Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

So Friday 13th lived up to its unlucky reputation for me - AF arrived this morning, bang on time Sad. CD1 of cycle #3 I guess...

mrsjkerry · 14/01/2017 22:25

TTC - cycle three is still a fairly early one. Don't lose hope!

Thanks mrsj Flowers looking forward to AF leaving now so we can get started again!

How's everyone getting on?

88claire · 15/01/2017 13:09

Hello ladies.

I guess I'll be back soon as I miscarried on Friday. Very sad but we know we can conceive without too many problems... Onwards and upwards!

ttcnovice · 15/01/2017 15:49

So sorry to hear that claire FlowersSad how are you doing? Look after yourself xxx

Pinkbottletop · 15/01/2017 19:05

Sorry to hear that Claire

Hi all, I'm new to this. 27 and TTC for baby number 1. Been off the pill for 13 months now and have just ovulated for the first time yesterday but on day 27 of my cycle? Have had irregular cycles which I thought were getting back to normal but this late ovulation has thrown me! Any advice would be appreciated 😊

passmethewine123 · 16/01/2017 07:29

Hi! Can I join?!

Cycle 1 for me, 7dpo...what I think was ovulation anyway!

It's all been a bit vague this month, could have ovulated anywhere between 9th and 13th. Had pains in one side on the 9th so I'm going with that date.

Have bought a basal body thermometer and lots of OPK's so going to be more on the ball next month.

Really really really trying not to symptom spot but it's so hard!

passmethewine123 · 16/01/2017 07:30

Clare sorry to read about your MC, but well done for being strong and staying positive Flowers

mrsjkerry · 16/01/2017 17:45

I am trying so hard to calm down and not stress about things but I have a naturally anxious temperament and worry about everything.

I've been doing my reading, and read that trying too hard and stressing out about TTC can damage your chances. But it hasn't escaped my notice that I've been having unprotected sex for five months now with no results...underneath all of my everyday activities bubbles away this constant worry that there's something wrong with me...

Thank you ladies.

I'm ok, im just thankful it happened so soon. It wasn't nice when I went for a scan for bleeding and they couldn't see anything so said it was either ectopic or already miscarried! I was supposed to go in for another scan and potentially a chemotherapy injection or surgery if they decided it might be ectopic. I miscarried overnight so at least I avoided any treatment.

We have decided to try properly next month but not use protection this month if you know what I mean. Using contraception when we desperately want a baby seems ridiculous! I understand why they say to wait a month but I don't think I can do it!

How is everyone doing?!

mrsjkerry · 21/01/2017 11:26

Hi Claire. Been very quiet on here last week or so- how are you doing?

I am what is apparently my fertile window but am yet to get a positive OPK...

Dollygirl27 · 21/01/2017 11:35

Hi all! I'm 26 and this will be our first if (when) it happens. Me and oh not using contraception but not actively ttc... I'm hoping it'll happen without charting and tracking if I don't get hung up on all the technicalities.

Sending good thoughts and baby dust to all! Good luck hope 2017 is everyone's Year!

ttcnovice · 21/01/2017 11:44

Hi everyone - I keep losing this thread!

CD9 over here, just waiting to get into FW. Doing CB OPKs this month so hopefully should get more of a definitive ovulation date.

How's everyone getting on?

ttcnovice · 21/01/2017 11:45

Welcome Dolly good luck and happy relaxed BD'ing to you!

mrsjkerry · 21/01/2017 11:48

This my OPK just now. Any thoughts? Is it a positive? The second line doesn't seem as strong but I'm not 100%..

Thanks ttc! Crossing my fingers to hear news of some BFPs soon!

ttcnovice · 21/01/2017 12:56

I'd say that's close enough to be positive mrsj - lots of BD'ing for you today!

Dollygirl27 · 21/01/2017 13:15

I'd say positive as well Smile

88claire · 21/01/2017 13:41

Currently on CD 8 if I go from the first day of the miscarriage. My cheapie OPKs and thermometer arrived this morning. I always seem to have a fairly strong line on the OPK so having to make sure it's definitely darker than the control line.

Not convinced about the thermometer as I did my temperature and first it told me 36.02 then it was 36.45 one minute later. The latter seemed more believable so went with that.

Pregnancy test came back negative so it seems all the hcg has gone from my system which is good I suppose. Just found my first pregnancy test from new years day. Made me feel quite sad! Sad can't quite bring myself to throw it away....!

How is everyone else doing?

88claire · 21/01/2017 13:43

Does anyone else find their OPK this dark (or darker) throughout the month?

TTC - First time!
mrsjkerry · 21/01/2017 13:48

Claire that must be upsetting! Take it as a good sign that you are able to conceive though like you said.

As for the OPKs, mine are definitely fainter than that and sometimes there is no second line at all. I use the same ones as you. If I had one as dark as yours I would assume it was positive...

OP posts:
88claire · 21/01/2017 13:56

Mrsjkerry

Hmmm I do wonder why they're so dark... I can't be ovulating all month! I'm definitely going to keep an eye on it. It seems very odd. That's probably the faintest ive ever seen it! It obviously doesn't affect fertility negatively as we did conceive but I hope it doesn't affect whether I can carry a baby to term or not. Better ask the GP!

88claire · 21/01/2017 14:00

Mrsjkerry

I think I must have turned the notifications off so I didn't see your earlier message. I'm ok thanks I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work on Monday now I'm going a bit mad at home!

Now the miscarriage is definitely over ive got something to occupy myself again with trying again. It seemed to help me psychologically to have an aim!

How are you? Good luck with the dark OPK... Fingers crossed this is your month!

ttcnovice · 21/01/2017 14:10

Sorry claire that must have been heartbreaking for you Sad. Feel free to come on here and vent to us all any time you need!
