TTC - First time!

Hello there

Is there anyone else on here trying for their first baby around the same age as me? 25/26? Would love to talk to someone about it as I am currently driving my husband mad with all the TTC chat!

Well maybe that's a good sign! I have my FX for you. Well I was doing it in the morning but yesterday I did it in the evening! When I TTC in 2014 it didn't matter what time I tested as I got a positive on my OPK at anytime of the day! I'm going to try again when I get home :) I'll keep you updated!!

So I'm not sure what to do... Did a cheapie test and it came out negative (as expected). But the spotting has completely stopped and I'm back to clear egg white discharge. I've been nauseous for ages and had quite a few pregnancy symptoms but not sure if it's all psychological!

Should I hold off drinking anything tomorrow just in case?! I only go out with work once a year and don't want to miss out on the fun If I'm only going to get AF the next day. Obviously if I thought I was pregnant I wouldn't drink but I just don't know!

Claire- well the way I look at it is would you be more annoyed at yourself if you drank and found out you were pregnant or would you be more annoyed if AF shows up and you didn't have a drink?? I don't think it would harm the baby unless you go OTT! How much was you planning on drinking if you do? X

I will do another test tomorrow morning - good idea! I don't hold out much hope though as I only have the cheapie ones from eBay so not the early detect ones or anything.

I think it's going to be a case of go along and have a glass or two of wine but not go overboard. I can't handle hangovers anymore anyway!

I'm just not sure what to think at the moment, it's all very confusing. Waiting is awful! I was sort of relieved when AF came along so I could have much more knowledge of myself and my cycle for next attempt....

Anyway we shall see!

Claire, I was convinced I was pregnant after I'd ovulated. Had every sign going and therefore didn't drink. When my period came, I was a bit annoyed. Many women who don't find out until they miss their period drink beforehand, so I think you'll be ok.

Yesterday was my work xmas party and I drank (I'm almost finished my period) but I can't seem to stomach alcohol the way I used to. That was the first symptom I had that made me think I was pregnant for sure.

Can someone explain what the acronyms you all use are? I've figured out a few, I think. Well, I know what you mean but I don't know what it stands for!

What ones are you still not sure of pink? There's probably a list somewhere but no idea how to find it! If you say any in particular I'll do my best to translate

Oh gosh - ok let me think of the ones I've seen.

I know CM is cervix mucas.

I know AFP means positive but what does it stand for?
Same with AFN and AF and OPK and FRER.

What is FX?

Do you mean BFP and BFN pink? Big fat positive and big fat negative respectively if so!

AF is auntie Flo aka your period
OPK is ovulation predictor kit
FRER is a First Response early result pregnancy test
Fx is fingers crossed

Has anyone taken Norethisterone before? I'm not wondering if maybe this is why I didn't get pregnant last month. I took it when I went to Ibiza in September and my doctor mentioned that it can have an effect on your periods and hormones for a while after.

Can anyone else see that?!

I've ordered some more sensitive ones so hopefully they will arrive while I'm at work to test with those tomorrow!

I am still going to go but won't drink.. I don't want to risk anything. I will see if I can get a better test at boots at the station before work but I'm running a bit late after squinting at a test this morning! Will try to get a better one before tomorrow either way.

Also I did an ovulation test last night and this morning! last nights one was a little more fainter than today! What does it mean? Will I ovulate soon? X

I'm definitely out now. AF arrived late last night. A bit gutted but I can enjoy some wine at various xmas events now (rather be pg of course but trying to find a bright side)

claire I can definitely see a very very faint line on your second picture! How exciting!!

AF due today for me but no signs at all so far. Boobs still painful and the nausea is still there. Still trying to not get my hopes up so I don't think I'll test today though!
