Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Sorry to hear you have thrush Phase, hope it clears up soon.

Good to know that your test results came back normal MamaBird, hope you get your BFP very soon

Rose I didn't know about the 2nd surge either, that's interesting to know, wondering if that's partly why I'm getting longer cycles at the mo, as always on the go with a little one, up in the night and still feeding could be a type of stress?

Charley ages since I've had a nice relaxing soak, think I'll try to get one myself this week :) You'll be enjoying one soon in your new bathroom Moo

Happy birthday Salem, sorry you've got AF now, was really hoping your spotting meant a bfp, but here's to the next cycle!

Lovely early Valentine's present Hippychic! We don't really bother if I'm honest on the day, just tend to do something nice when the mood takes us.

Thanks for the suggestion for allergies Hippychic. Tbh though with cow's milk protein allergy in young children, it's rare they can tolerate the milk from goats/sheep/buffalo either, as the proteins are so similar and trigger the same immune response. DS projectile vomits and has nappies full of watery poop when he has anything other than highly processed milk (like cake/biscuits made with butter) so just erring on the side of caution with him at the mo. 90% outgrow cow's milk protein allergy by the time they're 5, so hopefully he'll be one of them :)

It was my messy play group today - fairy tales theme :) I've had a poor turnout in recent months and was wondering if I should call it a day, as wasn't covering my costs. But today I had enough little ones there, so hopefully can keep going :)

I've been typing this in a new tab so I can look back at previous posts, so hoping I haven't missed anyone - apologies if I have!

bakingmad83 · 07/02/2017 22:19

Welcome Bella, I don't know anything about opks, but that would be great if you're fertile the first month off bc. Good luck!

BellaMoon · 07/02/2017 22:25

@bakingmad83 thank you. there's so much info on these test kits. i was genuinely not expecting that flashing Smile today. DH convinced me to buy it as he can't deal with "if i'm ovulating then we could conceive on..." chat. genuinely concerned about my weight and wondering now if i should have prioritised losing that before stopping BC. arrrghhhh the conundrum! Confused

bakingmad83 · 07/02/2017 22:38

Bella from what I understand if your weight is problematic to pregnancy (either too low or high) you don't tend to ovulate, so if you're following a healthy lifestyle that's more important. I'm sure you can make changes that would allow weight loss when ttc if you're sensible - keeping to balanced diet and watching portions/treat foods rather than cutting out food groups or over-restricting yourself. Even if you conceive this cycle, you can prevent putting on too much weight in pregnancy by following similar principles - I used to see ladies with higher BMI during pregnancy when I worked in the NHS, so do have a bit of background with this.

Nice surprise for you with the opks then! Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

BellaMoon · 07/02/2017 22:44

thanks again @bakingmad83

i don't know why it has all of a sudden become so important to me to lose weight - such a strange reaction to a flashing smiley face haha. anyway, i believe i am healthy despite the pounds.

i'm sure the DH will have some novel ideas on how i can burn some extra calories now there's business to be getting on with Blush

xx

sweetcheeks24 · 07/02/2017 22:50

Happy birthday Salem! Sorry to hear about AF, as well as your friend Sad
Wow Hippy, lovely V-Day pressie!
I hadn't even thought about V-Day plans - doubt we'll be doing anything though; our social life took a bit of a hit after DS came along but I'm more of a homebody anyway Smile
DH came back from stag do last night; he's stuffed full of the cold and in bed early. Hope he recovers soon because I need him to be in good health and full of energy in time for FW! Wink

charley - how you doing today? Xxx

I'm cd25 today and still haven't poas... not going to lie it's massively tempting ... I don't know - i guess it's not worth wasting a frer for the sake of a few days

Started spotting today. Really hoping it's not AF. However it probably is. Cd57 today.

Charley2016 · 08/02/2017 07:23

Morning hippy, I just woke all dazed and confused. Another dream that I poas at work, got a positive then ran round whispering it to everyone Confused I've literally dreamt about it everyday since the weekend. I think my heads telling me I'm stressing about it too much but I don't know how not to think about it haha! Jumped out of bed to pee so that I don't have fmu to tempt me. Well done on not testing, you've done amazing!

Mrs, sorry about the spotting! I really hope it's not AF for you!

Salem, how are you this morning?

Sweet hope dh is still resting and reserving all his energy for fw.

Bella I really want to lose the weight first too but I think every time I get AF now I end up comfort eating for a week haha! Are you going to do a certain diet or anything?

Baking playgroup sounds great! One of my staff was off yesterday and I couldn't get cover for her so I cancelled a meeting and went in to cover. Was so nice to have a whole afternoon just playing with the children again!

Hope everybody has a lovely day!

Hippychic79 · 08/02/2017 07:32

Sorry to hear about your spotting mrs b - hope its not af but if it is ... least you can crack on with a new cycle ... 57 days you have the patience of a saint xxx

Charley - dreaming about pregnancy is a good sign I think ... dreaming is something we do subconsciously and when the subconscious mind accepts what we want it usually executes it... I've read lots of books on the power of the subconscious mind so I know a little bit about how it works.
Well done for getting rid of the fmu - I did the same .... this will be my first cycle of properly trying where I haven't poas early .... after Sunday I will officially be late ... seems like forever away .... variable cycles are a bit of a pain.

Xxx

Sorry to hear about the spotting MrsB - really hope it's not wicked AF.
Hippy and Charley, impressed by your patience! And Charley, awwww re the dreams! I used to get dreams like that too when TTC first time round, I would wake up so happy! And must have been really lovely for you getting to play with all the little people at work for a change. Good advice Hippy - you are so clued up! Amazing knowledge resource in this threadGrinWink
On my way to work now after the stressful nursery drop off! Looking forward to relaxing on the bus! Wink
Hope everyone has a great day - thanks for today's PMA quotes Hippy x

BellaMoon · 08/02/2017 07:53

@charley2016 have gained approx 12lbs since wedding in early nov so guess that's just on my mind. did slimming world pre-wedding which was great for a carboholic big eater like me. so back on the slimming world bus for me, which iv read is TTC friendly due to a lot of fresh unprocessed foods.

good luck and fx to all about to POAS this morn.

opks and i have my flashing smiley face for day 2 - know it's only a guide but still blown away that i'm getting this after 20+yrs on BC and 1 cycle in.

PMA order of the day for me, iv made this TTC decision so why don't i believe my body can do it... i'm such a weirdo when it comes to this xxx

MissMagpie · 08/02/2017 08:16

Because I am a stress head I am starting to mildly panic I am not going to ovulate this month.

I have had flashing smileys every morning this week but no static yet. Lots of EWCM too.

The last two months I have had a maximum of 2 flashing smileys. So now I am wondering what's going on. I am on CD15 and have ovulated at cd 15 and 21 the previous 2 months.

Need to calm down and be patient but neither are my forte!

Anyone else have inconsistent ovulation?

Charley2016 · 08/02/2017 08:21

Thanks hippy! That's great information. Before TTC I dreamt a lot that I would start to think I was pregnant and just suddenly go in to labour so the BFP makes a change at least haha!

Bella I've gained just under 3 stone since start of October so don't feel too bad Blush I just presumed I'd get pregnant and fat so no need to watch what I'm eating which of course just made me fat and not pregnant! Luckily I'm super tall so don't carry it too badly but I feel awful. Back to ww and trying to stay off the booze! Good luck with sw! I lost 3 stone on that a few years ago.

Bella don't worry! I'm sure you will ov soon! Mine normally differs between day 13-16. I think they say that can vary but your luteral phase should stay very similar. Make sure you get lots of dtd in Wink

Charley2016 · 08/02/2017 08:47

I wish Ovia would stop telling me to take a pregnancy test!!! I'm so easily swayed 😂

Hippychic79 · 08/02/2017 08:58

Sweet - reference the quotes you are very welcome and thank you kindly for saying that I'm clued up - I guess one of the advantages of being the wrong side of 30 is that you wise up a bit. I love reading and am really interested in how you program your mind to help execute what you want in life. Books like the secret and just ask the universe are really interesting.

Bella - I'm sure you can lose a few pounds if you put your mind to it. I quit smoking about 17 days ago (yes I'm counting) and am expecting to put on a couple of pounds but hey ho. I don't really like the word diet it has the word 'die' in it - how can this be good? I would just suggest introducing some healthy habits - more veg, less carbs, you need good fats - meat, nuts etc. the other tip i would give is - try and get one meal right at a time, so focus on a healthy breakfast and when you've mastered that, then look at healthy lunches etc. Also a bit of exercise maybe - yoga is supposed to be good for ttc and not too strenuous. Good Luck :) xxx

Magpie - try not to stress too much hun, I'm sure you will ovulate soon... lots of EWCM is a good sign so I would try and dtd as much as poss - apparently sperm can live up to 7 days. I not saying 'try not to stress' is easier said than done... i am not going to lie, i am stressing big time right now .... worrying whether the witch is going to rear her ugly head or not... at least when you do a pg test you kind of prepare yourself... i'm in unknown territory right now .... is not knowing really better? I'll get back to you on that one :)))

Charley - I love the fact that you're always laughing haha :) ... I bet you're a right good giggle on a girly night out. With your PMA I've got a good feeling your BFP is near....

That said... I think we're all a lot more positive and I'm excited to see all of our BFP's start rolling in soon... no pressure ladies :))))

ArchiesMamaBird · 08/02/2017 09:36

Hippychic I think it's 1000 before starting a new thread? Or there about, so maybe when we hit 900 start thinking about starting a new one.

Salem Sorry to hear about AF arriving, I've worked out my dates and I think I'll either get BFP or AF on my birthday next month. I'm on CD2 now so lets keep each other company over the next few weeks (along with anyone else who's been visited by AF this week)

Charley and Hippy I've got such a good feeling about you 2 getting your BFP's this week Smile

Bella Hello! You're joining such a lovely group of positive ladies Smile

mrsBarnett Fx this isn't AF for you Flowers

Sorry if I've missed anyone, I'm meant to be working but can't keep off this thread Grin

Roseandbee · 08/02/2017 10:09

Is it a 1000 posts?

Well I'm hoping to see lots of BFPs I love checking each morning to see if there are any.

Charley I dreamt last night that I had an implantation bleed among other weird dreams

Hippychic79 · 08/02/2017 11:01

Thanks Ladies - I'll keep an eye and make sure a new thread is started when required, however should someone else wish to do so ... that's cool with me... my only wish is that we all stick together until we all get BFP's :)

Thanks Archies for your 'good feeling' vibe... I was feeling confident at the beginning of the 2WW but now its dwindling and i feel nervous and anxious... I'm trying to stay level headed... but why is it so bloody hard?! I keep daydreaming about telling OH and then have to shake myself off and have a stern word with myself. Still googling symptoms - today is boobs ... which incidentally have been sore for over a week but seem to be less sore today. I spoke with my cousin last night who incidentally has 2 DD's and so i asked her if she had any early pg signs, to which she replied 'no, none'. I then stupidly asked how long it took her tTC and she replied 'first cycle with the 1st and 2nd cycle with the 2nd'.... she was was 25 when she had her first and 27 when she had her 2nd.... but i was like really? That quick? No OPK's... she was like 'no, no opks'. I had TTC envy big time :)
Archies & Rose - I'm the same as you ... really addicted to this thread (you can probably tell this), I think i've moved my smoking addiction on to MN addiction :) I desperately want us to all get our BFP's soon

Salem - so sorry to hear about af :( and on your birthday too - so cruel. There's a few of us will have fertile weeks around the same time mid Feb so let's do this!! Also hope everything is OK with your friend.

I'm interested in this sperm to egg plan ... I'll have to Google and get oh on board along with everything else we're planning to try this month!

Rose - fx for your valentines bfp!

Mrsbarnett - hope af stays away, sending some positive thoughts your way.

Baking - messy play sounds fab! I run a rainbow group (girls aged 4-7) and I love it. Disappointing you've had a poor turnout but hopefully your numbers will continue to pick up. There's a lot of baby names that are just a no no because of association with girls I've had in rainbows - I'm sure you're the same!!

Hippy - very romantic oh you have - that's lovely :) well done on holding out but I know what you mean about the fear - if we don't do it then we don't see snow white and we are pg until proven otherwise! Fx that second line appears when you do give in and poas!

Sweet - fx hubby recovers and is in tip top baby making condition for fw!

Charley - vivid dreams are an early pg symptom - fx it's a sign! :)

Bella - welcome! That all sounds positive re ov ... I use IC opks so not sure about the smiley faces etc

Dolly - v good PMA re the antenatal chats, I hope we can all migrate to an antenatal chat and then a post natal chat together!! (Sooner rather than later!)

I think that's me caught up ... sorry if I've missed anyone out!

Happy hump day everyone! Esp for anyone in fw who will literally be having a happy hump day!! ;)
