rahrah - for you a new thread!

OP posts:
rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 21:24

Which was CD17

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:31

Ok... I am by no means right. But... I have sat here like a nerd, and drawn out your chart on a spare page in my booklet and to me it looks like you ovulated on CD17 or CD18.

I have drawn your coverline at 36.4 (using the instructions in my book, not sure if it would be the same with TCOYF??) The temp dip on 16 and 17 look like possible pre-ovulation dips, then a dramatic hike on 19. I think more likely ovulation on late on cd17 and then the hormone wouldn't have released enough to make your temp rise as much as you see on 19 (am I making any sense?? - hope so)

I think you should ignore your temp on cd21 as it dips below the coverline, but that could have been for any number of reasons, so best to ignore it, mark as a disturbance perhaps??

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:33

So 17 or 18... which gives the egg plenty of time to get fertilised and implant itself Fingers crossed for you xx

rahrah1 · 13/02/2007 21:41

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO.... I have ovulated then !!!!!!

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO.....

Thanks Ready!!!!!!!!!!! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! !!

I'm So much happier now!

We had sex on CD18 so hopefully thats when I ovulated...

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:49

How mental is this, I have written Rahrah's chart on the page so I don't forget it's not me - if my dh looks at it, he may just think I have cracked up

I think your temps definitely show ovulation Rahrah The only reason I thought 17 was because of the pre-ov dip really, and I am not experienced enough yet to be certain. But then I do think it would have been late on 17 so that is still within the egg life window for sex on 18.

Ready · 13/02/2007 21:51

that should have been "Rahrah's chart" to emphasise that I wrote that. V tired. Must go and get in my PJs. x

THANKS READY>.... You are a STAR!!! I feel so much better already!

Yay rahrah! I knew you would try and catch me up soon in dpo... 5 dpo already, wow you are almost half way through the 2ww and you didn't even know it!

I have not decided when to test yet, I may have a moment of weakness when I get up in the morning, but maybe not... it is a bit early yet as fertility friend says I will only be 11 dpo tomorrow, 3 whole days before af due to arrive. I was hoping that honey would crack and test first, but it looks like honey is made of stronger willpower than me. Perhaps I will be good and wait til Saturday when af is due. Then I can do the test and af will feel free to arrive immediately! (or maybe not???)

I better go to bed or I will be wrecked in the morning. Night all....

Can anyone help with disturbed readings... This morning I woke up an hour earlier than normal and didn't think I'd get back to sleep, so took temperature- it was 36.88. I did end up falling asleep again and woke up at normal time, took temp and it was 36.55. I have gone with the first temp as it is in line with the first few I had PO (my last couple have been disturbed readings. Have I done the right thing? Hope this makes some sort of sense!

Mum03 - for your bfn, but early days yet - hope early testing just doesn't work for you.

Morning!
I have removed the bfn from the list Mum03- we really dont need to keep looking at it! Far too early days IMO.
My temps possibly on a downward trend...
hope tommorrow they will stick at 36.7 and no descend further. TBH we did no shag nearly as much as I would have liked. One more go next month for a late November baby, then I'm going to put my TTC boots up for 2 months. (or so i say now!!)

MUM03, Like I said on an earlier post only 51% of women can detect pregnancy up to 4 days prior to AF due date. It's says it on the advert so must be right! I had a test at the hospital when I was expecting Bertie, did not know at the time and it was negative. So it just does not work on every pregnancy. I would take it that your not pregnant, so you don't do any more tests, but then if your period is late...well I would go test crazy!
Sorry you did not just get your BFP.. It's not fair.. Stamp Feet

We seem to be logging on in order this morning (from the bottom up'ish anyway!!)
Weepootleflump - same thing happened to me this morning - woke up earlier than usual (about an hour earlier) and took temp - 36.80 - then fell asleep again and when I woke up about 1.5 hours later (closer to normal temp taking time) I took it again just out of interest and it was 36.94 I am cooking! - I have stuck with the first one as it seems more realistic

Ready - I think you wake up and take temp then go back to sleep?- do you ever take it again when you get up properly - if so does it go up or down? Or maybe that is jut the effect of "disturbed" sleep.

seaside72 · 14/02/2007 10:49

Oh help- I'm confused - about DPO - so if I think I ov'ed on Sunday (CD13) but my temp rise was on Tuesday morning - am I 2 or 3 DPO?

seaside72 · 14/02/2007 10:56

Mum03 - Sorry you had a BFN this a.m. - I know it would have sooo amazing to have a BFP today -but I think the signs look good and you are still a few days off AF. I think those early preg tests were just developed to make us spend more money grrrr. As Ready said at this point in your cycle there is really only a 50/50 chance of getting BFP.

Fingers crossed for Saturday

Seaside, no I don't take my temp again when I wake up, you need to have had 3 hours of sleep for a reading to be accurate. Which is why I set an alarm, cos my body naturally wakes me earlier than necessary. I'd say you are 3dpo

Weepootleflump, I generally adjust my temperature if I wake up earlier than my alarm. For every half and hour I adjust by 0.05 of a degree (celsius) so if it is an hour early and my temp is 36.07 I would adjust up to 36.17. Does that make sense? It's only a general rule though, I'd say if it isn't at a crucial time in your cycle, just mark it as a disturbed reading and don't worry. Hope this helps.

Honeyapple, sorry about the slight drop, as long as your temps stay above the coverline though, that's the most important thing!! Fingers crossed.

Mum03, sorry about your BFN.

Hope everyone else is having a great day!!

PS. I officially give up. I will no longer tell people that they shouldn't waste their money or emotions on early testing Good luck to everyone, whenever you test.
