind to yourself over the weekend, take it easy. Then get back on thus ttc bike and let's go this!

Hippy - fx for you for your bfp! And the pma on this thread is definitely helping us all! I for one am nowhere near as crazy and erratic as I have been previous cycles so thank you!!

Yes Moo I agree, I only dip in and out but I feel much calmer this month. DH is away at mo and it's my FW so maybe that I have no expectation makes me calmer. We dtd just before he left on Tuesday so you never know- and anyway I don't know when I ovulate although I have serious period like pains now and I am Day 11. I am temping too and using opk! I don't seem to ever get a positive though and I wonder is it because I have a weak bladder and never have concentrated enough wee!!!!!!
I think I asked before but how old is everyone here- have a feeling I'm on the upper end of our age group at 38!

I've just turned 36 - loving the similarities ladies! a lot of '80s babies here :)

Per an app i'm using i should be opk tomorrow or sat. had abdominal cramps, tender boobs and felt pukey this evening. did opks and i got my static smiley - peak fertility - eeeek!

iv only just got my head around TTC but cannot get my head around how quickly iv become fertile (if the tests are correct) after 20+yrs of BC. my mind is blown!

iv no preference to baby gender at all, DH has made no secret of desire for a DS! just asked earlier as the app i'm using is giving % each day during fw of girl/boy. just wasn't sure how much people bought into that.

any tips on how to keep from obsessing on the 2ww? i have a very addictive personality and can imagine i'll be POAS'ing constantly!

fx for all POAS ladies tomorrow and over the weekend xx

Baking - sorry af is staying too long and giving you grief ... definitely recommend early nights I usually get to bed by 10pm :))

I'm maybe one of the youngest at 28? Only a handful of my friends around my age have either had babies and/or are trying. Another reason I love being part of this thread - I love that all TCC wisdom is shared from those that are more clued up!

Hi blondie - i drink a lot of water so pee a lot too ... so i use first morning urine with opks and I found acupuncture weekly has helped with regulating cycle and ovulation xxx

Bella - hi .... you need to keep busy focused and positive in the 2ww in my opinion ... obsessing and poas everyday will not help :))))) and nor does googling the shit out of every symptom.... but we all do it anyway :))) xxx

So cd27 and I'm hanging on in there - I have not yet poas however I'm not gonna lie ... this is increasingly tempting!
Oh is at work tomorrow morning and as it's the wk end I'm wondering whether I should test or not ...
Pro's of testing -
At least I'll know one way or other.
If it's not good news then I'll have all day to cry and get over it without oh noticing (he doesn't know how hard I'm tTC) although thanks to you guys I'm feeling like this might not happen
if it's good news - oh is off Sunday so he will have time to digest the news

Cons-
Waste a frer / waste of money
If bad news af will be so imminent it will be annoying

The witch might turn up today ... i will keep you posted

I'm feeling like I can handle potential bad news but saying that my heart will still race like hell during the two minute wait for the result ... ive only ever had one other month where I've been in with a slight chance ... last month we didnt even dtd in fw so i was super chilled knowing it wasn't going to happen.
No chance of taking my mind off it though ... this has just arrived Wink xxx
