rahrah - for you a new thread!

OP posts:
Ready · 20/02/2007 14:20

Is it wrong that I imagined a cat with a sythe hovvering over baby guinea pigs?? Yes, it probably is (apologies Rattling)

Foxes, rabbits I get squirrels, does that count?? Oh, and we have birds nesting in our roof, with babies too, I am certain that the mother sparrow is rubbing my nose in it!!

Seaside, You are right, this is the worst I have felt since starting ttc. Bless your heart for having to deal with the dead rabbit, but it's just instinctive for a dog to do that, don't feel bad

Mum03, Deal!! I will happily trade you some low temps if you want them I know I need to relax more, I am very highly strung at the moment not least due to ttc!

Greedy, I have run out of OPKs and that is the only reason I am stopping!! They weren't even cheapies off the net You are right, my eggs are so stressed they are scrambled!

Thanks so much for the support and the pep talks etc ladies, I really needed it today!! I can't seem to shake this cloud of despair that is hanging over me, but I will get there. I always do.

Ready sorry your temp down but glad you are trying month and trying to relax. t

Mrsmc - cant wait to hear your good news this Friday!!
I think the problem with when we get scared is we feel powerless and think we have no control over the situation. I have an exercise that I do which helps me because in doing the exercise I feel I am doing something and taking my power back and it also helps my body to relax too!!!!!!!
When I am worried about something I try to visualise it all being ok. For instance, if it were me in the same place as you I would imagine what the scan would look like and your wee baby being well. Just by allowing myself to see something good, I would then start getting some positive feelings about it Then everytime I got scared I would use this to help me get in a better space. It may seem daft to do but its much better concentrating on this than the fear side and its free. It has worked for me so many times I use it a lot for performing too!

Rahrah how shall we get in contact then? rahrah when are your results for tests due?

Greedy so excited to hear about your scan and pleased you are relieved, its so good to hear

Seaside well done on your cunning for planning the right day for blood tests. When are the results due? I am definitely off to cranial as soon as I am well again. You didnt kill the rabbit seaside your dogs did so its not on your karma and not on theirs either as that is their natural instinct .
Lottie and seaside - i am a yoga addict too!

Lottie I so dont want foxes in my garden because our chickens free- range - we have definitely been lucky so far.

Mum i will take bet on your coverline. I reckon your body will be contrary and go in between those 2 temps!!!

I am feeling ill today (been in bed all morning) so dont know if temp rise is due to illness or ovulation - confused!!!!!!
xxx

angelfire777 · 20/02/2007 14:33

Ready lots of typos. it is meant to say sorry you are having a trying month but glad you are trying to relax now though.x

seaside72 · 20/02/2007 16:07

angelfire - looks like it maybe an ov rise in your temps - it is certainly a signficant enough rise on yesterdays temp! how long are your cycles normally? I know being ill can confuse it a bit but if it is still raised tomorrow it looks good

Thanks for the karma correction! - my dogs are bad! They do it quite often but I felt more responsible today cos I have seen this little bunny everyday since Saturday and have scared it away every time before letting the dogs out - but today I just forgot and opened the back door to put out washing and it was all over in about 3 seconds !

IKWYM about the foxes - I would not feel nearly so bad if they killed a fox after seeing the aftermath of a fox induced chicken massacre at a friends house - not nice and seemingly so meaningless - it didn't even eat them.

Hope you feel better soon by the way {{{{{hugs}}}}}

seaside72 · 20/02/2007 16:10

Thanks for asking angel - my test results will prob not be in for a month or so - so we will go back in 3-4 weeks to discuss mine and DH's results together {quake} going to try to forget about it till then.

Lottie and seaside - thanks a lot for your help on ovulation.

Seaside - My cycle is always 26 days. Which would mean I ovulated on day 13. Thanks for your well wishes, I am doing a lot of sleeping and in between on mumsnet - so glad I have a laptop!! I will send lots of good vibes to you both about your tests. Hope you succeed in forgetting about them.x

Lottie - I LOL at your comment about "lots of boinging in".!!!! Managed to BD on 10,11, and 12 day of cycle but not on OV day as came back late, tired and not well unfortunately . Holding out for the theory that my DP has supersperm that can stay around for a while though!!!! Really glad you liked the visualisation idea and that you do a similar thing yourself.I had the most amazing results with it when I had to do a big solo at Barbican recently.
Really curious (nosey really!) about your cranio work. What was strange about it? What were the were the wierd thoughts that popped into your head? Did you go to seaside's one? (What she said about projecting is the kind of the thing we were talking about with the visualisation!!!! . )x

Lottie - Yay - glad you kinda liked cranio sacral therapy it is kind of weird (did you manage to find a therapist near you or hike up to Harley Street?) - I still don't fully understand it - all I know is that is cured my IBS and I went because I was recommended by a family member who had a herniated disc in her spine which was dehabilitating and all conventional docs etc had said only option was surgery - then she went to the cranio and within 6 weeks the pain was nearly gone and when she went back to the docs they were amazed - the disc had gone back into place!

I think it is something that you have to study to really get into it - another friend I referred ended up going on to become a therapist herself!

When I went into my session yesterday I could feel how tight I was - my heart was thumping realy hard in my abdomen and my head and neck were all jerky but after I felt much more fluid IYKWIM?
This is quite an intersting article

seaside72 · 20/02/2007 18:33

angelfire - def sounds like ovulation for you- my cycle averages at 26 days also (although it seems to change a bit each month from 24 -30 days!) and I am sure I ov'd on CD13 this month but the Fertility Friend software says CD14 cos my temp rise was on CD15. We did not manage to BD on the big day either!

rahrah1 · 20/02/2007 18:37

angelfire777 - My email address is [email protected] - shhhh nobody mention this to Ready she is a bit of a stalker!!
Bereavment midwife is due round tomorrow and said she would try and get them for me. Cross fingers..

MUM03... Yep pg this month sounds good...keep you to that... I think there may be a few others joining us!

mum03 · 20/02/2007 20:11

Rahrah - glad to hear that the bereavement midwife is coming to see you tomorrow, I hope she manages to get some results for you, I am sure it would help if you knew if the tests were ok or not. But either way I will hold you to getting pg next month, greedy promised me it would be march for us but she jumped ship ahead of time, so I now need you to be my pg buddy.

I had a tough time at work today, having seen all the babies in the morning, all I wanted to do with each of them is pick them up to cuddle them, but I do not have any excuse to do that. Then I had to spend the afternoon going through statistics of babies tested. So it was hard not looking at all the babies and wondering will I have one to cuddle soon?

My cousin had a baby a couple of weeks back, but the baby ended up back in hospital for a whole series of tests. The baby was very cold and not feeding properly, they have not found anything wrong, but he will not be let out of hospital until he regains his birthweight. It is odd, we worry about if we can get pg, then we worry about being pg and things that could go wrong, and then we spend the rest of our lives worrying about the child that we have brought into the world. How come motherhood is so darn hard?

Well my new pg tests came today, the super-sensitive ones that measure down to 10miu of hcg. Cheap from the internet, but were highly recommended! So I will try hard not to be tempted this month to test before af due, but they are there ready for me. As I know that this month is definitely going to be the month for Rah and Weepottle and me and who knows who else to get pg, ofcourse the rest of you will already have got there before us!!!!

MUM03, I'm officially your new PG buddy!

Sorry to hear your cousins baby has not been well. Hopefully he will put back on his weight very soon and get home.

I have said it before, but you have such a wonderful job looking after all those sick babies. It must be very hard though and difficult not to pick them up. But if it wasn't for people like you the babies would not get the care that they need...

Yes you will have a baby soon, well in about 10 months... as like you said March is your month and hopefully mine now as I'm your Buddy!

This month I am going to work on CM... I think that I'm storing it all up and the sperm can't go past it... so I need to get some good quality CM...that helps not hinder conception.... Best ideas please put forward.

weepootleflump · 21/02/2007 00:14

Ammy, I'm way over the other side from you - St Nicolas Park. LOL at you popping in on me (I now have a vision of you standing at my front door singing the Disney song ). How old is your dd?

MIL goes home tomorrow !!!!
This has been one of the worst weeks of my life but will never be repeated thankfully... dh and I have agreed she won't be coming again (she's soooooooo selfish you wouldn't believe).

Rahrah, sorry about AF . Still, nice to have another buddy this month.

Mum03, do you think ourselves and Rafrah are starting to sync in the way that girls who live together have their periods sync .

I'm so tired now, I really can't concentrate anymore so I'm off to bed. Night everyone.

Nearly forgot...
