Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

mrsjkerry · 08/02/2017 10:55

Is the March train another thread or do you mean here!? We are DTD every day this cycle 😄😄 husband happy to comply

Hi ladies. My fw starts on 14th so fingers crossed. I've been violently ill these last few days with a severe sinus infection. Probably why I felt so crappy leading up to AF. Still feel crappy but improving slowly. I started to worry I was wasting time but seems not.

I've decided to try & go back to basics with dtd & make it more about wanting my husband cos he's rather hot rather than wanting a baby. I'm going to really make an effort to please him. Old fashioned maybe but he deserves it & maybe I will remember that's it's supposed to be fun!!!

mrsjkerry · 11/02/2017 16:34

How is everyone doing? My husband and I have DTD every day since AF ended. 21 days to go...!

OP posts:
88claire · 11/02/2017 16:47

CD 29 and 6 days til pregnancy test according to OVIA, 6 dpo

Had so much bleeding this morning I thought it was AF but has since stopped. It was either the erosion I was diagnosed with bleeding or im still clearing out from my miscarriage. I wish I thought it was implantation but I doubt it as it started a few days ago so would have been too early.

That's a good effort Kerry i really hope it pays off for you!!

mrsjkerry · 11/02/2017 16:56

Claire - do you mean a cervical erosion? They bleed sporadically don't they...you may well need to take a couple of cycles to work out your normal after MC.

OP posts:
88claire · 11/02/2017 16:58

Yes Cervical Erosion. It's very annoying as I don't know if that's bleeding or something else! My cycle has always been all over the place so it can't any worse I suppose.

I wasn't even going to try until I got my first AF post MC so not expecting much from this cycle.

We shall see!! When's testing day for you?

ttcnovice · 11/02/2017 17:08

Hi everyone, who is next to test?

Sorry you're having bleeding claire, it must be hard figuring out what the specific cause is for different bleeds. Fx for your testing in 6 days!

mrsj good DTD efforts from you this month! I bet you're knackered after all of that Grin

I'm feeling a bit down today on last day of AF. Starting to think what if something's wrong now I'm onto cycle number 4. Doesn't seem as early days as cycle 3 did!

mrsjkerry · 11/02/2017 17:22

TTC - don't be down. 4 months really isn't all that long to be trying! Last day of AF means a whole fresh cycle of trying again!

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 11/02/2017 17:35

Hey girlies, I'm the same as ttc lol I've stopped counting the cycles I've been off the pill (6!!!) and only consider I've been "trying" since Nov when I started tracking and opk 😩😳 otherwise I'm half way to needing a doctors visit as they say a year,,, although I'm 32 which I don't feel is much different to 35 so if nothing happens in the next couple of months, I'm gonna book an appointment anyway. Makes me feel sick even writing that!
But anyway! Let's try and stay positive for eachother as we all know that worry and stress is literally the body's own contraception 😐
I'm on CD10 and fw starts tomorrow (according to Clue) and ends on the 21st (according to Ovia) as the 2 apps don't match up! So I'm gonna have to go flat out for the next 10 days lol.
Negative opk today x

ttcnovice · 11/02/2017 18:04

Thanks mrsj positive thoughts all round this month I think! We will try to emulate your DTD efforts starting from tomorrow - DH won't complain put it that way!

Hi Misty you're right, stress can't help can it! Lets stay optimistic together this cycle Smile. Looks like a tiring but fun 10 days ahead for you Grin.

MistyBxx · 11/02/2017 18:10

Stress is so bad! Hubs and I have been arguing recently (nothing serious) and I keep thinking come on now, don't get annoyed lol it's so hard. He's in work and Ive cleaned the house and now chilling with a cheeky drink watching the rugby, so hopefully will be nice and calm by the time he gets home lol 😂

ttcnovice · 11/02/2017 18:17

Cleaning is my go to de-stress activity Misty Grin as strange as that sounds! What are you drinking, anything nice?

DH and I are having an early Valentine's tonight as he's on call on Tuesday. Baked camembert with a few different things to dip in (garlic bread yum!) followed by melted chocolate with strawberries and marshmallows, delish! But first he's watching the football EnvyGrin.

mrsjkerry · 11/02/2017 18:30

Haha and I am a naturally stressed person so that can't help! Well it's half term next week so maybe having a lie in and not being up so early will aid my efforts. It's also apparently my fertile week!

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 11/02/2017 18:37

Classy lady as I am, I'm on the strongbow dark fruits! I was enjoying the rugby til 5 mins ago when England came back and took over! Gutted now lol (I love England by the way lol my mum is English but I'm Welsh and I was watching this to de-stress haha!)

Ooooh your food sounds gorgeous!! Hope you have a fab night!!

I'm naturally a stress-head too, I would worry about having nothing to worry about if I could 😂 nice lie ins next week for your fw then MrsKerry!

Twistedsister7 · 11/02/2017 18:49

Ttc - when I had my implant removed the nurse told me the average couple takes 12 months to conceive. Whilst that feels like forever I repeat it to myself regularly when I start to worry. I am similar to you in cycles trying. I'm 32 & DH just turned 36. I really would like to at least be pregnant in 2017 - fx it's the year of the baby!!

Ps I have Camembert envy now xx

ttcnovice · 11/02/2017 19:00

Thanks Misty I'm starving waiting for it! I've not tried the Strongbow dark fruits but I do like the occasional Kopparberg!

That's interesting Twisted I wonder if she was correct? I think people are probably happier to talk about how long it took them to conceive if it was quickly rather than if it took longer. So that probably explains why it seems the world and their neighbour can conceive without even trying!

mrsjkerry · 11/02/2017 19:15

I am 25, so young enough. Husband is 40. So could be him 😄

OP posts:
MistyBxx · 11/02/2017 19:18

Twisted I'm 32 and my hubs is 36 😂

Well I was told the opposite! Last went to docs last year and told her I was getting married in sept so was going to come off the pill in Aug to let it come out my system before sept. She advised against it and said I should keep taking it right up until my wedding day because her very words were "you'll be at your most fertile as soon as you stop taking the pill so don't risk it if you want to wait til you're married."
I took the pill til my last pack finished the last week of Aug and then just never started a new pack in sept and got married then.
So with what she said, I honestly didn't think I even needed to "try" at all, we had lots of sexy time over the wedding and honeymoon and it was only in Nov after another af I started thinking hmmm maybe it's not that easy after all!

Twistedsister7 · 11/02/2017 21:24

Obviously the advice varies depending on who you see. It's so frustrating for all of us ttc. What's the truth? I guess it is impossible to say but gah, I don't know what to think.

Just keep dtd I guess. I think if I get to six months I might make an appt & ask more questions. I have other health issues which will perhaps be affecting me. Although family planning nurse wasn't overly concerned. However my diabetes nurse wasn't impressed when I mentioned we were ttc.

The way I see it we may as well start trying but I am making valid steps in controlling my diabetes & would continue to do so should I become pregnant. There would never be a right time if you considered all life factors!

mrsjkerry · 12/02/2017 09:26

What's the truth is right twisted! I have 5 different apps I use to hone in on FW. 2 say I start tomorrow. 1 says I start today. And 2 insist it's Wednesday. So what's the truth? I don't know. But I'll be DTD everyday anyway!!

OP posts:
Twistedsister7 · 12/02/2017 11:13

Sounds like a plan & I am doing the same. Fx for us all x

MistyBxx · 12/02/2017 12:03

So my fw according to Clue started today so dtd this morning. Didn't lie down for long afterwards, about 15 mins bum up on cushion but went for a wee after and lots fell out 😩 does anyone else feel horrible seeing it disappear down the loo?? Arghhh 🙈x

mrsjkerry · 12/02/2017 12:15

Yes I do too. However - that's just all the mucus that the sperm live in. You should remind yourself that the sperm has actually already left the goo and gone where it needs to go. At least, that's what everything I've read says... My pregnant friend says she always went to the toilet immediately afterwards. 🙄

I went to loo straight after for all the previous cycles. This month I've DTD everyday and left it in for hours. Not risking anything!
