Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Sorry that meant to say - trying so hard not to get my own hopes up :)))

Well I've just had bright red blood Sad expecting full AF today now.

Eek hippy, you've had a fair few 26 day cycles so that's super excited you got to that today. I would try (I know, I know haha) to hold out testing until Saturday and then I think you'll get a nice strong BFP that you can show the other half Wink

Hippychic79 · 09/02/2017 09:10

FlowersCakeWine I'm soooooooooooo sorry Charley .... im gutted for you.... it's weird - I feel everyone else's disappointment when the witch arrives .... I really thought this PMA lark would net lots of bfp's and I'm feeling like I've let you all down.... that said ... PMA ... I'm confident it will happen ... spring is just round the corner and I think it's a much easier time for our bodies to conceive ... warmer weather, more energy etc etc.
I will refrain until Saturday minimum and in the meantime will keep you posted xxx

Aw hippy don't be silly! If anything your PMA has been the only thing keeping me sane. I was an absolute loony last cycle. I spotted every symptom and crashed so hard when AF came. I'm obviously a little upset, but nothing last last month! Thank you so much for all of your happiness, it's really been a totally different month. I'm 100% on board with the PMA still for you and fully expect a beautiful BFP pic from you on Saturday!

I've noticed Salem hasn't been around.., I hope she's ok x

Hippychic79 · 09/02/2017 09:55

Awww thanks Charley … I know what you mean though, the PMA on this thread which everyone has contributed to has kept me sane too. Last cycle I wasn’t even in with a chance because I didn’t dtd in fw, but the cycle before I crashed so hard, I’m surprised I didn’t end up in intensive care for a few weeks  I’m genuinely and truly very very very grateful that you’ve all come on board with the PMA… that’s not to say we can’t moan now and again … anyone with af especially on day 1 is more than entitled to wallow and moan. I just got a bit fed up on some of the other threads because they occasionally get very negative (even when they haven’t got af), and they’re so busy its easy for people to get ignored…. I kind of knew that by setting up a PMA thread, not everyone would buy into it and therefore it would be more intimate and friendly.

Thank you for overwhelming confidence that you’ll see a strong BFP from me on Saturday … I’m not convinced either way mate to be honest. I’m just trying (and failing) to keep a level head …. I never envisaged being this consumed by TTC!

I think Salem has a busy week at work – I believe she is a teacher…. Think it’s half term next week so hopefully she’ll be back on here more often.

How’s everyone else doing today?

xxx

Morning ladies Smile

Charley I'm so sorry and so gutted for you if this is AF. I'm on CD3 now so we might be entering the FW around the same time this month, so we'll keep each other going with lots of PMA Smile

Hippy We've all got our FX for you and your BFP now so you'd better not disappoint Wink

I'm feeling a lot more positive now, and so looking forward to my FW in a few weeks

ArchiesMamaBird · 09/02/2017 10:42

Oh and I've also been doing a bit of research and came across a couple of interesting bits:

natural-fertility-info.com/royal-jelly.html
This one is about Royal Jelly Supplements (so obvs I went straight to Amazon to order some Grin) and this old Mumsnet thread about Manuka Honey

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/1298572-Manuka-honey-helping-to-concieve

Might be worth a little look Smile

Dollydaydream2829 · 09/02/2017 10:45

Charley, I'm so sad for you, I thought this would be the month for you. Not to worry though, just means a lot of BFPs are due to swing our way next month!
Hippy, I've got good vibes for you for the weekend! My fingers are crossed!
I'm CD4 here, not much happening. March is a REALLY busy month for me. Multiple 'big' birthdays for family & friends, an engagement party and a baby shower. What's the betting I get my BFP the end of Feb and therefore have to navigate the social minefield of avoiding alcohol all these events?! I would GLADLY welcome the challenge if so!
I also arranged a dirty weekend away with DH end of this month - figured it's something we won't be able to do willy nilly if we had a baby so why not enjoy while we can?!
Anyone else got any exciting plans coming up?

Hippychic79 · 09/02/2017 10:57

Archies - thank you for the links on Royal Jelly & Manuka Honey... I know Manuka is really really good for you but wow it's pricey, especially if you buy the stronger stuff which obviously is better (as you would expect). This TTC lark is so expensive! I've ordered a new book by Jillan Michaels called Yeah Baby... hoping it arrives today so I will share lots more tips soon :))

Nice one Dolly - I love a dirty weekend with OH, we often go on spa trips overnight, problem is he relaxes so much he falls asleep :)

Dolly - thank you for your good vibes and crossed fingers... I don't think i've got anything left to cross!

Bring on the avoid booze cruise challenge :)))))

Oh Charley I'm sorry AF showed up.

Cry, scream, drink alcohol and then get up and go again. Every month you are one step nearer to your BFP.... that's the way you have to think of it. Xxx

MissMagpie · 09/02/2017 15:16

So we dtd last night and I tested on the other Clear Blue opk kit (which just tests for LH) this morning and got my smiley so def at peak fertility. Not sure if DH can manage today after Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Might have to wait til tmrw morning. But either way I should be covered. The NHS says that the 2 days prior to ovulation are key so if I ovulate today I did both days.
Is it possible to tell exactly when you ovulate within the 48 hour window of the opk test?!

Hippychic79 · 09/02/2017 16:12

Hi magpie - looks like your well covered :)) I've googled whether you could tell when your actually ovulating earlier and it says - that typical signs could include cramps, instead even in cm, breast tenderness, fluid retention and appetite or mood changes ... i don't think you can find out an exact time .... I keep a very detailed spreadsheet and I've been trying to calculate all day what kind of chance I'm in with this month.... it's driving me nuts! :))))

We can only so much I think ... and it sounds like you've done all you can ... good luck with getting another bd in ... but remember ... you just need one strong swimmer xxxx

OP posts:
Hippychic79 · 09/02/2017 16:18

That should read increase in cm sorry xx

BellaMoon · 09/02/2017 18:09

isn't AF just a big ugly brute that won't just do one? sorry charley, hope and all for next month

i'm also on first fw since stopping bc. don't usually ovulate due to that so glad you posted symptoms of this as i have had incredibly tender boobies today, as well as feeling a bit pukey. all new to me ladies so reading your comments has answered a lot of questions that you've saved me asking.

still flashing smiley on the opks, on paper, static smiley should be tomorrow. going to be a rather active weekend for me and DH!

anyone buy into the likelihood of boy/girl depending on when you dtd pre-ovulation? i'm intrigued by this but don't know how much to pay heed

a colleague of mine actually commented on my PMA when i arrived at work today - guess that's cos i read this thread when i woke up Smile

mrsbarnettsbaby · 09/02/2017 18:31

Tiny bit of pink on wiping again tonight but nothing more. Put a pad on this morning convinced af would show and teaching all day. Nothing there. Wish it would make its mind up either way. FX for some bfps soon.

Charley2016 · 09/02/2017 19:00

Hey lovelies, bit of a hard day today. The problem with working with children is seeing parents who clearly don't care about them. Seems so unjust that me and my staff bend over backwards to support these parents and i can't be one myself. So I've just got home after a day of fake smiles and crawled in to bed for a good cry. However, I know me getting upset get dh down so I'm getting it all out now, and then I'm back to the PMA and getting my head straight for all the group march BFPs (after everyone else feb ones of course).

MrsB I'm amazed you're managing to hold of testing! I have my fingers firmly crossed!

Magpie sounds like you are very much sorted for fw! I think they say temping narrows down the time of ovulation but I'm not sure that the hassle is worth it if you know what your body's doing for the best part.

Dolly your March sounds amazing! I have 3 family party/get together weekends in march. Let's hope we're discussing ways to fake still drinking soon.

Charley2016 · 09/02/2017 19:02

Archie looking forward to us all being close cycle buddies! My next BFP will be due 8/3 so fertile week starts next weekend. What's your cycle looking like?

Hippy are you still looking good for your BFP?

I've quite proudly not cracked and had a drink! So not only a whole weekend without, but also no sorrow drowning either Smile

Roseandbee · 09/02/2017 19:14

Sorry AF got you Charley! But I'm glad this thread is helping you. it is a waiting game but I think sometimes a little more anticipation can make your bfp extra special, as some else said your one month closer to your bfp
Hippy it's a great idea for a thread it doesn't matter if AF gets everyone cos next month everyone will be twice as happy about the bfps.
Ttc although frustrating and sad at times is also very exciting, it almost seems a shame to miss out on the experience by getting your bfp very quickly or even by accident and you appreciate things more if you had to put in a bit of effort to get them.

Missmagpie those are the dtd timings I've done this cycle, missing out my actual opk day. Ovia seemed to think the day before my opk was the most fertile

Hippychic79 · 09/02/2017 20:16

Bella - I'm not convinced that timings dictate whether you have a boy or a girl ... did you have a preference? I'm impressed your PMA is shining out to others ... nice one xxx

Mrsb - I too have my fingers firmly crossed for you xxx

Hippychic79 · 09/02/2017 20:19

Charley - sorry to hear you've had a hard day - I know lots of people who slag their kids off and think it's funny to tell me I'm lucky .... insensitive arse holes :))). My oh doesn't know what to do when I'm upset either ... but if you need to have a good cry ... you let it all out. Sending you big virtual hugs xxx
Still no af and still not poas here xxx

Hippychic79 · 09/02/2017 20:25

Thank you Rose ... I love your PMA... you point out things that I don't necessarily think about ... like those ladies who accidentally get their bfp's and miss out all the fun in tTC and getting to know such beautiful lovely ladies xxx thank you xxx

Oh charley lots of 💐❤️🍷🍰 for you. Let it out, spoil yourself then chin up ready for your next fw.

Sorry I've been mia this week, not very supportive of me!! 😳 Could do with some matchsticks for my eyes!! Can't wait for a lie in at the weekend!!

Hippy my fingers are firmly crossed for you!! How fabulous it would be if you were our first bfp on here!!! 🤞🏼 Xx

bakingmad83 · 09/02/2017 20:32

Sorry af arrived for you Charley. Got my fingers crossed for you MrsB!

Day 5 of af here and still quite heavy. Feeling drained and it's made me realise I need to start going to bed up earlier if I'm going to be up in the night - know it's obvious, but always see the evening as time for myself! Hoping that more sleep will also help me stay off the diet coke and sweet stuff, as relying on this to get me through long days. The last 2 days haven't let myself have either, probs partly why I feel so tired, but will feel better for it in the long run I'm sure. I'm pretty good at sticking to low GI carbs for meals, just need to do the same for snacks :)

With having earlier nights I'm not sure how much I'll be on here now, but good luck ladies!

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 09/02/2017 20:58

Sorry to hear about AF Charley and thank you for thinking of me xxx Hippy is right in just so flipping busy at work!!! But still thinking of everyone on here.
Stupid AF is giving me awful back pain BUT at least I can have some all of the wine next Friday to celebrate half term, woohoo!
Sarah lend me some matchsticks too please!!! Thank GAWD it is Friday tomorrow, what a week.
Also so many people seem to be upduffed all of a sudden, I can't believe it. Let's hope we get a BFP soon! Sending positive vibes to everyone
I'll update the stats list at the weekend when I'm on my Laptop. Typing on my phone is the worst! Love to all xxxx
